I'm so f*ing tired... In short, I can't render stuff from AE by choosing 'Add to Media Encoder queue'. I can add to the queue all right, but as soon as I either click the green Play button or click on the preset to edit settings, it's stuck on 'Establishing Dynamic Link Server connection' (or whatever it says), and after a couple minutes of this, it plays a goat-like error sound, and that's that. I have tried EVERYTHING. Every tip or idea or workaround from the forums here or places like Reddit, and NOTHING fixed the issue so far. I'm on the newest version of all CC apps, macOS 10.15.7, I have granted Full Disk Access to Media Encoder, AE, Premiere, AE Rendering Engine and anything else that somehow made sense. Firewall or antivirus are not an issue either. Tried re-installing, resetting preferences... And the worst thing is, this issue goes back at last a year (if not more), so it's neither new nor tied to any recent updates (none of them fixed it, though). I can
since updated, it hasn't worked! doesn't even open, I uninstalled and re-downloaded i did everything what i can. Media Encoder 14.9 crashes on startup.
I have 8mm video tape that I have imported into my computer. It is 480i and I want to convert it to h264 to stream on my 4K TV. Can anyone recommend the best settings? I'm thinking about h264 match settings or h264 match settings progressive?
Make a simple sequence of videos to post on Facebook and Instagram. São 4 takes in MP4, takes one in MOV and Texts. Everyone uses transparency. When I tried to render the problem that I illustrate in the images below. I only succeeded in rendering it correctly when I used another computer (youtu.be/i-msbyC6hH4). Can anyone help me / guide me how to fix this problem?

I am encoding a Premiere Pro sequence in Media Encoder - both are the latest versions. The video is for broadcast TV which is asking for H.264. I'm using Match Source - Adaptive High bitrate. The spec sheet from the TV station also asks for uncompressed audio, 48kHz. Uncompressed doesn't seem to be a choice. Audio format settings are AAC and MPEG. Which one should I choose? If the answer is MPEG, which setting: MPEG, Layer 1 or MPEG-1, Layer 2? I see that within MPEG the bitrate goes to 448 kbps, whereas in AAC it only goes to 320 kbps. Should I go with 448? There are many more audio settings choices within MPEG as well, which I'm unsure about. I'm not seeing any answers within Adobe or the internet at large. Thanks.
Hi there, Please can someone help? I've read through all the threads on here about ME 'Connecting to Dynamic Link Server' issues and I don't think I can see issues the same bespoke issues I am. As per the Subject heading, I'm using the latest version for both (2021: AE 18.0 and ME 15.0) and I also tried installing (2020: AE 17.7 and ME 14.9) for each with no joy either. Macbook Pro '15 2019Processor: 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9Memory: 32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4Graphics: Radeon Pro Vega 20 4 GB Anything anyone can do to help me would me MASSIVELY appreciated. Thank you ever so much in advance.Gary
When exporting from an After Effects project, Media Encoder will quit halfway through the job without any error logs. This started happening after the most recent update. It happens with the H.264 and HEVC (H.265) encoder. Using gpu acceleration makes Media Encoder quit after reading the XML files, and using software only lets the project get about halfway through before crashing. Changing the preset does not change the outcome. Changing the file destination does not change the outcome. Any ideas?PC SpecsGPU: AMD Radeon RX 5700 XTVRAM: 8176 MB Memory: 16GB GDDR6 1750 MHzCPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor - 6 Cores
After the 15.0 update all of my custom presets are gone. I tried to import my backup presets. It says NOT COMPATIBLE. What to do?
Hi All, I have an editing job for which I get mp4 video files from someone that Premiere won't play. Turns out Media Encoder isn't able to convert them to a viewable codec either ("source compression type is not supported"). VLC player does play the files, and is able to convert them to an mp4 version that is playable in Premiere, but since VLC on the Mac has no batch conversion it's not very practical to use that. I've attached a screenshot of the "media information" that VLC is able to show on one of those clips. Maybe someone can tell me why Premiere/Media Encoder can't play/convert them? Any tips on a batch converter that can? Thanks! Harald
Hello, I am having issues with Adobe Media Encoder. I have an AU Pitch effect applied to audio within a nest in Premiere Pro, when I try to export the file through Media Encoder this effect is removed, however when I export through premiere pro I have no issues. I have the most up-to-date version of both of these programs. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both of these programs and I have tried clearing the media cache and the same problem remains. I have a lot of similar videos and want to batch export using Media Encoder, but it has the same problem on all of them, making me have to export them one by one through premiere. What am I doing wrong!
Im trying to export my videos from AE to Media Encoder, but is not working!!!!!!
Media Encoder v 15.0 failing on start up. Dialogue box pops up that states, "Adobe Media Encoder Error Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue." I've tried uninstalling and re-installing and haven't had luck. Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, what were the steps taken to resolve the error?

Hi, At V 15.0 ME I get the follwing error: I'm glad that I found out that in V 14.9 I don't get the error. Does someone why becausesooner or later I have to Update the Me... Thanks! 🙂
for about 6 hours now i'm trying to render this short 10minute long video, but as soon as the render ends (video itself on the preview secreen) the % displays only hits 50% and then it starts a second render of the same video on the same render thingy, excuse me but i'm just having a really hard time making this clear. i'm confused myself but i can't figure out why my video render is looping itself. i didn't enable any looping options in premiere or media encoder. i already rendered a few videos and didn't encounter such issue could it be anything to do with the clip settings or sequence settings? still new to the program. thanks in advance. (using premiere pro exporting/rendering via Media Encoder)
Hi there, I hope someone is able to help me out because I am at the end of my rope with a project I'm working on. I'm editing a short film, around 30 minutes in length, mainly shot in 6K in BRAW format, but mastered at 4K, interspersed with some iPhone footage, Dynamic Link AE comps, and Lumetri color applied to most clips. I know render times aren't going to be great, but I have been unable to finish any export of the whole project no matter what I've tried. The render times will either balloon to days, or fluctuate wildly, but no matter what, exprorting direct from Premiere or through Media Encoder, the export will fail without reason after 30-60 minutes. In the AME Rendering Log, the only reason given is "Queue Stopped", even with no clicking or interactions from me. At a certain point in the project, which changes each time, Media Encoder just suddenly quits with no prompt to send an error report, stop or pause the queue, or anything else. I'm on an Intel i9-9900K, a
Every so often "Connecting to project" and "Reading XMP" take a REALLY long time when rendering AE projects. It happens every couple weeks or so and eventually corrects itself after what seems to be an indescriminate ammount of time. Anyone know what this is related to?
I am using after effects CC 2017 v 14.0.1.5 and can you tell me which Adobe Media Encoder is campatible with this After effects version?

Please fix the problem. When rendering a video in h.264 codec, I set 60 frames, but the output video is 30 frames! I have to render in wmv format and then convert in a third party application. Thanks
I'm using the latest version of Media Encoder. When I bring in a file and click on settings , the window opens up and the picture says Rendering. And then it crashes. It doesn't respond once I click on export settings. I've tried different video files to test it out I keep having the same issue. I've uninstalled and re-installed and it still happens. I didn't have this issue at all with the previous version. So I re-installed the previous version and it's doing the same thing now. I'm on a PC Windows. Anyone else come accros this issue?
When I try to render my project (made in Pr), it always freezes. What happing? Before (a few days ago) everything was okay. There were no problems at all. BUT as I changed one effect on one video, it immediately freezes. shot in prores raw My system - i5-8300 (2.30 GHz), 16GB RAM, 1060 GPU, Windows 10 Pr vers. - 15.0Me vers. - 15.0
