Adobe Media Encoder

Hi, i am rendering an after effects project, using 3d layers (3d rotations), lights(ambient lights), and cameras (moving cameras)exporting it to adobe media encorders takes about 2 hours for 00:01:15i have this specsi6700k32gb ddr4 nvidia gtx970now i have 2 questions1) is it normal that media encoder is using only 10% of my cpu? does it mean video is rendered by gpu?2) what do you suggest to speed up process? for example rendering in after effects as animation, than use media encoder to convert, would be faster? and, using just ambient lights, would benefit to deactivate them? aesthetics differences with or without ambient light are very little, having them could be good, but if it cuts rendering times by a lot, i could deactivate them in production didn't seem a so heavy project, had not problems with real time previewthx a lot for answers, and sorry for not so good english

I just spent HOURS making my first AE animation, but now the Adobe Media Encoder isn't creating the video correctly I don't know how to screen record, but the AE preview animation looks something like this: (White background, the fore head opens, the words go in the head) I used an aspect ratio of 16:9 with preset HDTV 1080 29.97, white backgroundI useAfter I use AME, the video looks like this: (black background, can't see words)Tried multiple settings; 'Match source - High Bitrate, Youtube 720p HDWhat can I do to better this? Hello all.I have searched in vain for the answer so please forgive me if it is blindingly obvious.For some reason ProRes 422 HQ does not show up as an option when I'm using Media Encoder. I see the other ProRes options but not this one. It's strange because it is available to me in After Effects and in Final Cut Pro. Anyone know how I can fix this or if I'm doing something wrong.I'm using the CS6 version.Many thanksAdrian S

Is there some new setting in After effects 2017 to embed a save location? I was using AE/AME 2014 with watch folders successfully until I tried to upgrade to 2017. Now when I place a project file in the watch folder I get a failure because the encoder is trying to add extra file path on top of what I specify in the watch folder.For example with AME 2014:watch folder - D:/output/videoTemplate/watch folder output location I chose - D:/renders/Works fine and renders go to D:/renders/But with AME 2017:watch folder - D:/output/videoTemplate/watch folder output location I chose - D:/renders/I get failed error because AME is trying to send to D:/renders/output/videoTemplate/ which doesn't exist. Obviously the file contains the original save location somewhere in the metadata and is trying to insert it automatically. Even if I use a different watch folder or output it still tries to add /output/videoTemplate/ which means this path must be saved within the project file somewhere. How do I disab

Hello,Has anyone experienced a gamma shift like this? Please see attached.Both renders are using the same settings. The left render is from Encoder and the right is from Premiere.The render on the right is accurate.These were made using CC 2017 Windows 7.

I have ben trying to export a video from Premiere Pro as well as with Media Encoder.In both instances I get a message from Windowstelling me that the software as stopped working and my only option is to close the program.I need to export this video! Help please.(this system has worked well for a year I dont know why it just started to do this.)

Hi there,I've just moved over from Mac to PC and I'm just getting to grips with what I can and can't export from Encoder. Understand ProRes isn't really an option, is this the same for PhotoJpeg? is this a result of the whole QuickTime security issue? Seems Mpeg streamclip wants you to install Quicktime, is anyone still using Quicktime but with only a few 'safe' features enabled?ThanksChris

My goal is to transcode an Uncompressed 8-bit YCrCb QT (525i29.97) LOSSLESSLY, to JPEG 200 MXF OP1a and/or JPEG 2000 QuickTime, but there are a few specs about these codecs that I cannot find information on. For JPEG 2000 MXF OP1a:1. What do "Broadcast Profile" and "Tiling" settings do? Default profile is Level 5 and Tiling default is "Single". If settings are left on default, will this still produce a lossless transcode? 2. Is there any way to maintain field order of an interlaced source on this codec? (Codec automatically selects progressive output even though it shows my source is interlaced, and the option to change this setting is grayed out.)3. Are there any settings that specifically ensure output will be lossless? For QuickTime JPEG 2000: 1. If Quality setting is set to 100, does that necessarily mean output will be lossless? Thanks!

I happen to have two Vimeo accounts i manage. I connected one Vimeo account to AME. But now I want to upload to my other account. But not matter what it keeps asking me to authorise the first account. Never giving me the option to login to the second account. I logged in and out on AME and nothing. I even logged out on Safari and cleared history and nothing. If I try to logout or go to any link on the browser window that pops up on AME it says  "error": "The requested page could not be found".Does anybody have any ideas how i can clear this for i can log in to another account? thank you

I will set up a bunch of videos to encode for archiving purposes. Everything will complete without any errors, but when I go and check the converted clips, some are showing as ZERO BYTES. The queue list shows it completed the process but the new clip doesn't have any data associated with that. What seems to be the issues? Am I converting too many files at once?

I have five seconds left for a video to render and it's had the spinning color wheel and not responding for the last two hours. What should I do? The video is over 8 hours long and it took 70 hours to reach this point.

As per the title. Media Encoder 2016 onwards appears to have dropped the DNxHD85 codec option. We use this as part of a workflow so we cannot update beyond the 2015 release.Adobe, are you aware this has been dropped? and if so can this be put back in, in the next release?

I am trying to encode an mp4/h.264 of a slowly changing gradient background with text overlays (generated in AE). With a 2min clip, 3840x1620px, encoder set to CBR 120Mbps, AME says it will produce a file about 1.7GB, it actually produces a file of 92.6MB that is riddled with banding and compression artefacts.This is an example source frame. I've tried encoding directly from the AE composition or exporting a tiff sequence from AE and encoding that. I've tried a variety of VBR/CBR and bit rate settings. All with no change. It comes out as 92.6MB whatever I do.

Hi folks,Hoping somebody can help me out with this problem.My team here has recently completed this project and now I am doing the DVD, so i export the project from Premiere (which includes linked compositions from After Effects) as an MPEG2-DVD, as I find this gives me the best quality DVD image.The problem, one of the After Effects compositions "warps" when I export it this way. (ie: the super looks like it is corrupt. The rest f the image on the screen looks just fine.) It works just fine in the timeline, and in the master version (H264). It just doesn't seem to like this MPEG2-DVD export. It only does this with the one comp (out of many), so logically it must be a problem with the comp itself.Has anyone had this problem before, or have any ideas as to how we might go about fixing it?Cheers folks!Daniel

I want to render a Video that is 1 photo over music i created as a 1080p video for Youtube. At the moment it takes 35 Minutes to render a 9 minute video with the Media Encoder Youtube 1080p settings. There has to be a faster way. Any ideas?

Hello,I'm working on a project rendering proxies daily for two years. We updated the media encoder to be able to render the 100 fps images together with te 25 and 50 fps images. Now it turns out that media encoder 2017 takes a different file name from the source with the 100 fps images. Where it is supposed to say 830HO0RQ it wil use the full source name L220_C074_170107_J40D_M_830HO0RQ from the P2 metadata. Is there a way to export the 100fps files with the same type of name as with the rest of the files?Thanks!

So my media encoder randomly stopped rendering my videos, except for when it is open in AE and PR. I have to get through a ton of these product review videos and i need to able to work on the next batch of videos while the ones i have done render out in Media Encoder. I have been able to work like this for quite sometime and now randomly my videos (the premiere video part of it, all the stuff i set up in AE still shows fine) are rendered out with the red "Media offline" screen. I'm using dynamic to link my premier>aftereffects>media encoder.

I have exported several sets of media as a Wraptor DCP. We have three projectors. Two are a Christie Solaria One and the third is a Christie CP2220. When we tried to use the content management system to load the .dcp file, we were able to ingest it in - however, upon ingestion it is read as a feature and we are not able to schedule in the same manner as other advertisements and trailers. So, we loaded them directly onto the projectors themselves. This worked great for the Solaria One machines. It is a little bit more time consuming, but it works for now. When we attempted to load it onto the Christie CP2220, upon playback we would only hear audio and then it would cut the feed off. From talking with our cinema director, I'm back to trying to figure out how to get the files to ingest as an advertisement or trailer into the content management system. I've seen a few other forums, however, none have had an answer so far. Help? I've sent off a message to QuVIS based upon a couple of answer

Hi guys,Got a question about the After Effects - Media Encoder workflow. Whenever I send a comp from After Effects to Media Encoder I always have to double check the downsample setting. Hi,I started to use Cineform codec on my windows machine when I need to send clips with alpha channel to an editor that is on Osx.Before we had a fully ProRes workflow.I am pretty happy with the results and files works smoothly on both workstations, windows and osx.Only today I noticed something weird in the file sizes:5 Second clip from after effects to AME (using the new "queue in AME" from render panel) in Cineform 12bit - no alpha:quality 4 > resulting file is ~700MBquality 3 > resulting file is ~620MBquality 2 > resulting file is ~330MBTried on my osx workstation to export same file (same workflow) in prores422 and it was 73mb, same quality side to side compared with the Cineform export.Is normal that Cineform results in 10x bigger files?Can something be wrong in my workflow?Thanks.

Hola.En Adobe Encoder, al pasar una película de DVD con varios idiomas a mp4, uniendo los vob de la carpeta video_ts, no sé cómo elegir el idioma español, y acaba saliendo una mezcla de idiomas o solo en inglés.Por ejemplo, una primera parte en inglés y el resto en español.El mp4 en sí está bien formado y de una calidad aceptable, pero no resulta útil por lo dicho.He probado todo lo que se me ha ocurrido, pero en las opciones de audio solo es posible elegir entre: mono, estéreo y 5.1.En fin, si alguien conoce alguna solución y la comparte le estaré agradecido.

I need to encode content for DRM testing on a variety of servers, however I need to take my content and drop it into multi bitrate containers such as MPEG DASH or Apple HLS.Is this possible in the current set of CC tools or do I have to look elsewhere?Many thanks.

I design power rings for stadiums (the video boards that go around the inside of rinks). I've done several of these before with no issues. Today, however, I'm encountering a huge problem. The screen size is 19648pxx 40px. I was able to export out the .MOV file from AE with no problems - but I need to convert it to H.264 as the specs require. The problem is Media Encoder crashes when I try to import the file. I've done power rings much bigger than this with no problems. The AE file is just a modified version of the ones I've done previously, so that isn't an issue. I've even tried to split the ring in half, but the encoder doesn't want to Match Source (please see screenshot). Does anyone have any advice to offer on why suddenly this is happening. I've done well over 20 of these for various locations and not once have I encountered this problem. Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance.
