Hello there! I'm writing because I'm not able to create proxy files for my Canon R6 Log clips. The problem seems to be the fact that Media Encoder doesn't read the HECV H.265 files, infact I am not even able to import these clips inside the prgram. But if I use my second camera (whose files are H.264) to create proxies everything is fine. How do I solve this problem? Why does Media Encoder not read R6's Log clips? P.S. I have the HEVC extension in my pc for Windows 10, but Media Encoder still doesn't work
Since i have updated our software to the 2021 version ME, AEor PR isn't able to export a full Video in the H.264 Format. There ist allways about 10 percent missing in the final file, ist just freezes and keeps showing the last good frame until the full length of the video. I dont get an error message in the protocol and i dont do anything different than in the 2019 Version wich worked just fine.We have three iMacs with reasonable specs and the same issue happens on all of them and it happens wether i use ME or export directly from AE or PR. Does anyone have an Idea or sees the same Problem?Did miss updating something else? This doesn't make sense to me.
i dont know what happend ?????????????? is not working i givimg monye and look at this
I am having issues with media encoder. Not sure if this issue has to do with the recent update, but I have tried to go back to version 15.2 just to get a video to export. I am trying to export a video using media encoder. I pick my usual preset - HD720p 25. When I click play to export the video, It does not give any remaining time and the elapsed time is at 0. When the video does export - it is only 50kb (it should be triple that) and it does not play anything. Is this happening to anyone else?
When I convert a Prores 422HQ file with color points set to 1-2-1, to a MP4 High Bitrate through Media Encoder it always turns the color points to 1-1-1, which makes the file display differently in Quicktime. I have been using Resolve instead of Media Encoder, as Resolve keeps the 1-2-1 setting. But I wondered if there was a way to do this in Media Encoder. thanks
I am currently on Version 15.4 (Build 42), but this is an issue I have had for months. Basically I have a very large 8K HEVC (main10) video I am trying to export with a target size of around 256G (the max upload to Youtube). The media encoder took about a day to render the file, and then when it reached 100%, it just got stuck there. No CPU/GPU, but it does have about 5.5MB/s harddrive activity. I looked on the hard-drive and there is an intermediate file of approx 250G in size with the extension mkv. In the past, with smaller files, I simply waited a long time and then the mp4 file was finally written/closed, but this time.... it has been at 100% for about 6 hours. If I take the 250G and divide that by the rate 5.5MB/s, that indicates to me that maybe I have a 14 hour total wait for it to do whatever on earth it is doing. Also, previously when this encode was taking a long time, I took that intermediate file and then used ffmpeg to add the missing audio track to it. In the curren
The estimated file size in my render settings isn't showing. My guess is that the file size is too large? The whole thing takes about 2 or so hours to render. I've attached screen shots. My video is 3D and from After Effects. I am using the C4D renderer. Thank you.
A few nights ago I started having issues with my external harddrive I use to edit off of. It started simple as just getting more slow than usual, and I noticed that the disk usage would be pinned to 100 in task manager and the project file I was working in crashed. I went to bed figuring I would deal with it tomorrow, and the next day suddenly one of the bigger folders on there, my stock footage folder, was corrupt and unreadable. After trying to deal with that for an hour or so suddenly I started having issues with the other folders as well where it was telling me there was an I/O error in reading any of the folders on the drive. When I plugged the drive into my laptop everything was accesible, so it seems like it is an issue with my PC specifically. Windows prompted me to repair the drive when I plugged it back in and that seemed to fix most of my problems. (I also somewhere along the way switched the hard drive's cord with another one I had lying around). My stock footage folder was
Hi Community. Here is a new one for media encoder. We render TIFF, PNG or TGA streams to from AE with alpha channels...a lot. Daily animations for studio use live to broadcast TV.We have up until the new version, used Media Encoder to compile these stills with ALPHA (usually PNG files) to a third paty codec that works wiht our live studio VIZrt system: Matrox MPEG 2 I-frame HD+Alpha. It's been rock solid and fast. The new version of media encoder corrupts the entire AVI file. Glitches, Alpha, everything, just goes to garbage, and portions of the image look like they are converted to 16 Colours.I can pull these same PNG's back into Premiere, or After Effects and they export to this codec fine. THe problem is unique to Media Encoder. Any ideas? And please, before telling me to roll back...no...the previous version of ME was so buggy, the above use was pretty much all we could use it for, as t constantly hung during AE renders.
Hello,I'm new to the forum. I am not able to complete my render on a composition(see specs below). The trend I see is that shorter renders are able to be completed, but the problem comes on the longer overnight renders within. Each time it stalls a different point(25% completed one time, over 90% completed this last time). No error message shows. No error is logged in the AME encoding log. There is no "not responding" message from the task manager. I have included a screen shot. The solutions I have tried are as follows:The graphics card has been upgradedAME/AE was downgraded from 18.4.1 to v18.2(current screenshot shown) **(As an interesting aside that is not related to this AME forum but is relevant, I tried the file within the AE beta v 22.0 to take advantage of the multiframe rendering. The file was completely rendered but the quality of the render was not acceptable. It had green glitches that do not show up when I render in nonbeta versions. I share not to address the AE beta v 22
I have created a video that rotates various product packshots. That means that I have multiple Layers of packshots the same size and position that are cutted together one after another, just the packshot color changes. After exporting the video through the Encoder, the video has errors that are not present in the file in After Effects. The packshot layers flicker, overlap, or do not display. The Encoder says that the export has been successful.Already made several updates and tried to export on othe devices. Export settings are set on "maximum depth" and I rendered two passes.Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Premiere Pro and Encoder both 15.4.1 Both begin rendering a sequence however stop at about 2% of the way in and crash, not matter the codec, outfile format, dimensions etc. I have tried openinghte sequence in a new project, replacing the media i thought it didnt like, installing a previous version, and the classic turn it off. I am running on a £12k iMac Pro and the fact that I can't just export a video really speaks volumes into how Adobe utilises its software to hardware...
Hi, I'm trying to render a After Effects comp out of AE CC 2019 with Media Encoder CC 2019. My relevant computer specs are an i7-8700K CPU and a Gigabyte windforce 2080 GPU. Basically, whilst rendering the comp I opened task manager and noticed that Media Encoder was using barely any of my CPU and absoloutely none of my GPU to render the composition. I checked to make sure GPU acceleration was on and it was so I have absoloutely no clue as to why media encoder is doing this. Pls help 🙂
I have been rendering from After Effects without a lot of messing around in Media Encoder settings, and until recently I get .mp4 animations that play in browsers, etc. Recently AME has been producing mp4s that no browser will open; the available offered apps are QuickTime Player and Books and something called Handbrake. (Also, in QuckTime Player the color is extremely washed out; I think I have all Photoshop source files and PS and AE working spaces set to sRGB). I may have done something when I was trying to adjust AE's color space; I don't know. But now even when I choose something designed for web, like a Facebook preset in AME, the rendered file will only open in QuickTime.
Hi All, We are using AME as a service, to encode files to required formats. We are using panel api to submit the jobs to AME service. This workflow was working fine, but now we have issue with submitting multiple requests to AME encoding queue.Once a job is submitted to the encoding queue, next request is not added into the encoding queue. If we restart the AME service and submit again the first request gets submitted to AME queue, but then also next request is not added to AME queue. We are using the following code to add the file to AME queue. var fe = app.getFrontend(); var addResult = fe.addFileToBatch(filePath, presetFormat, presetPath, output); If we stop AME service and open the AME GUI, all requests gets added to AME encoding queue without any problem.Windows 10- Media Encoder 2021 (15.4 build 42) Is this a known issue? is there any work around or different method which we can use to solve this issue. Thanks and Regards,Anoop NR

Don't know if nayone else has had similar issues but the latest Media Encoder is slower and more resource hungry than previous versions. I regularly encode a project from 1080p/50 PoRes 422 files. Up until recently 47 mins of video (split in 4 separate files) would take arounf 45 to 55 mins to encode to MPEG2 576 25i files. Hovever in the last few weeks this has incresed to between 85 and 116 mins. During the encode the fans are on full blast and mouse movements are slow and semi unresponsive, As an expriment and as I had not uninstalled Media Encoder 2020 I ran the same project, this time it took 39 minutes with no excessive fan noise although they were certainly still chugging away. I am using a MacBook Pro 16" 8 Core i9, 16 GB RAM with AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4GB, There is also around 550GB of free space on the SSD system drive but the encoded files are comng from a 6 month old connected 7200RPM GTECH desktop HDD connected via USB3. All apps closed excep
I'm operating on a Macbook Pro 2017, 8GB of RAM, 1536mb on the graphics card. I'm using the latest version of Premiere and ME.I exported my whole bin of .MOV files from the ARRI Alexa Mini. All the files are video only. Most footage comes out normal, but about 5 or 6 files when expoted as proxies export as only a black screen. I tried changing the settings and only exporting single clips, it seems like ME is intent on exporting a blank screen for these specific clips. I don't think it has anything to do with length of the clips, because some of my longest clips exported fine. It seems to have chosen the clips to mishandle at random. Let me know if any of you have experienced something like this. Thanks!
I've worked on this edit for about eight hours, and right when I go to export it out of after effects, i use adobe media encoder because I can't render in after effects and it's also the only program that lets me export my edits. And it's stopping at the same exact frame. I've done so many things and this is been going on for two days. Whenever I try and connect to comp out of after effects, it's stuck on this; But this didn't happen at all before. I imported a AE file into here and it showed me the comps, I picked one, and it rendered. Until it was stuck on the same frame it always seems to have a problem with; Later, I deleted my previous version of AME which was 14.0.2 and updated to 14.2.0. it worked for a second then went back to the same frame. I've read articles similar problems to mine, posts from here, you name it, I read it. Also, I would export from the AE queue and click the import to AME button, and it worked the first 2 times then failed. When i pressed the green ar
We have a new tv show that we are working on. We just got our delivery specs. I find them super confusing. We normally just make apple prores 422 720p 59.94 stereo files for air, but these guys are 1080i. I asked them to provide a mediencoder preset, but they said they don't have one. Any idea how I could make my own preset based on the information below? Note: We shot 1080p 23.97 and thats what we are editing with. They want: HD VIDEO SPECSOP1a MXF Container conforming to XDCAM HD422 specifications (per SMPTE RDD-9):MPEG-2 VIDEO1920x1080i @ 29.97fps4:2:2 Chroma50 Mbps CBRLong GOP (12 frame)NTSC Drop-Frame TIME CODEThe video essence must only be MPEG-2Audio:Channel Mapping for 2-channel Stereo Content1 - Left Stereo2 - Right Stereo3 - MOS4 - MOS5 - MOS6 - MOS7 - MOS8 - MOS They also have information about closed captions, but they said they would do that part for us. How do I get media encoder to output a file that they will be h
Creative Cloud still supports Premiere v13.x but no longer supports the corresponding version of Media Encoder. I have several legacy projects still going in that version of Premiere but using Media Encoder to make proxies/exports no longer works because that version is not on my system. Please make version 13 of Premiere's system program available in Other Versions.
I have an older 4th gen Dell 9020 Optiplex SFF desktop with the 4570 Core i5 processor, with 16G of memory installed and an Invidia Geforce 610 GT for graphics and run CS4 as that's what I still have to edit with, it's the full master suite. At this point, funds are tight due to Covid, still on furlough etc, plus my PC is too old to run the latest CC version of Adobe products anyway and am having an issue with importing footage into media encoder to generate proxy files for easier editing as the CPU bogs down in rendering anything just about. Since CS4 can't natively take H.265, but can do H.264 no problem, so my GoPro Hero 9 footage gets converted to H.264 no problem, but then the issue is, getting it to 1280/720 for proxy file editing and once I set up the encoder to encode, and I hit the que, it blips and it's done, but the file is not playable. In the format, I initially set it to Quicktime, so when I click on that, it gives me in the preset colum, NTSC DV or NTSC DV widescree
I have tried various output presets, but the AE file I am trying to render keeps failing. I need an alpha chanel. Hello, I've tried many different ways to try and fix my Adobe Media Encoder 2021. Everytime I want to export a project file or any file from After Effects it won't respond and Adove Media crashes. However, I can open it without any projects to render I just can't import a file without it crashing. I've tried many ways as I can for instance, adding the project file from above media encoder, I've tried clicking on composition in After Effects "Add to Media Encoder queue" and it still won't work. Please help me and I have a Windows 10. I just want to import my files to Adobe Media Encoder 2021 from After Effects to render. Thank you for reading.
I'm trying to export a project, 1920 x 1080, 60 FPS, the standard, when trying to export it, media encoder fails within minutes of starting. I've tried many methods but it won't work, it's an After Effects project, I have a few plug ins if that means anything.
