Acrobat SDK

I recently updated all of our Acrobat Pro and Reader installation firmwide from v11.0.15 to v11.0.16.  As soon as the updates hit our servers we got a blizzard of alerts regarding the Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Service being added.As far as I can tell this is new to v11.0.16 in our environment (that is, it wasn't there with v11.0.15).  Release notes for 11.0.16 don't mention the new service and searching around doesn't show much documentation for the service including when it was released by Adobe (I understand it was piloted for some users of Acrobat X a while back but not everyone).Has Adobe documented when this service was included with various products/updates and how it was deployed?  Did Adobe include notification of this in any of their release notes?Finally, given that all of our products are centrally administered and properly licensed is there any reason not to delete the AGSI service?Thanks.

Hi,I'm using Adobe Acrobat Standard Version 11.0.17 on a Laptop 8GB Ram Windows 7 64bit with  4 CPU threads (Interl Core i5).I'm working on a PDF of ~2.7MB.When using the function Content Editing => Add Text.The adobe screen is very slow and Acrobat window blinks at each typed Key.I opened Windows Task Manager and noticed that the process Acrobat.exe *32 was consuming a whole CPU Thread (27%)It's very difficult to add text on such PDF. And The CPU and RAM seems not to be overloaded... So it sounds the problem is in the Acrobat.exe*32 which is consuming too much CPU or refreshing the screen each time I type on a key...I tried to deactivate many parameters in the Preferences but the problem is not disappearing....Do you have any suggestion ?Thanks a lot,Frédéric Boisdron.

I'd like to utilize the data within comments for reporting - preferably using MS Access 2013. I know I can change the file extension of the xfdf format and get to the data, but it doesn't appear to have all the attributes I'd like.1. Does anyone know of a way I can get to the data?2. How can I get to reviewer, pageno, etc?Thanks

Sign In Failed message received - trying to open documents using adobe X1 - keep getting this "unable to sign in on this computer message"  indicating a previous user's email address -  pc does not have creative cloud installed on it. Any assistance would be helpful on how to get rid of this message. Thank yoU!

How do I update the name displayed when applying comments or highlights to a PDF?I am using Adobe Creative Cloud Free Membership and when I add comments or highlights the name that appears in the panel needs to be updated, it is displaying a network userID from a previous company I used to work at and not either my name or at the very least my email address.I have gone through the Preferences and cannot find any setting which controls this so am at a loss as to how to change it.Any help is appreciated.Regards,Richard

If I submit a form with a mailto: URL and with PDF The complete document selected, the subject and text generated for the email message are a bit generic, or at least not what we need.  Is there a way to change the subject and text of the email to which the PDF file is attached?

Greetings:I'm an English teacher in Korea and I am trying to figure out a way to make a PDF document with vocabulary on it play a recordeed sound when the user click on the specific word. I have figured out how to use rich media, but when I click the button for the target word, the sound plays once and then the sound file is disabled and no longer works unless you reload the document. Also, is there any way to make the sound file button transparent so that the person can still see the text and that it only makes a sound when you click on the word, there is not visual cue that there is a sound byte there?Thanks,Derek Dorsett

We had a server crash and had to rebuild but now acrobat doesn't work one of the two current servers, so need to deactivate on crashed server to use on one of current ones, how to do it?????

I just did a clean install of Adobe Acrobat Standard DC and it won't stay open after the installation on Windows 7 Enterprise. It is also not giving me any EULA prompts.

Hi,I have many .tif files that I have to convert to pdf and then stamp with a unique watermark. This watermark will be based on the filename, but only part of it. For instance a document with the filename bmw06125_x_1.pdf would need to be stamped with a watermark saying something like 'See mw06125'.So basically all I need is the mw06125 part of the filename to become part of the watermark is this possible with my copy of Acrobat Pro.I'm very new to this software and have yet to actually use it but I know it will allow me to automate a lot of the stamping and converting. I was also wondering if it were possible to use Excel spreadsheets as part of the automation, because I am able to write a formula that will create the name.Any help would be appreciated.-Alistair

Three users were provided licenses for Acrobat XI Pro and installed on their computers yesterday. Today, they reported getting a pop up thanking them for using the trial version and to buy a license for DC. Now I could understand that if they had selected "trial or subscription" when installing at first, but these are licensed versions with serial numbers.Is there an error being overlooked, or a way to prevent that pop up?

Hello all,Hoping to find some help regarding an issue I'm having. I have a  javascript running a calculation. If that calculation is off by a certain amount compared to another field it turns the text red. This is working flawlessly on pc and on microsoft tablet. However this is intended to be used on a IPad which it is not performing the task properly. The text changes red but then does not change back to black once the value is corrected. I have a ton of other scripts that are all working fine on IPad, it is just this color issue that is preventing me from finishing.Here is the script I'm running to change the color:if (Math.abs(this.getField("CALCULATED_WIDTH").value-this.getField("WIDTH").value)>=.03) {    this.getField("CALCULATED_WIDTH").textColor = color.red;}else {    this.getField("CALCULATED_WIDTH").textColor = color.black;}Hopefully someone can help me out with a solution.Thanks

I have multiple printers installed by different manufactures: see below. I find when I go to print through Acrobat and select a printer other than my default Acrobat freezes up from 15 seconds up to several minutes. Eventually, it will switch over to the selected printer and work fine unless I select a different paper size, going from the default letter size to say legal or tabloid it will then freeze up again from seconds to minutes and again will eventually switch to the selected paper size and work fine. Is there a reason these printers are causing this hangup? Is there a fix. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printers and Acrobat. I have made sure all my drivers are up to date. Still having the same issue.Please note, I do not have this issue with any other software; Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop as well as Publisher or word all work perfectly when printing.

I have an excel file with many links to pdf files. Those links are relative to the poistin of the excel file.When converting to pdf with adobe the links are converted in absolute links.What's wrong in my process? Do I have to sepcify a specific options or...?

So I have a form with radio buttons Yes and No.  What I want to achieve is:When Yes is selected the Comments text field is not required; butWhen No is selected the Comments text field required, so as to force them to answer why they chose No.Is this possible?  I do not know code or Javascript so please explain as if I'm a 5 yr old.Many thanks in advanceAJ

If I have a 50-page document that want to turn into a .pdf, I'm getting various sizes of pdf's depending on how it was created.  I've used three separate means of creating the .pdf and each item is vastly different in size.  1) Scanned into my pc using the multi function printer, 2) Imported into our document management system using a .pdf printer,  3) Drag and dropped pdf into document management  system.  How do you manage this?  This came up because the size limitations of our exchange server.  Some .pdfs are too big to email.  Any suggestions?

I just purchase DC Pro and have a few documents to add the digital signature certificate to...I forgot how to find the pen icon and the rest of the process to save it when complete.

Other figures in the body of the document show as expected. Prior to upgrading to Windows 10/Office 365, worked as expected. Just in the header and cover page images don't show up.
