Hi there,I installed Media Encoder CC 2018 and I tried to load it but it kept crashing. I tried to reinstall AME CC 2017 but there's no option for it in the CC app (plus I was previously receiving "Adobe Media Core has stopped working" messages). Is there something I am missing that's preventing AME from launching?
When sent to the queue for rendering in Media Encoder CC 2018 from After Effects CC 2018, the Media Encoder CC 2018 initializes the files for a long time and the render takes two times longer than in After Effects CC 2018. Why is this happening? With Premiere Pro CC 2018, there are no such problems.
Hi, everyoneAfter many successful conversions from various formats (usually to MP4-HDs), the past 2 days have seen the app generating files that are out of sync between video and audio. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Is there a way to clear the prefs, and would that work? Thanks for your help!
Good eveningI am having the following error message 'Adobe media encoder cannot access the preference folder'This is because it has defaulted to a location I don't have location to.How can I set within the application/regedit a different location for my preference folder.Current location is C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder\ Can I change this to a different drive or location?[Here is the list of all Adobe forums... https://forums.adobe.com/welcome][Moved from generic Creative Suites forum to specific Program forum... Hello, I am trying to export from Premiere Pro CC to an mxf file (XD Cam 4:2:2), 50Mbit 2997i, but the only available option for audio is 'uncompressed' and my specs require MPEG audio @768kbps. What I do is I select MXF OP1a as format and XD CAM HD50 NTSC 60i as preset. Is there another format/preset that can do the task? Thanks!
I notice that the GPU isn't being used when the CUDA renderer option is used (but is being used in AFX). I have tried all the Quadro K2200 driver updates (OEM and nwe features) and a complete clean install (with no effect). OS is Win 7 Pro. Any ideas?
I am attempting to encode a UHD-29.97P HEVC file with .mp4 wrapper. Source is a UHD-29.97P Quicktime ProRes422HQ file. Time code in the first frame of the source file is 00;59;59;29, and that time code needs to carry across to the target HEVC file. Regardless of whether I check or uncheck the Set Start Timecode box, the target HEVC file has NDF time code that starts at 00:00:00:00. This is causing our encodes to be rejected by the customer. How do I get AME to pass the correct time code from the source to the target file?I have a sample HEVC encode supplied by the customer that has the correct time code embedded in the file, so this is possible.Thank you.

Just recently installed the newest CC versions of Premiere, After Effects, etc. on my new mac. AME is not in the list of programs available to install. Where did it go?
The new upgrade doesn't convert anymore the file shot with my old camera Sony HZ1 HDV 1080/50i 1440x1080. Thank you Media Encoder!

Cuando intento trabajar con arxivos mxf 4k, importo los archivos a premiere y el ordenador al cabo de pocos segundos se reinicia, no soporta los archivos, porque cuando trabajo en fullHD no tengo problemas
When outputting to the Media Encoder SS 2018 from After Effects CC 2018, the Media Encoder SS 2018 loads files for a very long time and the render takes place twice as long. With the connection to Premiere Pro CC 2018, there are no such problems. Why is this happening. Sorry this is machine translation.@
Hello,Adobe AME is fully installed and I am able to use it successfully standalone, but the Dynamic Link is not working from Adobe Premiere Pro, nor am I able to use the 'Proxies' feature, which I want to use to edit some 4k video in a 720p proxy. What can be wrong with the installation? Thank you in advance for help to solve the dynamic link and the proxy issues.I have a Windows 10 OS installation. AME is v.12.0 (build 202) and it is a CC 2018 installation. Premiere Pro is CC 2017.1.1 release 11.1.1 (15 build).
Hello, I've exported a 90 minute video that contains chapter markers and they export to a ProRes sub master just fine, but when I convert to a h.264 file for delivery, the markers don't show up.Does anyone have a recommendation for an alternate file format that is as efficient as the h.264 that supports markers, or is there a way to get my markers to show up. I got my file down to a manageable 5 gigs, but when I tried the HDV setting which does support the markers, I can't get the file smaller than 15 gigs. There must be a solution. Thank you in advance for your help.Dan
Im trying to export a sequence with only graphics, credits and so on. Im asked to export with the following settings: QuickTime, ProRes 4444, Render at maximum depth: 16-bpc + alpha. At my friends mac this worked perfectly. But on my mac scroller-menu under Render at maximum Depth is simply different. I can choose between 24,32,48,6 bits, but I dont get the 16-bpc + alpha option. Anyone?A
Hello! The 2018 AME update seems to have changed a setting somewhere that I can't isolate... When I export a file from After Effects to AME, it will render just fine. But if I have a change in the After Effects file (which is very, very common) and send the revised version to AME, it will render the original version rather than the revised version. If I restart AME it will render the revised file with no problems, so I assume there's a cached file somewhere that gets deleted when AME restarts... This isn't a huge issue, just a bit of an annoyance as I find myself restarting AME eight or ten times a day. Does anyone know if there's a setting somewhere I might change to avoid this? (I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered, but I couldn't find this particular issue in the forum anywhere even though I swear I've tripped over this problem in the past.) Thank you!
I have a ten minute sequence that I tried to export from PP2018 via AME. I got a font missing errror message, and the sequence renders with the second line of all of my two-line lower thirds missing. However, the font AME reports missing is not the font that is in the lower thirds, andThe lower third font is present on my system, previews on my timeline, andThe sequence exports correctly when using the "Export" button rather that using "Queue" to start AMEAnd,The font that is reported missing is a corrupted text string that is a garbled name of a font that is used in other titles in the sequenceThe corrupted string is "Aloveofthunderder". The correct font is "A Love of Thunder" (or "Aloveofthunder")When opening the project, "Aloveofthunderder" is also listed as a missing font, but since it is a corrupted name and not a real missing font, there is no way to correct the error message. This behavior has not changed between PP2017 and PP2018.This project file is fairly complex, with thousan
AME IS EXPORTING USING GPU - till now it's only joke if You use Adobe products.Hey ADOBE !!!!Sony VEGAS, FInalCUT X already for long time can use Intel QuickSync or NVENC for video exporting. When - ultra professiona AME will start encode using NVENC or Intel QuickSynq ????I'm pretty sure that all af Adobe clients are waiting for this important step !!!So dear developpers, please tell us - when it will come alive ?PS: Yes i know that Adobe use GPU when exporting project uses GPU accelerated effects, but what with simply video encoding ?It is looks so stupid that my friend exporting 130 min video on Sony Vegas for 12 min on Intel core i5 and i'm with i7 with GTX1070 and great Adobe products have to export the same things for 100 min So may be it's time to implement GPU in encoding ???
Hi all,I have a bunch of old audio files of lectures that I need to send out for transcription, but the company is requiring visual timecode on the file itself. So, I figure that's easy enough to do in Media Encoder by checking the box for Timecode Overlay in the export setting. It shows that it will apply in the Output window when I'm adjusting the effect, but when I do the export, I get black video over the audio but no timecode overlaid. Is there some checkbox I'm missing that will make this effect stick, or since there's no video am I not able to use this effect?EDIT: This is weird, but a decent workaround (hoping for an actual answer). When I take the output file from the first attempt at adding timecode, and then run it through the exact settings again, it seems to work. I wonder if it has anything to do with there not being any video to attach it to in the first export.
Is my computer too outdated for this upgrade? Suggestion 1: let me know that before I download the "update" because right now nothing is working. Suggestion 2: Do your product testing on a different audience than your paying customers. This is garbage.MacOs Sierra Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro12,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i7 Processor Speed: 3.1 GHz Number of Processors: 1
Hello!I have AME 2017.1. For some reason, it will not start the queue at all no matter what input file, export setting, or export location I am using. Essentially, I press the green play button, and then nothing. All my items just say "Ready" and never actually encode. I have tried turning my SLI on and off, re-installing AME, blowing away AME settings, turning off all other programs, nothing. Am I missing something here? I'm on Windows 10, I have two GTX 1080 TIs, i7-5930K Intel CPU. I was definitely able to transcode is previous versions of AME. What's going on?
Hello, with the new CC update, it is no longer possible for us to choose a Media Encoder Version, like it is still possible with After Effects and others Programms. If you download AE 2015, Media Encoder 2015 does not download.Does someone know, how we could download the Media Encoder 2015 Version? Thanks & greetingsAdrian
Hello,I'm sure this is an often debated question ... Although, I could not find an answer in the discussion thread. I made a character in Character Animator with a white background and then exported it to Media Encoder. The background is black and I don't see any options to modify this. The only setting change I came across was the Render Alpha Only which changed my character from a Rottweiler puppy to a white image. Does media encoder allow for background changes and if so, what are the steps? Thanks so much
