Adobe Fonts

Hi, I am looking for a web safe alternative to Fieldwork and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.  Would be much appreciated!  Thanks,Sandra

Looking for some information about using an Adobe Font for materials used throughout a company. If an Abobe font is used in a Word document or Powerpoint presentation that 75+ people need to be able to view and modify, does every individual computer need a license?  If so, this makes using these fonts prohibitive, no? ThanksTim

Fonts won't sync in creative cloud 20. Tried restarting and tried clicking the adobe fonts button off and on in preferences. Loading Adobe Fonts just spins.

Work for a school district who upgraded from Adobe pre-cloud to the new Cloud version. Some files that used to work, are now shouting that this new version of Adobe does not have the Oxford Regular/Italic. I couldn't find these fonts at fonts.adobe.com, and nothing is showing up. 1.) Does this Cloud version of Adobe not reference the operating system's font directory?2.) If the font does need to be purchased, are there any Adobe-approved sources for purchasing fonts? Thanks, Marcus

Does anyone know why Adobe Fonts does not have the ability to view more than 12 fonts per page? Having to click page-by-page to view 12 fonts at a time is very time consuming and infuriating. Is it really that difficult for the Adobe folks to have a filter option to View 24, 48, 96, or All Fonts on a single page? You'd think Adobe would be on top of the UI game here.

The branded font we use has been Caslon. Had this font forever (over 10 years) & if memory serves I received this free font from Adobe. Just transitioned to a new Dell laptop and it is not allowing this font family to install so I have had to replace in most of my files, manually, all of the text using Caslon with the Adobe Caslon Pro font family. The Adobe Caslon Pro option doesn't always show up as an option in the replace pop-up window when fonts are missing. A big hassle for me that should have been an automatic change to my mind since essentially the same font. Is there any way to make a global change to a file to switch from Caslon to Adobe Caslon Pro?

I am using an enterprise license in a company-controlled machine (Mac). I can activate adobe fonts from the web but they are not synced to my system. And I can't activate Adobe fonts in Illustrator/Photoshop.1) There is no font menu in the main ACC app. 2) When I am trying to activate an adobe font from Illustrator, it will start downloading but it will fail eventually (no message). The local font folder is empty as well ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CoreSync/plugins/livetype/.r3. My branding font is Nimbus Sans Novus. When wanted to activate the Adobe Fonts and use, i found that only Nimbus Sans is available not Nimbus Sans Novus. How can i find and install Nimbus Sans Novus? Cheers! BW   <The Title was renamed by moderator>

Is it possible to use Adobe fonts for a logo? For example, just three letters and a period? The license agreement confuses me because it is not allowed under the glyphs / letters ... Does that mean I am not allowed to choose a logo with three letters and a dot from the Adobe fonts? Can anyone help me?

Hi, few days ago I noticed that I can’t find certain weight of installed font in fonts menu of every CC app . Font is correctly active in TypeKit. But, when I’m opening .indd doc with this font weight used, there is no font missing! Font weight is correctly available in any others (no Adobe) apps. Any ideas?

I have been recently using adobe fonts. I have been through a large number of fonts finally to find the ones I would like to use in my work. I have activated all of the fonts and they have been working fine until last night. The fonts became unactive and when I tried to reactivate them an error message would present itself.  I am able to activate other fonts but the ones I had used remain in a state of error everytime I try to activate them. I am concerned that if I change the font and use another font that this issue will appear again.  Has anyone had this issue or has any advice?

Museo Sans Rounded 100, 500, 700, and 900 do not work in my instance of InDesign (15.0.1) for Mac (High Sierra 10.13.6). I think the issue existed before updating to the current version of InDesign, but I don't remember for sure. They worked just fine up until a couple of weeks ago. When first opening InDesign and creating a new file, the fonts show up in the dropdown, but when selected, they suddenly become unavailable and the text in the document gets a red highlight. From that point on, they don't show up in the dropdown anymore. If I open an already-made document that uses those fonts, the missing font diaglog box pops up and tries to activate them through Typekit (even though they are already activated). It spins infinately and never loads them. Museo Sans Rounded 300 and 1000 work fine. Illustrator and Photoshop do not have this problem. I've posted several similar questions, but it seems like each time I solve one problem, I have problems with the next set of fonts. Windows 10Microsoft Word 2016Adobe Acrobat (currently trial version) I have been using a variety of free and purchased fonts in Word, some ttf and some otf. In Word, File > Options > Save, I have checked "Embed fonts in the file." I save using "Save as Adobe PDF." But about half the time, the fonts I added are not embedded. They do not appear when I right-click the PDF  and examine the Fonts under the Properties tab. In every case, I have examined the installed font on my system, and it is either "Editable" or "Installable." Further complicating this, one font in particular embedded on one save, but didn't embed on another, and I don't think I changed any settings. I am at a loss here - it seems almost random which fonts will embed and which won't. Hi,I have Filson Soft activated on my Mac. It seems to have been activated properly. However, when I want to change regular text in Word, Powerpoint or another Microsoft Office Application into italic text it turns into Bold Italic. Whether I hit the Italic button or I choose Regular Italic in the Fonts Dropdown Menu the text turns Bold Italic in the document. How to fix this? Who can help me out?Paul 

OS: Windows 10. I purchased an Open Type Font which is supposed to be embeddable (I checked the font settings in Control Panel > Fonts : it shows as "Editable"). I am using Microsoft Word 2016 and I have Adobe Acrobat installed, so I used "Export as Adobe PDF." However the OTF font was not embedded and text using it turned into gibberish. Apparently Microsoft's answer is "Only use TrueType fonts. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"Is there any other way to embed an OTF font in a PDF? Can it only be done with InDesign?
