My drone footage is recorded at 4k 60fps HEVC at about 150mbps. When exporting through Media Encoder, it will encode a 4k 60fps prores proxy file at about 300mbps Given that, it sounds like an acceptable final output format for stock footage, right? I mean it would be better to have a prores proxy file at 300mbps then an MP4 at 45mbps, right?
is adobe media encoder free???

I have been using watch folders for DNxHD and H.264 transcodes, as well as stripping audio. Seems like anything I run through media encoder that outputs uncompressed audio is shifted about half a frame early (848 samples) compared to the original. I have recreated this issue across multiple systems, even with new presets made from scratch. This has been the case for a long time and it's consistent. This doesn't happen with my preset that outputs AAC audio, but it does happens when I output only WAV audio files (no video), or a DNxHD video with uncompressed audio (that's all I've tested so far). This is a huge problem, I often conform my audio (in Pro Tools) based on the waveform of the guide audio embedded in these videos. A lot of the work I've done in the last few years has all been half a frame early because of this. Has anyone seen this before? How can I make Media Encoder output sample accurate audio without shifting?
Connecting to the Dynamic Link Server is not working; I see a lot of questions about it. And I've tried every solution suggested, but none of them works. I restarted the system, cleared the cache, and reset the media encoder settings and both AE and ME are updated to the latest version.
Media Encoder 2023 suddenly stopped rendering H.264 videos yesterday and it continuosly fails to render any video exported from After Effects 2023 in the queue. I have tried exporting through After Effect directly, but that is not ideal long term. I have alsi tried using the cleaning tool and reinstalled Creative Cloud and all applicable applications and it is still failing to render. My MacOS is up to date with MacOS Ventura 13.4.1.
When using the Publish to Vimeo option, I get a resulting link that includes a colon rather than a slash (":" rather than "/"). See the screen shot attached. I'm blurring out a few numbers so that my video remains private.Example of the error: https://vimeo.com/755555555:1ababababIf it matters, I'm signing in to a Vimeo + account, the privacy setting in the Media Encoder "Export Settings" window "Publish" tab is "Viewable by:" "Only Me". I posted this issue before, but wasn't able to respond to customer service quickly enough so it must've been deleted. Thanks for fixing this!
I am trying to setup an automated proxy workflow with Media Encoder in which I ingest footage into preset watch folders and it creates proxies for an overseas editor. Now, is there a way of getting Media Encoder to convert the original files into proxies without creating the "Source" folder? It would be a lot better to have the source files stay in the same location rather than in subfolders. Thank you all for your help.Cheers,Javier.
Media Encoder no longer is able to properly detect .dpx or .cin files as being image sequences on import. The only option is to stitch the files.AE can import these sequences as a sequence propertly. ME can not! This was working and now it's not. Is this a licensing issue with Kodak or a bug or a coding oversite?
Hello Adobe Creative Thinkers, I got a huge amount of messages that Media Encoder and Premiere Pro crash when exporting.Note:This depends on millions of factors; one simple test is to disable the (CUDA) GPU Accelerator in the preferences and at the bottom of the main list on ME. Check the screenshots and I hope this helps.Sergio
Greetings. I have having issues with media encoder overwriting files instead of automatically adding the _1 or _2 etc. extensions. The box is checked to do that. I have reset the status in the encoder, and dont want to lose all my work. Why is this happening all of a sudden?
I made a video, and wanted to render it. When i preview it in media encoder the left side of the video is slipping. It is fine if i render it from After Effects 23. Here is a photo of it
Hi, When rendering an EXR sequence from After Effects, the naming convention did not work properly. MCH_010_0010_v006_[#####] should have been rendered as MCH_010_0010_v006_1001 (frame number), instead it was rendered as MCH_010_0010_v006_[#####]001. Now I have to rename all the frames manually. Version of the app: Version 23.5 (Build 51)Platform and OS version: Windows 10 HomeBasic steps to reproduce the problem: EXR sequence set up in After Effects and rendered multiple projects in Media Encoder Diego
I just installed a fresh version of Catalina on my machine as well as CC. Everything is the latest version at this date. AE will not export to AME via Composition dropdown. It will open AME but no item adds to the que. If I add the item to AE render que and then like que in AME it will put the sequence in AME. When I attempt to change any settings or render, I get the error "Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again" My best guess is that Catalinas new security features are preventing the apps from talking, but I don't know how to resolve the issue.
使用Adobe Media Encoder输出的视频应居中显示,附件中视频为错位效果。当前问题已出现2周+,尝试过卸载重装等都未能解决问题。
hi all, have anyone encounter this issue while rendering. I render a 16:9 clip that looks and render completely fine in AE. However when i send to media encoder, it gives me issues, with the images shifted to the side (see images) . thanks for the tips and help in advance.
Please allow temporary render files ex: *.acc, *.m4v to be placed into a selected temp folder, not the output folder. While exporting to a lucidlink share the temp files are fully uploaded to lucidlink, then deleted when combined into the final export file. This causes lucidlink to use 2x data which is retained for over 1 month, incurring extra costs. Also, the export is delayed while the temp files are uploading, somtimes for several minutes. See screenshot of temp file and output files in lucidlink output folder. Thank you, Lawrence
Hello! I have recently encountered an issue and I would like to seek help here. When exporting a video using Adobe software, I have noticed a gap on the right side of the video during the media export process. However, this issue does not occur when exporting directly from PR or AE. I am puzzled as to how this gap is being generated and unsure of how to resolve it. I would like to reach out to the experts and experienced users in this forum to see if anyone has encountered a similar issue or if there are any suggestions or solutions you could provide me with. I truly appreciate your assistance and support.
@eckiAMETeam not sure if you're the ones to ask, but I have a couple very specific scripting questions that I really need answers to! I posted on here two months ago and have gotten no response. I've gotten familiar with the scripting docs (https://readthedocs.org/projects/ame-scripting-guide/downloads/pdf/latest/) and have gotten some things to work, namely launching AME command line with a JSX file and getting it to clear the queue, populate it and start rendering the specified file and it's corresponding preset. But I'm having a few very specific issues: I'm using the below function to create an item from an image sequence: encoderWrapper = app.getFrontend().addFileSequenceToBatch(); but I can't get the attributes of frameRate, outputFrameSize or frameRange to work (I also don't see a way to set whether to include alpha).var frameRate = "24"; encoderWrapper.setFrameRate(frameRate); var width = 1920; var height = 1080; encoderWrap
When I export from Premiere Pro by sending to Media Encoder, Media Encoder is bypassing certain effects from the Premiere project. It will export a video that plays fine with no error messages, but the video will be missing a certain audio filter or video effect. I have noticed it happening mostly with "obsolete" effects and with third party licenced effects like Cosmo II and the L1 Limiter from Waves.I recently upgraded to the Mac Studio with the M2 Max. I am running all adobe software through Rosetta so that I can use the effects that are no longer supported like the Three-way color correction, Change to Color and others. I have hundreds of projects that rely on these effects, and I can't simply replace them all. All these effects work fine in Premiere and export fine if I export directly from Premiere. But if I send to Media Encoder it just ignores those effects. I'm currently running Version 23.1 of Premiere, and was running version 23.1 of Media Encoder, but I updated to version 2
Version 23.5 updated today. Wont open, just crashes. I had problems with 23.4 but it went away.
