Acrobat SDK

Looking for a way to link fields from parent to spawned page fields. I want to be able to fill parent form in and when a specific page is spawned certain fields autofill. I've linked all parent fields to fill when needed, but not sure what script to use for spawned fields.

Hi all,Our requirements are very simple. We have numerous PDFs which are basically scanned copies of the letters that contain text and images. We want to convert them into searchable PDF without losing the document layout and other real image content like logos or pictures. We want to do it programmatically using Acrobate SDK or API and NOT using the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC viewer application. Please let me know which Acrobat SDK do we need to get. Old forums suggest SDKs like Capture or PDF Library or Acrobat SDK or LiveCycle ES. I am not sure which one of these SDKs do we need. These SDKs come with numerous additional functionalities that we don't even need. is there a basic SDK that we can buy for our simple requirement?Regards,Viral Sheth

We are having issues highlighting scanned documents, more specifically documents that Adobe does not recognize as text. When freehanding after several marks, the application freezes and becomes unresponsive causing us to close out of the document.I have the fully updated version of Adobe Acrobat DC and I also have tried to repair the install. We have tested this on multiple machines with multiple documents and the results are the same. This occurs on scanned documents as well as documents that aren't scanned.I am running this on a Windows 7 machine running ver. 15.016.20045

I need to import a csv file as an attachment from a file directory in a pdf document. This is the file directory location: C:\Temp\trm\output.csvHere is the script:this.importDataObject("Unknown","c/Temp/trm/output.csv");When the script is run from the console, the console reports back as false.I think the problem may be with defining the cName?Any assistance most appreciated thank you.

the online fix is to " Edit> Preferences> Content Edit> Font Options.... when I go to preferences, content edit is NOT listed as an choice.  What now?

Hi, has a question about printing drawings from Acrobat Reader XI (and also Acrobat Pro X). When Printing a drawing that has both black/white and colored lines is hard to see on the print out. We have tried print the drawing as Picture and in black/white but the print out is better but still not good enough. The same problem is on different printers. Is there a way to get the print out of colored lines to be better?

I currently make pdfs of AutoCADs that end up rotated 90° clockwise. At times I have MANY AutoCAD pdfs that need to be rotated into correct position. Right now I have to rotate each one individually in order to keep their original file name. How can I rotate all the pdfs at once and extract them individually without losing their filenames?Might there be a JavaScript to do this?

Everything works fine the first time.  The second time it runs but the dialog doesn't open and the scripts begins using the second PDF.

Is there a way to create spot colors (and separations) from a PDF file that is CMYK? This is for the 2016 version of Acrobat Pro DC

I'm trying to get Acrobat to pre-populate a date field with today's date. I have placed the following code in the "Page Open" section:var f = this.getField("Date");f.value = util.printd("mm/dd/yyyy", new Date());Date is the field name. The format matches the format for the field. When I open the document I get the following error:"Invalid date/time: please ensure that the date/time exists. I have a script that uses the methods:this.getPageNthWord and this.getPageNumWords, I have it search the whole page for a zip code and then hold that value, is it possible to define a smaller area than the whole page for the script to search?

I've been tasked with locating software that allows us to digital sign documents to submit to various agencies.  I've been unable to determine if Adobe's product meets the FIPS 180-4 standard that we need to comply with.  I did see in the standards information it meets the 186-4.  Can anyone provide any references on the 180-4 standard in regards to Adobe's software complying?  I apologize if this is a stupid question.  However, I am not very familiar with either standard and want to make sure I can provide a recommendation based information I can cite.  Thanks.

Before there where a pipette tool in Acrobat, but now I can not find it. Do you know where it is gone.

I have been getting (and ignoring) this alert in Word 2016 and finally Googled it. It appears to be linked to an Adobe add-in with the filename linkCreation.dotm that was installed with Acrobat DC. This Microsoft website recommends deleting linkCreation.dotm. Hello,I have a user at my company that just got Adobe Acrobat DC standard.He his reporting that he cannot mark up a PDF with objects like arrows and lines. He sent a screen shot, to show the OBJECTS area to be greyed out.He thinks he needs the Pro version to get these features.Is this true, or is there something we are missing? not doing? etc?thanks!

I have a product that opens up html documents in a new tab on the browser and then sends a simple javascript command to print the document.We are looking to move away from this approach, and would like to generate pdf's that then automatically print out.So this question is simply part of a scoping exercise, and apologies if I am asking in the wrong place.  So, 1) Is it possible to embed some basic Javascript into a pdf template that we have automatically filled in, so that when the document is displayed in a browser, it automatically sends the print command to the browser?And if so2) Is it possible for us to attach (merge?) 2 or 3 product sheets to this generated template, so that with one print command I can print out the completed template and any required product sheets rather than having to open X tabs, one for the template and one for each product sheet that is required.Thanks

I've purchased Acobat a few years ago for an older computer and did download only so I have no disc. Can I get it on my new computer somehow?
