Adobe Media Encoder

Both our iMac and Mac Pro are on Monterey running Premiere and Encoder 2023.The iMac makes quick work of proxies, but the 2020 Mac Pro goes slow and hangs. Once it starts processing the system cpu usage in activity monitor goes way up while the user cpu% is lower which is the opposite on the iMac. The iMac has higher user cpu%, like 82%. A 20+ minute interview took 7mins to proxy on the iMac pro and 40mins. on the MacPro. What could be the reason for this difference and for Encoder showing up as a system process instead of a user process on the Mac Pro? 

Get this error all the time when I try to add to Media encoder from After effects. Both programs are updated. working on AE 23.0 and Media encoder have tried both 23.0 and 23.1 and nothing is working.Working on mac

Hello,I am creating some proxies with AME. However it keeps on crashing. I have been watching the RAM usage in Activity monitor. It starts off low around 8GB and then cranks up to 30GB and then eventually crashes. It starts off well, pumping out some clips around 20 or so and then slows and doesn't respond. I have tried clearing Cache for both AME and Premiere and my Library. I am trying to convert XAVC 4K 50FPS files to Quicktime Prores Low res Proxy. Running Macbook Pro 2019 2.3Ghz 8-Core intel Core i9Memory 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4AMD Radeon Pro 5600M with 8GB of HBM2 memory Both AME and Premiere are up to date as of 19 Sep 2022 Is there anything I can do to make it more stable? Thanks!

Hey All,  Currently trying to render out some stuff from adobe after effects via media encoder. It was okay until it updated recently and now experiencing problems with it. It just hangs in media encoder at a few minutes. Ive left it overnight and tried several times to re render but facing the same issue with the same file and different files too! It stops at random points and then just hangs. Running M1 Macbook Pro16GB RAMVersion 13.0.1 (22A400)

Media Encoder updated to 2023 verison and ever since does not open as 'an error occured'.

Just installed all of the latest 2023 apps on my M1 Mac Mini. Media Encoder 2023 crashes shortly after the splash screen disappears.

Olá pessoal, instalei a Creative Cloud 2022 no PC em que eu trabalho. Eu tinha versões "alternativas" já instaladas e configuradas, mas consegui finalmente pagar pelos apps para ter mais segurança e ser correto. Meu workflow é After Effects e Media Encoder. Assim que instalei no PC, visto q tinha outras versões anteriores (2017 e 2020) já instaladas, a versão 2022 instalei tambem e rolou liso, de boa. Precisei formatar minha maquina, pois fazia 4 anos que não formatava e queria começar esse ciclo com  a maquina limpa. Aí que começaram os problemas.Uso um Desktop com processador i7 oitava geração - 64 gb de ram - Placa de Video Nvidia Quadro P4000 e uma Nvidia NVS 810. Editei um monte de material no After Effects e tirei o dia hoje para renderizar todo o material, mas o Media Encoder SIMPLESMENTE não renderiza... Arc A750 driver version is 31.0.101.3793 and Premiere and Media encoder is newest.When I using Quicksync ocassionally crash premiere and crash and showing blue screen with media encoder. Do I have to roll-back driver? What version is stable?

Hi there! For some reason Media Encoder is crashing everytime I'm trying to create proxies. We own 2 iMac Pro's (2017) and both have the same problem. When I try it on an older MacBook or iMac with the updated version it doesn's seem to have that problem. Does anyone know what could be the issue? Grt. Ricardo

Hello,I have developed extension works on Adobe Bridge and Adobe InDesign called Tree Shade.https://exchange.adobe.com/apps/cc/13737Now the extension makes BridgeTalk between Bridge and InDesign to export pdf files and page images.I want to do the same with AME. I want Bridge to ask AME to export a .aep file to mp4 and get informed when the exporting is done.Could anyone help me with that. Thanks in advance.

My media encoder speeds have been cut by about 80% since updating to Ventura, do we have any insight on this? Simply cutting up a video and rerendering it is taking about double the video length. If I add a background around the edges using an adobe stock image, the render speed is about triple the video length (in my case, 4+ hours for a 1.5 hour video. Any ideas? I checked my settings and cleared my cache and nothing has changed.

Hi there, I have been having this issue for years where I have had to do the fix manually which takes way more time. My job requires that I resize lots of videos and compress them to make them easy to share. The videos are from all sorts of different aspect ratios. 16:9, 4:3, 2.35:1 etc HD,4K etc.. I still havent found a way in media encoder where you can batch compress the original videos to export with a setting where the longest edge is set and the short edge changes for each individual video. If I have a 2:35.1 video and I compress it and resize it from 1920 on the long edge to say 1000p on the long edge. With the scaling lock selected, the video correctly scales, but any other video in the queue will be fitted into that framing. So a 16:9 video will be exported with big black boxes to the sides for example. It there a way to make this just scale per video in the queue whereby if you want all videos of varying aspect ratios, to have the longest edge being a set

Hi, really need some help here. I spent about 4 hours trying to figure this out. Tried all the solutions I saw posted including turing of the "Import sequences Nativley" making sure there is enough free space, clearing cache, reinstalling, restarting and none of it worked.  No matter what I do my comp when sent to Media Encoder from After Effects (via Add to Adobe Media Enocder Queue) are getting stuck for minutes when I try to access the settings window or when they start to render. For a 15 sec video I'm seeing delays of about 4 minutes.  I know these times are accurate as the screen shots have time stamps.  I uninstalled AE 22.5 and tried to roll back to 22.3 (I swear that used to work) along with removing ME 22.5 and installing both ME 22.0 and 22.3, but I had no luck. I then allowed AE and to update to the latest 22.5 and tried it with ME 22.0 even not keeping the prefernces, but again nothing. Not matter what I do it will take about 4 minutes just to open

Hello. I have a few questions about source range in Me.1. How to set up default source range. I want work area and not Sequence in/out2. Is there a way, when batch exporting, to set up wanted source range instead clicking every file and setting it to "work area" Thanks

I create short segments for TV that invlove generating sub titles for video in Permiere and using dynamic link for the segment within After effects.  The name of the segment is "AUTO SUBS" and dynamically changes within Premiere with the same segment using dynamic link in place for AE.   In practice, when exporting to AME, I get a myriad of errors at times.  From audio being used from older encodes, black video, or lately premiere just freezes forcing me to reboot.  Fun stuff.  It DOES work when I close AME and Premiere completely and reopen, THEN encode.   I didn't think this would be so unusal a practice but I suppose it's just something that wasn't anticipated and was left out of bug checks.  

Hello Adobe Friends, Trying to find a way to transcode ProRes 4444 clips but maintain the LOG color space of the source clips. In Media Encoder, when selecting ProRes 4444 as my codec, I'm presented only with Rec. 709 or Rec 2100 as my Export in Color Space options.  My goal: preserve the raw log color space of some RED Raw Helium clips when transcoding to ProRes 4444 "proxies" for a VFX roundtrip workflow. Even if I tell the Red clips to display at LOG color space (and it looks nice and flat in the reference), the PR4444 will always convert it to 709, which granted looks better, but doesn't seem to preserve the color information i'm looking for.  Anything I can do to achieve this? I have also tried loading the RED clips into Premiere, changing the master clip settings to LOG, then "Creating Proxies" from there into PR4444 codec, but again, it always converts it to Rec 709. Any tips would be much appreciated! Hallo Leute und zwar ist mit jetzt öfters aufgefallen, dass ich kein Sound am Anfang meines Videos habe wenn ich dies Exportiere. Beispiel ein 4K Material ca 4std. die ersten Minuten ohne Ton und der rest mit Ton. hoffe auf Hilfe da ich das schon 5-6 mal exportiere jedesmal

Hallo habe folgende Problem beim Upscalen einer 1920x1080 mp4/Mxf auf 3840x2160p. Media Encodererzeugt anstatt der eingestellten 23,976 immer 23,9761 FPS. Diese Datei lässt sich aber nicht konfomz.B. mit Tsmuxer als UHD erzeugen. Die erezugt UHD ist dann nicht lesbar. Erst nachdem die Mp4nochmal mit 23,976 in DVDFab durchläuft ist die Datei problemlos verwendbar um damit z.B. eine UHD zu erezugen und zu brennen auf Disc.Ist das eine Bug von Adobe oder gibts ne spezielle Einstellung? Hello I have the following problem when upscaling a 1920x1080 mp4/mxf to 3840x2160p. Media Encoder always generates 23.9761 FPS instead of the set 23.976. However, this file cannot be configured e.g. generate as UHD with Tsmuxer. The resulting UHD is then unreadable. Only after the Mp4 runs again with 23.976 in DVDFab can the file be used without any problems, e.g. to create a UHD and burn it to disc. Is that a bug from Adobe or is there a special setting?

in 12.1 (171), in the "effects" tab on the "export settings" window, when "lumetri look/lut" is checked, I can't choose "select" from the drop down menu. when I click it, nothing happens. !

Hi Community, I was just helping someone with this issue and thought I'd share this helpful tip to batch process widescreen format clips to square.   Create a new encoding preset at 1080 x 1080 (or other square dimensions) with Scale to Fill Selected in the Output panel. Save this preset. For the watch folder, choose this preset in the Watch Folders panel. Drag your clips into the watch folder. The widescreen clips will be punched into the new square format.   Let me know if you hit any snags.   Incidentally, this action is available in Adobe Express under Quick Actions > Resize Video, but not as a batch. It's one at a time. 

alguien me puede ayudar a conseguir el media encoder 2020?

AME takes like forever to export a videofile in H.264. Tried reinstalling both AE and AME but no changes. Sometimes when the AME is exporting it just quit. Currently exporting a file on 25mb and it's 8h left until finished... Recently updated windows and are working on a Lenovo with Geforce RTX 3070, so dont see why it should be a problem..
