AME IS EXPORTING USING GPU - till now it's only joke if You use Adobe products.Hey ADOBE !!!!Sony VEGAS, FInalCUT X already for long time can use Intel QuickSync or NVENC for video exporting. When - ultra professiona AME will start encode using NVENC or Intel QuickSynq ????I'm pretty sure that all af Adobe clients are waiting for this important step !!!So dear developpers, please tell us - when it will come alive ?PS: Yes i know that Adobe use GPU when exporting project uses GPU accelerated effects, but what with simply video encoding ?It is looks so stupid that my friend exporting 130 min video on Sony Vegas for 12 min on Intel core i5 and i'm with i7 with GTX1070 and great Adobe products have to export the same things for 100 min So may be it's time to implement GPU in encoding ???
Hi all,I have a bunch of old audio files of lectures that I need to send out for transcription, but the company is requiring visual timecode on the file itself. So, I figure that's easy enough to do in Media Encoder by checking the box for Timecode Overlay in the export setting. It shows that it will apply in the Output window when I'm adjusting the effect, but when I do the export, I get black video over the audio but no timecode overlaid. Is there some checkbox I'm missing that will make this effect stick, or since there's no video am I not able to use this effect?EDIT: This is weird, but a decent workaround (hoping for an actual answer). When I take the output file from the first attempt at adding timecode, and then run it through the exact settings again, it seems to work. I wonder if it has anything to do with there not being any video to attach it to in the first export.
Is my computer too outdated for this upgrade? Suggestion 1: let me know that before I download the "update" because right now nothing is working. Suggestion 2: Do your product testing on a different audience than your paying customers. This is garbage.MacOs Sierra Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro12,1 Processor Name: Intel Core i7 Processor Speed: 3.1 GHz Number of Processors: 1
Hello!I have AME 2017.1. For some reason, it will not start the queue at all no matter what input file, export setting, or export location I am using. Essentially, I press the green play button, and then nothing. All my items just say "Ready" and never actually encode. I have tried turning my SLI on and off, re-installing AME, blowing away AME settings, turning off all other programs, nothing. Am I missing something here? I'm on Windows 10, I have two GTX 1080 TIs, i7-5930K Intel CPU. I was definitely able to transcode is previous versions of AME. What's going on?
Hello, with the new CC update, it is no longer possible for us to choose a Media Encoder Version, like it is still possible with After Effects and others Programms. If you download AE 2015, Media Encoder 2015 does not download.Does someone know, how we could download the Media Encoder 2015 Version? Thanks & greetingsAdrian
Hello,I'm sure this is an often debated question ... Although, I could not find an answer in the discussion thread. I made a character in Character Animator with a white background and then exported it to Media Encoder. The background is black and I don't see any options to modify this. The only setting change I came across was the Render Alpha Only which changed my character from a Rottweiler puppy to a white image. Does media encoder allow for background changes and if so, what are the steps? Thanks so much
Hey,I've had several crashes trying to encode a DCP using AME. AME seems to Randomly stop encoding and hangs.I've had this problem since I've used the feature. Doesn't matter which machine (I've tried 3), which version of GPU I use (tried Open CL & Metal on Mac). Whats weird is, sometimes it works perfectly first time.I've upgraded, reinstalled, recreated the preset from scratch etc.
I got this issue about a week ago. I've downloaded the 2018 CC but it is still there. When I queue a project Media Encoder opens but doesn't render. So I have to render each file separately. I saw this question with products of previous years but didn't find a solution. Thank you!
Hi, EveryoneI have a blu ray from which I need to extact a clip, and I cannot seem to successfully rip the disc. Its files are M2Ts, and when I try to import it into PP, there is no sound track. Trying to convert the disc using Media Encoder fails. Ideas?
Dear Adobe,Recently we change our editing facility from Mac based (FCP) to Windows based (Adobe Cloud). Some (not all) of our master files cause Media Encoder and Premiere Pro to unexpectedly stop working. We are wondering if you can help us to understand why is that happening and to help us to prevent such a troubleshoots in the future. Our master delivery contains around 40 titles in XDCAM – Quick Time Movie format (see attachment MasterFiles01). Attachments are screen shots from Media Info Software. We are using Premier Pro to view the material, QC the material and carry on some editing tasks. Our Sequence Settings are (see attachment SequenceSettings) and our export settings are (see attachment ExportSettings) At this stage, we are experiencing no problems at all. Material is recognized by Premier Pro. We can view and edit the files. So, we have no indication of the problem until we press export media which cause Premiere Pro to unexpectedly stop working (see attachment premiere pro
Somehow Creative Cloud updated my Adobe Media Encoder to 2018 and now my Premiere (2017.1.2) can no longer export! This is the error message I get : I tried going into the Creative Cloud and re-downloading the old version of AME like I've done in the past, but this is no longer an option! I see it as an option for Premiere and some of my other Adobe Apps ("Other Versions"), but nothing like that exists for AME.I'm mid-project and very much do not want to upgrade Premiere to make this work, but I'm straight up stuck not being able to export! Someone help!!
In AME CC2017, I used to be able to render out two different formats, a Quicktime and an MPEG2 file, simultaneously. I would set up the first render in Premiere and Queue it, then Duplicate the render in AME under the same Premiere sequence and change the AME preset to my second format. Now, in CC2018, that's not working, and AME show up as Not Responding, then crashes. I like to do multiple renders this way because AME would render both files at the same time and it seemed to be quicker, as opposed to rendering one at a time. I can still set up multiple renders, but I have to switch back to Premiere Pro for each render. Is there something that I'm doing wrong, or is this another bug?
So now I'm having a problem in that Encoder 2017 stalls and won't take my video. I have tried importing directly into media encoder with a pp project as well as tried from the media browser and each time the program gets stuck have way through importing the project to the queue. I uninstalled the program, then reinstalled and did a restart. Still not working. I'm on a year old powerful iMac and running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. PP 2017 version is 11.1.2Thoughts?
Hello community, I do not know how to figure out of mi struggle. Hello everyoneI am not sure what might be wrong but my AME is not watching only .AEP or .AEPX files to encode.I have tried with other file formats like .MP4 or .MOV - it is working with them perfectly but not with the above mentioned file extensions.I have tried doing manual encoding in AEM which is also working fine. There are several compositions to be encoded, which is why I need to have the watch folder encoding sorted.Looking forward for your valuable help. Thanks !
Both applications crash on start up. Error message for Adobe Media Encoder is as follows. The application was unable to start correctly (0xe06d7363). Click ok to close application.I have tried starting as admin (ctrl + shift). I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have deleted preference files in App Data folder. I have even tried a registry edit. All to no avail.
Is this typically normal? I imported a .mov file in the adobe media encoder but it still is importing after an hour. I updated my programs. Also, when i choose a previous mov i used a month ago, it work. But the project i've been working on these past two weeks still freezes when i'm importing. Help?
Before this latest update there were a bunch of presets within the encoder which included one called Android Tablet 1080. Those are now gone. Does anyone know how to get those back?
Hey,I'm facing again a problem and still don't know how to handle it.I shoot with my Canon 60D.I just wanna split my 5min long video into 3 short videos. The 5min long video is ~1.4GB => 280MB per minuteMy short 10 seconds video have 150MB (instead of ~50MB)My present for that in Media Render Queue is- Format: Quicktime- Codec: Photo JPEG (quality: 80)Nothing else I've changed... (maybe thats the problem )Also tried Quicktime with other codecs, but its either worse or kind of the same. How can I render .mov files which are not so huge but have still a good quality?Or is there a nice technical answer, why canons mov is so small? hahaThanks a lot Stefan
Three questions:1) I have created some ingest presets where I'm appending custom names and setting custom locations to my files. What I have noticed is that the transcoding preset is not "live" as the popup would imply. Basically when the picked preset has it's settings modified (outside of the ingest preset window), the ingest preset itself does not get the new settings as it should. I have to go to the transcode preset list, pick another preset, then re pick the old one in order for the new settings to be available in the ingest preset. The correct behaviour should allow me to change any transcode preset that ingest presets reference after which all of them source the updated setting. Instead what seems to happen is that one must go into every ingest preset and re pick the updated transcode preset which is a huge waste of time in any workflow that is outside of the hobbyist realm.2) Where is the source scaling popup/setting inside of a preset when no clip is loaded for display preview
