Up until 31st December it has been OK to use Adobe Fonts on client websites as part of a CC subscription (according to the license), but as of 1st January, what will happen to fonts which have not yet been removed, or changed on client websites? Furthermore, I see that you can still use web fonts in an HTML email or newsletter, or in a banner advertisement. How, in essence is allowing web fonts in an HTML email any different to using in a website? There is potential for more views in an email newsletter than on a website, so seems a bit harsh to continue to allow use in HTML emails and banner ads when website use is being discontinued (without the client subscribing to CC). Also, just wondering if anyone receieved communication from Adobe regarding this change in Adobe Fonts licensing? I don't recall seeing anything, nor can I find anything in my email archives.
I've just updated my iMac and then reopened the InDesign file I've been working on, and it's telling me that my adobe fonts aren't available. When I click on "fonts" in the CC desktop I get only a spinning circle. Is anyone else having trouble with this? My account is in good standing and the fonts are activated.
HiRecently my Adobe Fonts stopped to sync.. Just like that, one day worked, second day not. They re still loading, and loading. I tried all the steps from: https://helpx.adobe.com/pl/fonts/kb/troubleshoot-font-activation.html with no result. I have even provided acces to my computer for adobe consultant, two of them in fact (one was specialist). Only thing they did was creating new user account on my windows (with full admin rights - like I had on my account). Somehow it helped, fonts are syncing but only on that new account. They said they cannot do nothing more, becouse it is my computers fault. Anyway, I had no emails, whole personalization etc on that new account so I still tried to solve my problem. What I discover was:If I REMOVE ADMIN RIGHTS from my original account, and then I switch to it, if I restart CC, and open it WITH ADMIN RIGHTS fonts are working! Strange, huh? They do not work if:- I have admin rights on my account- I do not have admin rights an
Can someone give me a clear yes or answer to the following questions 1. From 1st Jan will all the sites i have built using typkit fonts stop working? 2. Will my clients need to get a font subscription for the fonts to keep working? 3. Which is the right subscription? I have scoured the net and the adobe website for answers to these questions. Please, can someone help.
Recently I can no longer use fonts that are activated in Adobe Fonts. They no longer appear in Illustratior, Indesign or Photoshop. I have restart programs, restart computer, log out and log in again; nothing helps. He remembers a number of fonts that I activated a while ago. Even if all fonts are deactivated in Adobe Fonts, nothing happens. It seems that the link no longer works. When I try to actived the fonts in the programs, it continues to indicate that it is activating but I can't use that font. Please help because I am working on a project where I need certain fonts that I don't get active now and therefore cannot continue with my work.
Main question is : Am I right in thinking that any client websites using Adobe Fonts will need their own Creative Cloud account in order to continue using them after Dec 31st 2019? [1]This doesn't seem ideal - is there no other licensing option? From reading old forum entries it seems like their used to be a "business license" on Typekit which allowed agencies to use Typekit fonts on client sites. I have many smaller clients who don't want to be managing licenses for multiple things and just want me to look after it all - I can't imagine they will be comfortable with needing a Creative Cloud account. How are other agencies / design companies handling this issue?Thanks,Frank[1] FAQ on licensing and web fontsCan I use web fonts for my client websites? The Terms of Use currently permits agency reselling, until December 31, 2019. After that time, your client would need their own Creative Cloud subscription to use for the web font hosting.
I am new to Captivate as well as to the subject of fonts in general. I am trying to use a font called Lobster 2 which is a system font. However when I generate a live preview of my project on various devices (like my phone, ipad etc.) this font gets replaced by other fonts. My question is -- will something similar also happen with Adobe fonts? Or is there any way to embed these fonts in my project, so that everyone will see them, no matter which device they view it on?
Hi all, I thought I had seen the answer to my issue a couple of times but sadly no. I need to use the fonts for a design and so I initially went straight to the Adobe fonts site. I tried signing in there but the button the you would click to enter your email address has a spinning motif on it. I am then taken bacl to the fonts page. I then tried the link in the creative cloud app but with the same results. I use an email address and password rather than logging in with Google or some such which I doubt is causing the problem but who knows. I have a password manager that auto completes the username/password for me but that doesn't seem to be the issue either. Besides, I'm not sure why it would work for weeks on end and then just stop working. I then updated all the apps to see if that made a difference but again, sadly no. I read that there had been issues with the server. Is there another problem with the server or is this coincidental? Can anyone off
Hi there, got anyone the same problem to access FotoFolio 11.1 Font downloads? My reseller bought 2x Adobe FontFolio 11.1 for me but I can't access the Adobe Licence Website (LWS) for download the purchased fonts. After a lot of Adobe Support Chats I "give up" and would like to ask the community if anyone had the same problems. Thanks | Frank
Hi,I want to use aktiv-grotesk font on our website.I saw that the only way to do that is by creating a project and then import or including the CSS with all the @11220649-face properties in it.The problem is that I want to use my own font-display property and not the font-display property that adobe has inside the style that they generate.any ideas what I can do?
Hi, Any suggestions on what font was used for the Good vibes sticker? I have found numerous fonts online, but the G's are more elaborate. Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Anyone else experienced a constant loop when trying to sign in online to your Adobe ID in Adobe Font? I'm trying to log in so that I can activate fonts to use in Photoshop and InDesign, but it just keeps looping the sign in page. I've seen people experience a similar problem in app, but my apps run fine, it's just when online (google chrome) when trying to log in to Adobe Fonts that I experience the problem. The solution that's coming up for the app sing in problem doesn't make sense to me as the files etc the directions mention don't exist for me. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
As of today I can't use any of the Google fonts (eg Open Sans, Ubuntu) which are activated in my account but not available in the Adobe software. Usually I just close and restart InDesign and the fonts work, but even restarting my system isn't working today. I could download from Google and install on my system but worry that this will affect documents previously created with the activated verisons. Has anyone else had/fixed this problem?
Museo Sans 300 font is showing as activated in my Adobe Fonts account in a web browser, but it is not showing up in the list of activated fonts in Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign. It strangely shows up in the 'Find More' tab and I can deactivate it and reactivate it from there, though when highlighting text and changing the font, it simply doesn't work. I get the notification that is has deactivated or reactivated but it never shows up. Any ideas?
Hi,Can you add a filter menu button to enable browsing of the oblique/italic weights of typefaces? Sometimes I need a serif italic but there's no way to easily preview them. Thanks, Jake
<The Title was renamed by moderator>
Al iniciar Adobe Fonts veo que el idioma que muestra es alemán, ¿cómo puedo cambiarlo?
Is it possible to use the Adobe creative cloud fonts in text messaging?
Adobe Fonts really needs a nice, handwritten, brush script font like Wild Spirit. I feel like all of the available handwritten fonts don't look organic enough and don't posses a nice, natural flow, or just aren't modern. Anyone else agree? Is there anyway to bring up this request to Adobe customer service?
Installed fonts disappear, so I have to deactivate and reactivate them one by one every freaking time I've restarted my computer. Don't release this functionality around fonts if it doesn't work! Basic release management and business model thinking Adobe! <The Title was renamed by moderator>
Hi all!The administration of our company wants to use a font from our brand identity (griffith gothic) in there invoices. We have a download version but it does not contain the €-sign.Unfortunalty they don't use programs like Suitcase etc. (like us designers) in wich they can activate the font from Adobe Fonts. Is there a posibility to download one font family for them to us? I was looking at Font Folio, but then you have to purchase the whole library...
Hello! There is a strange problem regarding displaying Univia Pro from Adobe Fonts on our website. At first, it looked incorrectly everywhere, like a totally different font: Changing font family from font-family: univia-pro, sans-serif;(as by Adobe Fonts)tofont-family: "Univia Pro"fixed the issue, but only for Windows. On Mac it still appears broken. Developers don't see any issues with code or implementing link into our web project. Is there any way to make it look just as beautiful as it actually is?Any help would be really appreciated! Thank you
Hello, my website www.antoniarandazzo.com is using the typekit font Futura PT. It is working in both Chrome and Firefox but the font will not display in Safari and I can not figure out why. please advise!
1) I have a web builder that not Adobe. Can I use Adobe Fonts there?2) Adobe Fonts is a virtual use only while you maintain an Adobe CC account, is that correct? If so, as a designer or stadholder, such as a designer’s client, any font that’s relied upon will disappear once the Adobe account ends.
Hello everyone, First off, thanks for reading and trying to help. My problem is the following: I can't seem to apply font-size to any of my headings or paragraphs. They do register in the CSS and are also in the inspector when I open it, but they apply nothing. My HTML (not the full, just the snippet with the heading): <header> <figure> <img src="images/simple.svg" alt="Logo"> </figure> <h2>Simple.</h2> </header> And the CSS (I'm using SASS): h1 { font-weight: 700; text-shadow: 0.1rem 0.1rem $dark-blue; } I've also linked the typekit CSS, and made all headings with the font-family: <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://use.typekit.net/oxj1cak.css">h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 { font-family: "abril-display", serif; } My font includes the bold type-face, I've tried
