See the attatched screenshot, I have four renders done directly from After Effects, and four renders that I did through Adobe Media Encoder. The AE renders have a thumbnail that previews the content, but the AME-generated files don't.Bug?
Once I want to export my After Effects composition to Media Encoder, it opens up media encoder, however, it doesn't add it to the queue yet. I have to manually drag it in there. Once i start the queue, it is stuck on "Connection to Dynamic Links server". Any fixes?Edit: Using AE 17.0.5 and AME 14.0.4
Is it possible to use Media Encoder as a YouTube uploader without rendering the video out first? My company runs a tournament series where we have several rounds of footage from each weekend, between 15-30 individual videos. With the new Creator Studio limiting you to one upload at a time, and the Classic Studio being phased out in the near future, we are looking for ways to batch upload these files to save time. Having to render each video before it is uploaded seems like it will end up taking more time overall. I would also like to be able to add things like the titles, descriptions, and tags through a csv file, rather than having to add them manually in Encoder, if that's possible, as this would be the biggest time save out of everything. Any advice or tips?
Hello. When I downloading Media Encorder from Creative Cloud download stoping in 44% three times.

Hello! Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Basically, it does not work anymore. If I send to Encoder from Premiere or AE, it fails to open and comes up with the error message: "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue."If it does open, it just hangs and stays still. This can be 5 seconds in up to 40 seconds in.Does anyone know a fix? I am running a Macbook Pro 16” with 2.4GHz 8-core Intel Core i9 processor, Turbo Boost up to 5.0GHz, 64GB 2666MHz DDR4 memory, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and 1TB SSD storage
Hi I have a i7-4790 CPU with a GTX 1070 and it is taking my system 1 hour to render a 2 minute video, why? The video is imported from AE and is littterally 2:39 long. I have checked and media encoder is barely using my CPU or GPU. I understand rendering can be CPU intensive and I am planning to upgrade in the future but it wouldn't take this long running on a potato.
Media encoder keeps freezing no matter how i try to exports my videos (ive already did a fresh install for both and I dont know what to do)
I'm sending comps from After Effects to Media Encoder usually rendering to either H.264 or a PNG seq. About one in three stop encoding part way through. The UI remains responsive and the item can be paused/resumed but it won't advance any further and the timer stops. When this happens I can stop the render to clear it but all subsequent items already in the queue then refuse to encode and any attempt to send more comps from AE will fail until I restart the computer. I've experienced this issue for about two years right up to the present version of ME (14.0.4) and across quite a variety of setups, from a 12 core Xeon workstation with 64gb RAM down to a Surface Pro 4 with 8GB. I work freelance at different studios with a slew of different hardware and software configurations, so unfiortunately I can't list all the many specs that it's failed on. Several colleagues have reported the same issue and one studio has stopped using ME as a result. Here are some other relevant variable
Hi there,I am working on a fast turn-around project and need to transcode iphone footage through media encoder. I recently updated and every time I press go on the Render Queue - be it for individual clips or a watch folder the programme crashes. See laptop specs below. Not I am on PC and tried converting to DNX and ProRes incase it had something to do with the codec and same thing happens. Please help!!!
Does anyone in this communtiy know how to convert/import MXF files to proxies for Premiere 14.0.4?I believe I have exhausted my efforts and my knowledge base.Is this inherent in Media Encoder?Am I not selecting the correct encode/ingest formats? My iMac is fine, that's not the issue (4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 32 GB 1867 MHz DDR3, AMD Radeon R9 M395X 4 GB) Yes, I am willing to admit this is operator error. 13% of my files would not convert (all MXF), but does Media Encoder 14.0.4 have settings for this request? I tried a third party conversion (MXF to QuickTime via MXF video converter) but the quality was too diminished. Thank you in adavance
Is there an easy way to replace the audio track in a video without having to re-render the whole thing? I have a MP4 that's about a half hour long and I need to replace the audio track in it and I'd like to avoid rendering out the whole thing out if possible.
I don't have a firewall. I have un-installed and re-installed and gotten rid of old files and this STILL does not work. AME is essentially useless out of AE. The very least that should be done is re-establishing the H.264 option in the AE render queue. AME 14.0.4 and AE 17.0.5 Please give me a solution!
I have to make lots of proxies for a project. After transcoding quite a few, Media Encoder stops working and the computer says that it runs out of memory (although it's not true, and there's plenty of memory in the computer -64 Gb). Even when I re-start the computer, Media Encoder does not work anymore. I've tried it in two computers with the same exact result. And in the second computer I was first running ME 2019 and when it run out of memory, I re-started and tried ME 2018 and it immediately run out of memory as well. So, it seems after a while somewhere within ME gets clogged up and re-starting doesn't help to unclog it. I've directed the Media Cache to both the internal drive and different external drives and I've also cleaned the Cache files. I would really appreciate any help, thanks!
Hi, When I create a proxy of a video with Premier Pro, it gives me an error when I open media encoder. While it’s opening, appears the following error: “Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue.” And after that, it closes. But, if I open it separately, it works correctly. I have tried to install a previous version of Media Encoder and now it does not give an error when opening, but when the program is opened, no queued file appears. I don’t know what to do… INFO: macOS Catalina. V10.15.4 Premier Pro 14.0.4Media Encoder 14.0.3 (Files do not appear), 14.0.4 (Error when opening). I need help I cannot continue without creating a proxy… Thank you!
Is there any possibility to streaming from mobile application.andorid or iOS devices.
Hi there, When I export my ae project trough media encoder, it doesn't render the background. Only text layers and other stuff i've made in after effects.some other info:- The background is a jpg-sequence- working on MacOS Catalina 10.15.3- since I've updated to Catalina.. media encoder sucks :') - It (only) works when I export to render queue as lossless first and then import in media encoder, but this is not very efficient.. who can help me?
hi, i need a urgent help.i use after effects and media encoder 2020 on mac, when everytime i try to add my comp to render quqe on media encoder, it is always crash to me/not add to the media encoder. when it is connect to dynmic server its not show the compistion to render, and then media encoder ends unexpectedly (crashing). i dont know what to do because i try all the ways, i talked with adobe assistant and we try to fix the problem but it is always come back. please help me on the comments what can i do.im hope adobe will bring back in the future the h.64 option on ae.
Hi everybody.Recently I learned (thanks to you guys) how to export a video on Media Encoder and very low bitrate. The problem is that the output video has nearly the same bitrate from source, but quality had declined a lot.I can't seem to figure out how to keep the original quality.I'll leave some screenshots: Orginal video: Formatted video: And here's the details from the codec:Original:Format : MPEG-4Format profile : Base Media / Version 2Codec ID : mp42 (isom/mp42)File size : 95.2 MiBDuration : 1 h 4 minOverall bit rate mode : VariableOverall bit rate : 207 kb/sEncoded date : UTC 2019-12-03 23:43:06Tagged date : UTC 2019-12-03 23:43:06VideoID : 1Format : AVCFormat/Info : Advanced Video CodecFormat profile : High@L5Format settings : CABAC / 11 Ref FramesFormat settings, CABAC : YesFormat settings, Reference frames : 11 framesCodec ID : avc1Codec ID/Info : Advanced Video CodingDuration : 1 h 4 minBit rate : 151 kb/sWidth : 1 920 pixelsHeight : 1 080 pixelsDisplay aspect
Hi!I have a recording from ZOOM platform. It's 1:30 hour long, with a size of 95mb.Here's the video details: I added a watermark on After Effects, and now I wanted to export the file, keeping the same size and quality. Here's the Media Encoder settings. Notice the estimated output file size. After encoding, file size is 2GB, with these details: Any clues? The output file didn't respect the size, nor the bit rate. Thanks,
I have tried pausing and unpausing, but with 2 minutes left, it just stopped. I have no idea how to fix it. I already waited an hour and don't want to stop it and try again.
This issue started before the last software update. My exports straight from Premiere were fine but the exports from the queue in Media Encoder came out with the overlaid graphics in the video pixelated. I updated Media Encoder and the issue was resolved. However, when I used Media Encoder to export today, the problem started happening again. I've updated my Macbook Pro to the lastest OS and still no improvement. I'm exporting 4K video to 1080p. Any help much appreciated. Thanks! I recently updated my Adobe After Effects (17.0.5) and Media Encoder (14.0.4) to the latest version and when I try to render my After effects animation in Media encoder I get the following error, before the renderer even starts rendering the video: Export ErrorError compiling movie.Accelerated Renderer ErrorUnable to produce frame. How can I solve this? I tried exporting in different resolutions, save under a different name... If I render the video in Adobe After effects renderer it works fine. Thanks
Hi,I want to encode an image sequence (JPG, 1920x1080, 10.184 frames, 25fps) and an audio file (wav, 48kHz) to an H.264 AAC MP4. No edits, no effects, just encode. So I put it in a timeline in Premiere (2020, 14.0.1 Build 71) and send it to AME (14.0.1 Build 70) with the settings VBR, 1-pass, 6-8 Mbps, Maximum Render Quality on, AAC 48khZ 320 kbps, Renderer Mercury Playback Engine - GPU CUDA.My System: AMD Ryzen 3900X, 64 GB RAM, RTX 2080Ti (Driver 442.19), Win 10 Pro (10.0.18363), image sequence is stored on PCIE4-SSD. I also send the same to FFMpeg with appr. the same bitrate using 1 pass and the quality factor, which is not available in AME. AME needs 14:52.FFMpeg needs 3:22, that is 4.4 times faster! Also the FFMpeg version looks better, with AME I get fractals in noisy areas, which is not the case with FFMpeg. Again, the resulting bitrate is about the same (AME 6200 kbps, FFMpeg 6400 kbps). I have also tried giving AME a little higher bitrate (7 Mbps), still fractals ther
