Hi all. I am having a problem with the cloud tool. This has never happened to me in the past, it started today. The default line type for the cloud tool is the ugly bubbly line. I always change it to the straight line and save those properties as default. This has always worked but today it will save other changes to the properties, line thickness and color, but the line type does not get saved. Each new cloud I draw is always with the ugly bubbly line. I do not have this problem with the other tools, I can change and set to default all aspects of them, line type, thickness, color etc.Is there a fix to this? I have tried restarting computer and acrobat, and have tried this on multiple documents.

Hi,I have installed and entered the serial number for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. If I start it as an administrator (local or domain) it runs an operates correctly. If a non-admin users logs on and starts it then it opens, responds but then closes after approx 30 seconds. I have updated to the latest version, attempted uninstall and reinstall twice. None of these fix it.How do I make it work for non-admin users? Non-admin users cannot click the Sign-In link in the top right as it closes before any sign-in attempt can be made.It is not an option to give the user administrative permissions, or to use "Run as Administrator" as non-admin users cannot be given administrative permissions or passwords. Many thanks.
If I protect my file so it can not be printed and one can not copy parts of the file, it works fine in Acrobat but....If I post that file on my website and people click on it, the browser opens the file in a viewer and the reader can print and copy without a problem. Is there a solution for this?Kind regardsPeter
I have a problem, me and a friend of mine has the same adobe reader Pro DC, she has that option when she highlight a text two times it's color changes, as if the opacity changes and that doesn't work when i try to do the same, any help ?
How do I save an edited "fillable" pdf form I did not create? I received it as an email attachment, and was able--with dificulty--to make changes, which I then tried to save to my HP laptop (Windows) thinking I could then attach edited version to an email to send back to the creator of the fillable pdf. Since I did not have Acrobat installed, my computer would only save the unedited version to my hard drive. I then downloaded a free trial of Acrobat, and did not close the attached pdf which I edited, so I apparently have not lost my changes yet. Thought saving edited version in Acrobat would be simple "idiot-proof" task, but it is not obvious to me how to save edited fillable pdf to my computer using Acrobat. Can anyone help? Thanks:)
I'm using this script,event.target.buttonImportIcon();today I tried to use the form on a PC opening it with Reader X. I created the form on a Mac using Acrobat Pro. So, when I clicked on the button running the script, it didn't do anything. When I opened the same form on my Mac using the Reader X the script ran fine. My question is, will this script work on the PC using Reader X or Reader DC? I would just like to understand and what to think. Can someone please let me know? Thanks, guys.
I want to use both security options AND add a signature. I want to use a PW for opening the document, a password for changing the document, and add a signature. Is that even doable? If so, in what order and when do i save it - between each step or after all steps? No matter what I try, I can only get 2 out of 3.Product in use is Adobe Acrobat 9.5.5 so I won't need answers for techniques in Adobe DC.
We had Adobe 9 pro for the longest time and recently switched to Adobe DC.I was looking for a specific pdf tool that is most useful.under tools, select &zoom, snapshot tool. Is this still available and I can't find it?

At organization I work for many users use Acrobat XI without issue. We have one user, who is set up like the rest as far as profile and hardware goes, that is contently having issues with Acrobat X and XI (we have tried both on her device) crashing multiple times a day. I was able to grab some dump files from these crashes. Please any help would be fantastic.[Moved from non-technical Forum Lounge to an Acrobat forum... I was filling out an interactive PDF. I saved it. Now it is no longer interactive. I can edit it using Acrobat DC. But I want the original functionality which was given to me back.
I am not familiar with Acrobat language. I'm trying to create a form fill with the W4 Form. There's a field where I have to add lines 3 and 4, but you can include amounts for credits from another worksheet. So I'm trying to sum the field 3 and 4 if the event value is empty, but if there're some other amount I want to add then I could add the manually and type them in the formfill. This is the code I currently have:var v1 = getField("W4D3").value;var v2 = getField("W4D4").value;// Set this field value equal to the difference if the field if emptyIf (event.value == null){event.value = v1 + v2;}PLEASE HELP!
I want to print one sheet from a revit document into a PDF - i constantly get an error message: Adobe PDF creation cannot continue because Acrobat is not activated. When i go to acrobat on my desktop and try to open it - it just doesnt open. I have tried to repair the Adobe program but i still come into the same problem wen i try to create a PDF with revit. in other applications within the creative suite (ie: InDesign) i can create a PDF without a problem. Any ideas?Nadia
I am trying to automate multiple steps:Step 1: Extract Pages from a Dynamically Generated PDFStep 2: Open pages one at a timeStep 3: Search for and copy first two words on the page (LAST NAME, FIRST NAME)Step 4: Rename file with "Date"_"LAST NAME, FIRST NAME"I looked into other options and saw that Adobe Bridge has a batch renaming feature. But it can only pull from metadata, so if I could automate the "LAST NAME, FIRST NAME" being copied into the Keywords Metadata that option would work.Any help on this would be appreciated
Hello,I have created an interactive PDF in Adobe Acrobat. Many of the form fields have been set up to allow the scrolling function. However, if you print, the text is cut off. There is a comments feature in Acrobat that allows you to leave comments on the PDF. You then have the option to print an outline of those comments when printing the PDF. Is there a way to do something like this for scrolling text boxes?
Downloaded trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. When trying to install, it stalls at 29% and tells that Safari needs to be closed. Closed Safari, and still get same response. Any suggestions?
Hi,I bought the Adobe Pro DC system in August, and downloaded it on my home and office computer (I think you get to use it on two computers). Two weeks ago my office computer died, and I had to buy a new one. I now want to use the system on the new computer, but I can't download and install it; I assume I've already used up my "2 computer" allotment. So my question is, how do I transfer my right to use the system from my old office computer (now dead and buried) to my new one?Dave Hammer
Is there a way to create two printing shortcuts one for printing in 8.5x11 and the other in 11x17? I am using Adobe Acrobat 11.Thanks,Blake
I use Adobe Acrobat Pro for work—I edit book covers and manuscripts. I mark up the text and put notes in the margins exactly as I would if it were pen and paper using a Huion monitor with a touch-screen pen. It mostly works great, but there is one extremely frustrating feature that I can't figure out how to turn off. Whenever I write too fast, which is to say, whenever I write at my normal speed, the lines I make automatically connect themselves to the lines around them. For example, when I make a hashtag in the margin, I constantly have to slow myself down, or else the first vertical line attaches itself to the second one at the top, and then the same thing happens with the two horizontal lines: This happens with my writing as well. In this example, I did not purposely connect any of the letters, but after picking up my pen and moving on to the next letter, the previous line auto-connects to my current line: You can barely tell that the word is “Little.” I ha

How do I set up the PDF employment applications so that applicants may attach their resumes, certificates, etc?
Hello everybody.To add a field with a dynamic date + "expiry date" i used this script:var inch = 72;for (var p = 0; p < this.numPages; p++) {var aRect = this.getPageBox( {nPage: p} );aRect[1] = .5*inch;aRect[3] = aRect[1] - 24; // and 24 points highvar f = this.addField("PrintField", "text", p, aRect )f.delay = true;f.textSize = 10;f.textFont = font.Cour;f.textColor = color.black;f.alignment = "center";f.readonly = true;f.display = display.noView;f.delay = false;}var d = new Date();d.setDate(d.getDate()+3);this.getField("PrintField").value = "Dokument gültig bis " + util.printd("dd.mmm.yyyy", d);this.setAction("WillPrint", myWillPrintScript);It works pretty well, but i have an issue about the need to save the file each time i print it.Is there a way to avoid the saving (as no changes are made to the document...) or as a workaroundto automize the saving-procedure?Another thing, is there a way to forbid users to make changes to an implemented java script?Thanks in advance,Otto
I have Windows XP. I installed Adobe CS6 Design Standard and registered my license key with Adobe.com where it shows up successfully. All my programs are successfully activated with one exception: Adobe Acrobat X Pro. Adobe Acrobat X Pro rejects my serial number as "not valid for this product" and returns an error when I try registering with my Adobe ID from the Help menu. It remains stubbornly stuck as a trial. I chatted with an Adobe tech and that got me exactly nowhere. What do I do?
I often add our letterhead as a background to pdf's however in the last day or 2 it is only adding the fields, not the text or logos.Has anyone came across this before?[Moved from non-technical Forum Lounge to specific Program forum...
