I've copied this script, to address a common problem in Adobe. The script is to count words in a PDF. My question is how to run the dang thing ?

Hi,I attempted to reduce the file size of my pdf by using the advanced optimization menu this morning. When I did, I received a "cannot extract the embedded font..." error. Through some searching, I found that Acrobat has released a hot patch for this error. I updated my Acrobat DC, but I'm still having the error pop up.Note, I did check the font family in Font Book and received no errors. Is anyone else still having this error or am I missing something?Acrobat DC version 2015.017.20053MAC 10.11.6

Is there any way to:implement a startup script that performs operations when a document is opened?pass parameters from code calling the Acrobat Reader to such a script?I have a document that has a Name field for a person's name. The person's name is known before the document open is attempted. I would like to pass the person's name in as a parameter and have a script inject the name into the Name field upon opening the document.

HI,Is there a way to create a PDF form, where a second version, or third version - could have additional text and some fields not display?Think of way back invoices in triplicate where the second sheet says "packing list" and does not show the cost and extended pricing.Thanks.

Is Adobe Send & Track included in the Creative Cloud subscription or do I have to pay an additional fee?

I need your help please.I have created a 'Email us'  button on my PDF.  When people click on this I want them to be redirected to their email with my email address already in the 'To' area.I am using the latest Acrobat DC Pro version (free trial) and there is no option to create an email link.  I do not want to write my full email address on the page as I want them to simply click the 'Email us' button. Hello. I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (version 11.0.7) to build forms for a web site. One of the things I am trying to do is add a text field to the form that would allow for text to be a certain font size forced, but to be "narrow" instead of the full width. I am able to do this when adding text via content editing as seen below:The above example is size 66 Helvetica text with 50% horizontal scaling.When I try to do the same for a text input field I am unable to find an option to do this. I've looked through all of the available options in the properties popup menu for the text field, but I cannot find any option for horizontal scaling of the font. Is this possible to do in Adobe Acrobat? Using the above method of adding text by content editing isn't a feasible option due to the values needing to be flexible to changes based on the user.Thanks in advance for any help!

I just used a digital signature on a reputable website and it seems to have made changes in the appearance of my documents.  Is there a setting to go back to the way my documents appeared when adobe was first installed?  The reports I use for work have a different font now when they pull up and the copies I used for research have a more scanned in look to them.

Hi with adobe's new version I can´t print new pdf files.   Old ones I can though. The message I get is: I can´t print pdf files. No pages were selected.  I have a Mac Book with MAC OSX 10.11.6 and  Adobe: 2015.017.20053Any hints of what I should tweak?Regards, Oscar

Is there a way to print specific tiles (NOT specific pages) when using the poster option?I am working on a large display map that will consist of 3 individual panels, 76" long and 36" wide (our plotter size).  I would like to print just the top portion of each tile for testing, to see how the borders, etc align.I would prefer not to print the entire length of each tile for this purpose. However, when set to "Poster", while the scaling note indicates it knows there are 3 pages (i.e. tiles), the print selections only see the entire document (see image below).  Any suggestions would be appreciated!klf

In need of changing a text box color in several large PDFs. I do not have the original files these were created in.The thought of opening ONE PAGE AT A TIME in Illustrator to change these colors to our new brand makes me want to shove toothpicks under my fingernails.Anyone have a miracle or do I go get the toothpicks?

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard DC a few months ago and my laptop crashed and now I need to re-install but it wont' let me use the redemption code a 2nd time.  How do I re-install a 2nd time without having to purchase another license?  Please advise.

I bought the Adobe product to convert a PDF to Word. When I go into open the PDF file on the right hand side it gives me an option to convert. I click on that button and it takes me to the screen where I should buy the software. I've already bought the software I have an account and so now I'm waiting for it to work. It's been about 20 minutes and I go back out to the document click on convert it still takes me to the page to buy the software. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

We have created a document and added comments within Adobe Acrobat Standard DC and submitted those to a client, who has added some additional comments by copying the original comments made by us.Doing so the author is not changed to the person who copied the comment, but actually the original author is kept.Is this behaviour expected like this?

Hey Folks; We are putting together a book where the publisher has asked for us to format all PDF files with Acrobat Distiller. They referred to as PDF/x-1a:2001, and I believe it is an ISO standard. I can't find it on search, however there are references to it, but no menu option or drop-down can I find within the program itself. Any input as to what I'm doing incorrectly? We do have Acrobat Pro DC with the complete online creative services available for a one year subscription. I am under the impression that it resides within the Creative Cloud of the omnipotent Adobe...is that correct? Thanks & Peace, VanWyck

I have a mac (el Capitan) and I cannot instal reader DC.  It will not install and I can't figure out how to get it to work.

Hello,When inserting pages into a large pdf document, the hyperlinks that otherwise work in the source document, are lost in the target document. In addition, we get several error messages, among which "Bad parameter" and "Expected a dict object", which are rather unhelpful.Is there a workaround for the hyperlink issue? We tried several methods of combining files, in several Adobe Acrobat versions (9 through DC), on various PCs running Windows 7. Thank you!

When i will create a PDF im word with the Acrobat PDFMaker. Error: Adobe Acrobat is not actived. PDF-File can not created. After this messange i can't use adobe acrobat. i must repair the program. then I can work until the error returns. this happens about once every 2 weeks.

How do I insert coloured bookmarks? Also how to design a legend for those bookmarks for easy reference?thanks
