Adobe Media Encoder

I developed a 4 minute video animation with sound in AE, exported it and process it in ME, and get a 0 length video of only the very first screen of the composition. I have tried mp4, mp3, png, and wmv formats. Ideas?

All of my encoding jobs were failing...well, not really failing, just getting stuck and not progressing. Our system has been full-on freezing (everything, including mouse/keyboard input, locks up) when using Media Encoder. I have tried exporting a video multiple times in premiere pro, and the estimated time is :_:_:. Nothing is happening at all except that the time is elapsing. What do i do?It's been five minutes, and it's at 0%. It's never been like this. What do i do?

I am not sure what is going on here. I built this animation at 1920x255 with square pixels. However, when I go to render it with media encoder it adjusts it to 1920x254 and creates a thin black line on each side of the video clip. I have it set to match the source file. I can adjust the height to 255 and it just goes right back to 254. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  

Hi There,  I am trying to export a simple animation I've made in After Effects. When exporting in H.264 its absolutely fine: However, when exporting in Animated Gif format, there is distorted pixels on the left: The distortion does not show up when chosing format, only when it has been completely rendered out. I need these in Gif format, does anyone know how I can fix this please? Any help would be amazing.  Thanks, Abi 

AME is working fine except for a project with a multicam sequence.I removed all the markers as reccomended on this article but it didn't fixed.https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/faq-how-to-solve-encoding-export-stuck-at-0-with-premiere-pro-adobe-media-encoder-14-0-1/td-p/10875118?page=1 I also tried to make a new clean installation of Media Encoder v14.0.1 removing all the preset without success.Desperately need for help because had to make about 500 export from this project.How can i post some error logs eventually?

Hi, I have been using AME since 2016 to encode work projects across the network using watch folders. This creates DVD ready content as well as MP4 renders. This worked solidly untouched from 2016 until the middle of last year when suddenly it became very unstable. We mainly use 2017 (due to Dolby Codecs) & 2018 but when we tried to transfer across to 2019 & 2020 the same issue occurred.There was a very brief window in January following an adobe update where it seemed to become stable again but a windows update that followed put it back into being unstable. The scenario would be that it would be encoding through a queue and then at the point of clicking on the encoder to bring it into focus, this would cause the program to freeze and crash. Restarting the encoder would reimport the queue and then continue as usual but recently this is getting worse and worse to the point where we no try to no longer touch the system whilst it is encoding. Hi there, I'm exporting a graphic from After Effects (only has two colors) lossless.I then bring it into Media Encoder and try to export with h.264 match source - high bitrate.The background color comes out one hex code off.  It can render 556455 or 556453 but not what my client wants 556454.I'm assuming this is because h.264 only has a certain amount of color space to work in.But I just want to make sure i'm not missing something before I tell my client it's not possible. This is a large resolution background video that will play on a webpage.  Thanks for any advice  

To all, I need to convert an Animate animation to an 1280x720 video with a bitrate of 8mbps. It will be used in Limelight. Every time I export to media encoder, no matter the setting I choose the bitrate is not 8mbps. I may be stupid and not understanding. If I use the Adobe Stock HD with audio (20mbps), when published this is the file info I see: data rate at 966kbps and total bitrate of 1283kbps. I need it to be 8000kbs. What am I doing wrong?thanksDawn 

I have the same problem on two different computers. One is macOS 10.13.6 and the other is Windows 10 1909. I have intermittant success importing a comp into AME but when I am successful, AME will hang when I attempt to adjust the render settings or initiate a render. It typically locks up when "Reading XMP" - the rest of the time the comps never show up in AME and AME becomes unresponsive. I have tried all of the following recomendations found in this forum:Created a new userCleared preferences & cacheRenamed the "dynamiclinkmediaserver" folder to "dynamiclinkmediaserver_old"Checked that all languages are identicalImported AE comp into Premiere and then went back and tried AE/AMESent a comp to render inside AE, then queued it over to AME from inside the AE render windowForced quit the AdobeIPCBroker processQueued a comp to render out to AME and cmd+tab back and forth between AE/AMERebuilt the project from scratchDeleted all media markersLogged out of my acount from inside AE t

Since update to OS Catalina 10.15.3  Media Encoder doesn't open up. I tried uninstall, re-install, re-boot.Also tried to go back in versions but still "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue" I don't know what else to try. 

Hey there,lately I wanted to encode some proxies for an editing project, but I won't work. After a little bit of research, I found out, that Media Encoder won't schedule any files. I tried drag and drop into the ME window, load source etc. I tried different mp4 and mov that all play back on both Movies & TV and VLC. I uninstalled Blackmagic's Davinci Resolve and tried to reinstall ME and Premiere Pro several times. I even tried ME v 14.0.1, but it won't work either. There's always this error message and I don't know what to do.I use ME v 14.0.3 and the same Premiere version.I'm on Windows 10 x64If you need any further information please let me know.Thanks in advance,Maurice

Hi, I've needed to use AME to export a sequence and recently updated Premiere and AME to 14.0.3, the latest build. When I click "Queue" in the export screen, it says that AME isn't installed, but it is and their build number is the same.  I did recently re-install Creative Cloud's app since it disappeared from my computer but I was able to get everything updated yet am still running into this. Anyone encounter this? I've seen similar requests but nothing that's really clicked

Hi! I have a bunch of files digitized from PAL Anamorphic digibeta tapes so the picture is squooshed. I need to unsquoosh it.  I found helpful directions online BUT when I use Media Encoder to convert the files to progressive and expand them, for some reason it keeps setting the display ratio to 1.85 instead of 1.78 and I do not have enough technical understanding to know why or how to fix that. I tried setting it to "custom" and entering in 16:9 manually but then I wind up with a file that displays as 2.23 (super stretched).  These are the settings I'm using:Format = quicktimeVideo Codec = Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)Field Order = ProgressiveAspect = PAL widescreen720x576 Thanks!

I've done research here about ways to export WMV. It appears that bootcamp is the best option - I don't want to deal with that.  Also, most posts are outdated so I figured maybe there was a new solution. Does anyone have a workaround for exporting .WMV files?  To your knowledge, is this more popular in Japan?!  Is there a file format that will accomplish the same thing as .WMV that I can export (I know this is maybe a situational question)? Thanks, Rob

Hello! I'm rendering a project from After Effects using Media Encoder and whenever I try to export it, it replaces one clip with broadcast colors. The audio is also cut off during this. I used Export > Add to Adobe Media Encoder queue and am rendering on H.264, 720p.

Hey everyone, I've gone over every single setting i can find and can't figure out the issue here.Every time I try to export my project built in aftereffects as a prores file the levels get blown out, highlights are much brighter. I've included a screenshot of two seperate exports, one as a mp4 and one as a prores .mov so you can see the difference. There are no additional LUT or color settings clicked on as far as I can tell.  Im pulling my hair out over here. 

I reinstalled, restarted my computer, cleaned out my computer, tried everything but keep getting this message. I can use the application on my colleges computers but not my mac. I need to use this for my media art assignments.

I'm on the 2020 version and can use my RTX 2070 just fine in after effects, but am locked to software encoding in adobe media encoder. I have added my card to the raytracer list in after effects and created a cuda_supported_cards.txt file in premiere, am I supposed to do something in Media encoder? The project setting has GPU enabled, but no matter what media encoder stick to software encoding and is so much slower than rendering straight out of after effects.   [Moving from generic Start/Help forum to the specific Program forum... Hey,  can someone tell me which hardwre encoder I can but to speed up the media encoder? It does not use the GPU, so I was wondering if there is some hardware that the app is responding to.  nice to hear from someone even if there is no answere to the question.  And by the way:  If not, can we open the app for a feature? It would get us all some more sleep and peace for our families. 😉 thanxsPeter
