How to solve the export video when prompted error: Frame dimension not supported. Please check that both width/height valuse are within limits.
Hi,I am looking for some IVTC settings to reverse telecine a film, I've tried the simple solution of changing the frame rate from 29.97 to 23.976, but am still getting duplicate frames and dropping good frames. Is there anyone who has good experience in Media Encoder that could shed some light on some settings to properly IVTC?Thanks,Matt
I sent a client a 30-minute video I produced in Premiere/Adobe Media Encoder and it does not play. Client tried it in Windows Media Player and VLC Player on a Windows 10 computer. I used the Windows Media Player codec HD 1080p 29.97 preset. Video plays perfectly on my computer, but not on my client's computer. I have also had similar issues in the past when using the H.264 output preset. Seems no matter what I do, my videos will not play on my customer's PC or Mac.I need to know what is the preferred output when making videos to be played on a computer. Is there not a universal format that will play reliably?
Hi-I am working with 2K source material which is 10bit linear DPX, and am looking to export back out to the same color space.I have made a pretty careful study of the DPX export settings. Is there any way to know if my export is linear or log? Or to specify it in AME? MediaInfo confirms that the source material is indeed linear. When I inspect the 10bit DPX output file with MediaInfo, it doesn't say either way (linear or log), and would like to have some confirmation that I am hitting my customer's spec.Thanks-- John
Hi there,I will highly appreciate if somebody can give an answer of my issue. I have a Trapcode composition in HD which contains some audio-reactive visuals and a grunge background. I have created this in 30 and 60 fps and export as PNG sequence and Quicktime MOV.When I tried to encode it for Vimeo or with just a Custom H.264 preset I received a very weird result. The first one second of the video is fine but after that I have a mass drop in quality so everything goes pixelated. I tried to change the bitrate and level and set them to the highest values. Than I received an excellent quality in approximately 9 GB. No chance to upload anywhere.I have the same issue on 2 different machines. Still cannot figure out the problem. I see that it is something about the bitrate but how can I get the good quality in a smaller file size.Thank you in advance!Anna
Dear all Tech Boffs and Problem solvers collective,I have a curious question on; when I import a Premiere Pro CC sequence into Media Encoder, which has more than 2 channels of audio. It fails to export. This works fine when i export from Premiere directly. However the opposite when done in ME.What i'm trying to export is a ProRes 4444 with 6 channel stereo output via Media Encoder, using a Premiere Pro sequence of an edit.I have done experiments with 2 channels of audio, which has been absolutely fine.I did a quick test whereby i tried it with picture and audio selected (Which failed) than without audio (Which worked). Thus the conclusion has to be audio output conflict!I have also gone into forums which suggested other options, which didn't work either. We work on a Mac, so Nvidia firmware updates are not the issue as we use ATI graphics card and Black-magic video card. This was the error message that is getting logged below. However it has been discussed that its a generic message rather
HiI'm new to Adobe Media Encoder, and have been getting great results with the free Wraptor DCP plug-in.Video is exported from Avid MC as PRoRes HQ with video levels [64-960].Black backgrounds to titles look a bit washed out on our DCPs, so I'm wondering if I need to scale to dat levels on export for Wraptor? This is not necessary for mp4, mov etc as all the Mac players [VLC, QT, Mpeg streamclip] automatically scale to data levels. Thanks for any advice or infoNigel
is it possible to created animated gifs from After effects to Adobe Media Encoder CC2017?I don't see the option in the menu. I saw a tutorial on YouTube that shows the option, but that looks like an older version.
I've been using Premier Pro CC and Media encoder for several years Today suddenly I started getting a media off line message after exporting from PP to ME. The video is fine in PP but somehow it's showing up as off line in ME I've used this same video codec for years as well so I have no clue why the images and audio are not going to ME. I've tried reimporting the video into PP and also reimporting the video into the computer as well as starting a new PP project. It's driving me crazy.ThanksTed
New to AME so please pardon the question , how do I delete files from media encoder ?Thanks
Hi, When setting up an FTP publish in a watchfolder I hit "Test" and then AME creates the following error:If I use the same credentials on FileZilla I don't get access issues.Any ideas please?
It would appear that Media Encoder is now applying a pretty aggressive black level shift to all footage rendered. If I render to TIFF from After Effects from a 32 bit composition it looks perfect. If I just send to Media Encoder and look at the preview, the preview "Source" and "Output" both are much much darker. Anyone else seeing this?Simple solution, I think to myself, I'll just render out an uncompressed Animation Quicktime and load that into media encoder. Same thing. Big black level shift. Has ME 2017 broken color consistency?
I have been trying to convert some small AVI files and cannot get audio to export.I have tried every codec, every setting combo, even every video format with zero success.I am on a Win7 64 bit machine:Intel Xenon Quad core processor16GB RAMNVIDIA High Def Audio card (drivers are up to date)Any thoughts, help, tips, recommended Sound Cards, whatever it takes, this is frustrating to the nth degree.I can do these conversions in Windows Movie Make just fine but there is no batch option (that I'm aware of) and Media Encoder used to handle these flawlessly.Help. Please!
Hi there,I'm editing 30 half hour or longer presentations and I want to find the quickest workflow for this...what would anyone suggest as the quickest/easiest way to export these? The last export was a custom one at:h.2641080p10,000 bitrateAnd it took absolutely forever... 6 hours plus in encoder. In FCPx there's a 'native' setting for exports (which although produces large files can then be batch transcoded in handbrake or similar) which is pretty fast to export. Is there something like this I could use on Premiere? Thanks!Jack
I have a specific client request to export an opening logo animation at 15,360 x 8,640. Although I cannot imagine 15k would show a difference to the naked eye when compared to 5k or even 8k, (which will in the end depend upon the projector they are using which I do not have the specs on) the client requested this format because it is being projected at an event. It appears as thought AME on all the codecs including QuickTime Animation, QuickTime Uncompressed, and a few others do not allow the Height of the frame to exceed 8,192 pixels. Odd as the maximum Width of the frame can go all the way up until 30,000 pixels!Ae rendering saves the day once again and allows me to export at the 15,360 x 8,640 which the client requested, but I am curious if anyone has encountered a work around when exporting large format files or if there is a spec sheet somewhere detailing the maximum frame size for various AME codecs? Thanks,Chris
Hi, I have come back to editing with Avid Media Composer after a break of some years and I am having a few issues importing material. I would like to encode my footage from MP4 to MXF op1a which Avid should accept. I am using the pre-set DNxHD for NLEs which looks like it uses the MXF container but I can't get Avid to recognise the files. I am using the most up to date version of Avid and Media Encoder. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, I've a problem with AME on my new MBP, I'm trying to encode a mkv file into mp4 to reduce dimension, but it takes infinite time. And generally everything seems to be very slow, like adding a new file to encode, AME freezes for a couple of minutes to add the file and this never happened with my old 2010 MBP!! The file I'm working on it's 1920x1080 at 25fps and my specs are:i7 3,3 GHz with 16 GB ramwith an integrated GPU Intel Iris Graphics 550I've Sierra and CC 2017 Upgraded at the last update.
It has been 3 days and I still got no answer so I figure I'd make another post.(Is there a phone costumer services?)I try to export my video in adobe premiere pro, 1280X720. In PNG, quick time, or H.264 but they all act the same: When I click ''add to queue'' adobe media encorder start (Everything is supposed to be fine) but when I start the queue nothing happen. Is like the program crash each time. been restarting computer, saving in other folder. Nothing work. I just updated to MaxOs Sierra. It worked before.I have AME CS5.5Please Help.Please.
To be specific I exported roughly 17 clips from AE before I realized that I didn't title the AE file or save it. I caught my mistake and continued encoding 4 more videos. That was yesterday. Today I opened my project folder and the first 17 MP4s are missing. Opened AME so I could see the file path to the files I encoded and there is no history of them in the queue. I checked the logs and the encoded files are listed in the log, but when I go to the path - it is empty.I have search my entire computer and there is no files. Is this to say that an entires day worth of work is missing? Can these files be recovered?Help!?-Jason
I have a 6 second long After Effects animation that I am trying to encode in Media Encoder, but its estimated time shoots up to anything from an hour and a half to 3 hours. I have all of my programs optimized to utilize the most RAM, and my animation dimensions fit the "Youtube 1080p HD" setting I have for the encoding. I have tried encoding this animation on multiple computers with varying amounts of ram (8-16GB) and all give me a ridiculously long encoding time. I have people around me encoding their 30 second animations on the same machines and it takes them a matter of minutes to encode. What could I possibly be doing wrong to cause such a ridiculous encoding time? Is there such thing as using too many effects in my animation to the point where it is no longer worth encoding into video? It just doesn't add up. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I had a Premiere project with a hashtag symbol in the name, as in #MyProject.prproj. Everything was fine during Premiere editing, but when I queued the project to AME, while AME was able to begin encoding, I immediately saw the footage offline image in AME's encoding preview (shown during encoding). I did not root-cause this to be caused by use of # but when I removed it, renaming the project to MyProject.prproj, AME worked fine. I therefore assume something went awry due to use of the # in the file name. FYI and I will file a bug. Would like to know if someone knows anything on this. Thanks!
