Adobe Learning Manager

I am new to Adobe products for e-learning and I need a flow diagram that list "need to know apps vs nice to know apps" to learn. Are there Adobe products that I need to learn first before learning Captivate or Prime?

Hi guys! I'm having some issues with Adobe Captivate 2019. Several team members use Captivate, so we need to keep all of our files online for easier/quicker access. Last week my PC started to have performance issues while I was using Captivate, and finally I had to format it (we use corporate PCs). My problem is that my organization's IT team reinstalled my Captivate with a file they use (we need to get IT to install our software for corporate reasons) and, when I tried to continue working on a client project, I realized the files won't open. I tried opening previous versions, but I still have the same problem. I even got my colleagues to try and open the files, but they get the same error "Adobe Captivate could not open **. Ensure that ...". I already tried to use the project backup files and zipping the cache files, but nothing worked. An Administrator can grant special privileges to a user group, using which members of the group can participate in all boards. Any restrictions that were set in the Scope Settings section is bypassed by the special user group. The user group can be either auto-generated or custom. When the Administrator selects a user group, by default, all users in the group can access all boards, irrespective of the scope of the user. Any user with these elevated privileges can view and participate in all internal and external boards. Special users receive curation requests across all scopes if users have sufficient SME points for that skill. If the user does not have the required SME points, then the curation privileges are passed on to the top three SMEs of that skill. Hello Captivate Prime Community! I'm running into an inconsistent issue. It almost seems random, so I wonder if its isolated to my company's network admin's security settings or end user devices.  Learners are reporting that courses are failing to load all together. Basically they just get the HTML background color or a black screen. Some get a frozen loading symbol. Testing on my end, the course loads fine, but on their end it does not. Usually, after reloading the course several times, closing a few tabs/apps, it will let them in. It is frustrating to say the least. Its not limited to SWF courses either. It does it on HTML courses as well. Again, seems really random and cannot find a root cause on my end. Courses were created in the most current version of Captivate. Any feedback or experience with this? Possible security setting or whitelist I need IT to unlock for the Prime site? Thanks!

Hello, We have created several virtual sessions for our learners to enroll in. Several learners enrolled ~5 hours ago and have yet to get a calendar invite from the system. Does anyone know why this would happen? Is there some sort of lag that we should be aware of? Last week when I self enrolled in a session, the invite came through about 20 minutes later.  Any help is appreciated...

In the learner experience when you search for a keyword you can select the "See All Results" and the system performs a search that brings back all results related to that keyword. But on the Admin side there is no such functionality. I am wondering if there is a wildcard that I can enter with my search that will pull all results similar to my keyword. Example: I have 10 courses with similar names Course 1, Course 2, Course 3, etc. I would like to perform a search such as "Course*" and have the search result display all 10 courses. Where * is the wildcard.Is there any way to do this in the Admin role?Thanks.

Hi All,We have certain courses(grouped as a program) which are mandatory for anyone joining our organization.  We wish to set a dynamic deadline of 30 days post registration as the course completion deadline.Is there a way to achieve this?  The only option I've found is to set a deadline date, not number of days.CheersAshutosh

I have never seen a more complicated process in my entire life. I want to move a single certification and its records from a Captivate Prime Domain to another. I have 6 spread sheets and an unlimited number of errors.THERE MUST BE A BETTER WAY!

Hello everyone!Got a non-urgent question here that maybe someone can help me with.When I export a report to Excel from dashboard, I notice that all of our time fields (like completion dates) are defaulted to UTC TimeZone. Now, I personally am located in Central Time (CST/CDT) or UTC-5:00 currently. So, all our dates and times are 5 hours in the future (or so it appears) due to the times being in UTC.On our Prime settings, the timezone for the LMS is set to (UTC - 06:00) US/Central and my Adobe Profile is also set to the same. This is our Company's main timezone.Is there a way to change the reports being exported into Excel to show times in our timezone? Or, is it always defaulting to UTC and we have to convert manually on the exported data?Thanks again for any help here!

I am looking for a technical reference guide that shows files and attributes within a file in Adobe Prime so that I can define migration details from another LMS to Prime.  Does anyone know where I can find this and if so, help with directing????THANKS!

HI all,I am able to share dashboards it seems. The functionality works, and the recipient I am adding to the Dashboard gets a notification in the LMS.  However, the link they get from the notification takes them to a 'permission denied' page.  In my case, I am sharing a Dashboard about External Users, to an Internal User account.  I am unsure of the issue especially since the LMS allows me to share with that person.Any advice here?Thanks,N

Hello -I would like our learners to be able to revisit a course after they have completed the course and passed the test. I design courses in Captivate and upload them directly to Captivate Prime. What settings do I do in both Captivate and Captivate Prime to make that possible?Thank you -Kris

Hi there! I have a course with 9 modules and each module has a quiz at the end. The quiz allows the learner two attempts to pass the quiz. One of my learners failed the quiz at the end of Module 8 and it will not allow him to try a second attempt. How do you reset the module within the course without reseting the course? Thanks!Joe

Are there any plans by Adobe to get the interface languages into more options? If so, by when?  I see the current list. I am asking because I need the interface language to be in Arabic.Thanks

I am trying to create a fillable form that I can upload to Captivate Prime. I use Captivate 2019. It is possible but has some serious flaws.Is there any instructional design software that may do a better job?Issues with Captivate:Each text entry box requires it's own submit button (can be fixed with a huge amount of advanced action programming)Captivate is looking for a correct answer to score where I just want it to score if the text entry box is filled inIf anyone has a better option let me know. If I want to easily see the total of a learner's enrollment, is running a report the only way to go? Sometimes I just want to quickly pull up someone's enrollment in the UI. I really do not need to configure and download a Learner Transcript. Thanks in advance.

Looking for a better solution than the one I've come up with so far. We use fillable forms a lot for things like documenting goals and mentorship interactions, which then need to be communicated to the trainers and occasionally managers. There has got to be a better way than relying on the Form Submission for all of this, right? With form submission, user responses don't pull in an excel report of their learner transcript, you would always have to go back to the original file upload. It would be a tremendous amount of work to switch all the forms into a captivate, but is that really my only other option to report on the data within Prime. I've looked into easygenerator (https://www.easygenerator.com/homepage-new/​) which does output a Scorm 1.2 package but doesn't give me question and response data within Captivate Prime.. Only pass/fail. Any insight, suggestions, clever workarounds are appreciated.

Hello!We have created a learning program with 3 courses, each having 3 modules. As a learner completes, it moves from module to module within a course no problem.However, we noticed that the Continue button on the Learning Program screen actually doesn't continue where the learner left off, but restarts the learner on course 1.Any reason for this? The progress on the individual content modules is saved as the learner can click on the module they were on and it returns to the slide they left off at. But, the continue button above doesn't.The average employee of ours will take the training in pieces while on the clock. They will intuitively click on continue thinking it will start where they left off.Any help will be appreciated.

I'm not able to upload a CSV file containing a list of "first/lastname", "email address", "title", "Manager email" and I wanted to know if even though my manager accounts have already been created, whether they would need to be added to the CSV file regardless of their existence. I get the following error proceeded by a request to select what the Manager's Id field contains, which is blank: tValues in the Manager's ID (parent) column could not be processed.

I am wondering if Adobe hosts user group meetings for CP admins? If so, where can I sign up? If not, is there interest in starting one from the community?Another LMS vendor I used to work with hosted these types of meetings and I found networking with other Admins in like businesses very beneficial when troubleshooting, problem solving, and finding work arounds in the system. We would also combine our forces together to ask for development items and enhancements.
