My issue revolves around the dynamic link. I edit videos as my career, and my workflow is as follows: Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder. Just yesterday I experienced an issue when importing my After Effects composition into Adobe Media Encoder:I had to work around this error by exporting inside of AE. I have tried adding to AME queue via the render tab, along with using the File/Export/Add to AME queue menu. When attempting those methods the project will either not show up in the queue or read "Could not read from source" when attempting to render or change settings: Dynamic-link works fine when moving my premiere project into after effects, but my workflow after that is completely soiled. I need help ASAP!
I'm just trying to render an animation, and the first rendering file from after effects is in correct colours, but when I upload that onto Media Encoder to compress it comes up completely different. This is what it looks like after rendering on After Effects. And this is what it looks like when I upload it to Media EncoderI've rendered many things the same way and never had this problem, if anything the problem was the images were coming out slightly darker.
I was trying to create proxies for the first time and I so I used this ingest preset by Matt Johnson"Cineform 1280x720 23.976 Quality 1 Watermarked INGEST" These were my settings - Source File: /Volumes/LaCie/ALL FOOTY/ASIA/JAPAN/Tokyo/KAMAKURA/MVI_0008.MP4- Output File: /Volumes/LaCie/ALL FOOTY/ASIA/JAPAN/Tokyo/KAMAKURA/Proxies/MVI_0008_Proxy.mov- Preset Used: Custom- Video: 1280x720 (1.0), 23.976 fps, Progressive, Quality 1, GoPro CineForm, 00:00:48:10- Audio: Uncompressed, 48000 Hz, Stereo, 16 bit- Bitrate:- Encoding Time: 00:00:0405/05/2020 09:01:35 PM : Encoding Failed-------------------------------------The Operation was interrupted by user------------------------------------- I would really appreciate your help, in terms of how to fix this so that Media Encoder can properly create the Proxy files
Is it possible?

Hello, I've been having problems rendering my video through media encoder . I've been getting I/O error, sector 9 and Error 14. I was using format Apple ProRes mxf and preset ProRes 4444 with max render quality and depth. I tried using H.264 for rendering on the same project before and it works just fine. Its just happens when I switch to ProRes that this problem occurs. I also want to note that I have plenty of space on my SSD and tried to change around the time it fails, the clip speed, replace it, trim it and still nothing. Could someone help me understanding the problem and what causes this to happen?

Hey guys, My AME has been encoding rushes since yesterday from 1080p 422 .mov to 720p quality 1 gopro cineform. I'm using 2017 MacBook Pro, 16gb of RAM, 2.3 GHz Dual-Core Intel core i5 and using both 2020 premiere and 2020 AME. Ive made it about a quarter through the rushes, the footage is stored on a g-drive but is currently plugged via a crappy cable to a crappy dongle and into my MacBook which is potentially why its taking so long. I have a much more appropriate cable which can be plugged directly from Macbook to drive however I'm worried that I'll have to redo the entire procedure of encoding and the cable switch won't save me any time. What do you think should I change cables or do you have another idea, maybe allocate more ram? Cheers!Billy
Hi!I made a timecode overlay on a transparent video layer in Premiere pro, and want to export to the AME queue. But when I render from AME, the timecode does not show up. I see it in the Premiere Pro export dialog, but once I hit "queue" and AME opens, the timecode is gone. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks in advance,Lori
We are exporting to ProRes through AME. Unfortunately the bitrate is limited to 1.000 kbps and the option to change it is disabled... Any ideas? 🙂 Thanks!
Is there any way in Media Encoder to specify & preserve the language of audio tracks during export? I need to create a mezzanine output file with English, German, and French audio voiceovers. I'm able to export a multi-channel Quicktime file out of Premiere, but all the language metadata on the tracks (according to both ffprobe and MediaInfo) is set to English. I've searched everywhere but can't find an answer.
When I try to export my AE (2020) comps using Media Encoder 2020, I am getting an error that says "Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again."Similarly, if I try to edit the settings for a render item in AME, it tries to connect with Dynamic Link and after a while gives me the same fail message. I've dug into the log files and it is pointing to the correct file source. However, sometimes things work just fine.My current theory is that there is a plugin that somehow interferes with things, though it's worth pointing out that I didn't have this problem with previous versions of AME.I'm currently exporting to intermediate renders which I then filter through AME into the client's preferred specs, which is a needless and irritating workflow, not to mention time expensive. Anyone else have this problem? Or know how to resolve it?
Hello, Media Encoder doesn't render the screen i see in Aftereffects.Media Encoder doesnt render the effect i am using. That thing happened to me before for only few layers but when i restarted my laptop it worked. Why is the sound of my VOB files not perceived by Adobe Premiere or Media Encoder? The sound is there when I read from VLC.
After Effectsで制作しMedia Encoderで書き出しが出来ません。Premiereの場合は書き出しが出来るのでMedia Encoderの問題ではないと思います。どう対処すればいいですか。
I had problems rendering video. It renders an MP4 file that's just the audio of the project, and a corrupted M4V file. I've tried to recreate the Adobe Project from scratch and ended up with the same result.
Yesterday the arrrow was on my desktop folder, it meant I couldn't open it or bring in AE projects saved on my desktop. Today it is on downloads and I cannot view any files in there .
When I send to media encounter queue from after effects the media encounter queue app opens (as it should do) but the job never shows (the export list remains empty) - I have restarted and updated everything with no luck. I have tried to uninstall the Media encounter with no luck there either - just fails and gives me error code 301 (which I cant find online) worth also pointing out that I do have the correct queue window settings selected within the media encounter app so it is not that. ANY HELP WOULD BE AMAZING
I've reported this as a bug but it's worth posting here for if anyone runs into this or has any ideas to work around the problem.Exporting DPP AS11 files has awful levels shift. Shadows raised and highlights dropped. I've tested creating AS11 in Media Encoder from a dozen different mezzanine files and encounter the same. So Media Encoder doesn't appear to be an option for AS11 creation as far as I can tell. It's strange as I've used it the past. I've rolled back to test older versions and found it works fine in Media Encoder 2017. Versions after 2017 (v 11.1.2.35) it's stopped working. We were looking at shifting to media encoder for AS11 creation but this means it's a no go. I've tested the same files via Apple Compressor and Avid Media Composer and can create the files perfectly. Our only option with Adobe would be to put all our systems on Media Encoder 2017 which isn't practical.
Hi, Has anyone at Adobe found a solution to this issue yet? Similar to the same issue here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/adobe-media-encoder/adobe-media-encoder-2020-is-not-working-this-project-could-not-be-opened/td-p/11051862?page=1 I can either send a project to Media Encoder from After Effects or attemptto open one via media Encoder. Media Encoder hangs at Dynamic Link server connection and then reports 'This project could not be opened'. This happens on a current project that was working only 7-8 days ago. Running on Windows 10, I have tried swapping back to the old GFX card (GTX 970 mini) from my newly installed Radeon Pro WX5100 but it has absolutely zero effect. I have swapped back to the AMD card and still no change. Creative Cloud is running with all latest updates. Any news when this will be acknowledged and looked into? It seems Media Encoder isn't ever a finished product and historic updates consistently come with bugs and failure
I run Windows 10............. have both Edge and Chrome
I am transcoding a video captured from a DV tape on an avi file (no compression (13G/hour)). The original video plays fine on windows media player, vlc. No matter what options I choose in adobe media encoder, the resulting audio is either distorted (high pitch chipmunk like) or missing. I chose several of the standard profiles with the same result. I cannot transcode this video with vlc either. the result has no audio. I have an old copy of windows movie maker and it is able to produce good quality audio.Anyone have recommendations on what my issue is? Thanks,
Hi, I do not see the profile for "DNxHR/DNxHD MXF OP1a" inside Media Encoder. This should be available as built-in according to:https://helpx.adobe.com/media-encoder/using/file-formats-supported-export.html# Am I missing anything in the system? How to diagnose the issue? I have tried already reinstalling Adobe CC package (Media Encoder, Premiere Pro) without success. Regards,Marcin
Since the latest updates I can't render AE projects via media encoder. It says "could not read from source".I tried sending projects via after effects and trying to import AE projects into Media Encoder and getting the same results. I also saved the project under different name and that didn't work either. I am on an iMac 3.4 ghz, 32gb of memory, High Sierra.
