Adobe Media Encoder

So i've been having a BUNCH of issues with media encoder for the past month. First it was getting stuck on the loading screen, but thankfully I was able to finally get it open after removing the plug-in it kept getting stuck on, but now the comp wont render at all. The project connects to AME and once i start the queue it just stays on "Connecting dynamic link to server" and loads endlessly. The project never actually begins to render. Not only that once I stop the queue I am unable to delete the project from the queue. The only way I can is if i quit AME and come back, only THEN will it let me delete projects in the queue. Anyone got any suggestions on what I should do? I already removed it and reinstalled it a bunch today but that didn't seem to work as well as other things I came across here!My after effects version is : AE 2021v 18.4 My media encoder version is : AME 2021 v 15.4

Running Windows 11 on Victus laptop w/AMD Ryzen 5000 series 7 & Radeon gfx.Latest versions of Permier Pro Desktop and Media Encoder installed and updated. I have about 39-44 minutes of MP4 footage that was originally captured on a Sony 4k camcorder.  However (and I caused this probelm) when I renamed the file and moved it via USB, Windows changed the file properties associated with the video.  (I never have any problems when I import or ingest directly from the SD card.) All the video is still there - the file size is the same, etc, etc.  But now Windows, Premier Pro and Media Encoder all think it's only 3 seconds long.  The resulting mp4 only plays the LAST 3 sec of the original.  There's probably a Sony or Windows hack out there somewhere to fix this, but I'd much rather fix my self-inflicted idiocy in Premier Pro or Media Encoder. The original stuff is gone now.  The SD card has since been formatted.  Can anyone offer a solution?

Hello, I am having an issue of rendering in after effects, even a 10 second video takes 1 to 3 hours of rendering in media encoder, please help me in resolving this issue, thanks

Hello everyone, I've designed some LED video panels for a client in After Effects, but their supplier specifications ask for a .MOV video with DVX codec. I honestly haven't heard of DivX in 15-20 years and thought the format was dead... A quick search led me to the official www.divx.com website, that provides a free app to convert video files into DVX format. The installer for the app however is not signed and I don't feel comfortable bypassing Mac OS security (also on Trustpilot it's mentioned that the Windows installer too gets flagged as malware). All in all the website is pretty sketchy. I found another alternative in https://resolume.com which provide a free converter, and while they look like a serious and professional developer, the converter is bundled with their other applications that I'd rather not install on my work machine. Does anyone know of a free and safe way to encode or convert into DVX in 2025? I don't know if there is a way to do this already... but this is either a question or a suggestion depending on if it's possible When generating proxies in Media Encoder through Premiere Pro, the proxies adopt the audio channels and attributes of the source files. Premiere Pro requires that audio on proxies matches. Is there a way to do this in AME as a first step?Without going through Premiere Pro. As far as I have been able to find, there is no way to do any sort of pass-through audio on Apple ProRes Proxy files through AME... it would have to be set in the preset or per file, but then you'd have to have a preset for every different type of audio configuration and that isn't very realistic Since it can work when going through Premiere as an intermediary, why not have the option to do it without Premiere on the front end and then connect your proxies later? is this already possible? I can't find it.

I had some films transfered to digital files that are 4:3, I want to crop out the black bars on the side in ME, When I render it, the black bars still appear as if the video is 16:9 still.  This is AFTER I go to source and select 4:3.  What user error am I doing to make this not work?

Can Media Encoder (or any other Adobe application) perform functions that ffmpeg and Handbrake do, regardless of whether it takes longer or uses more resources, etc.?

I'm in hour 16 of a render (H.264, 1 Pass, FML) and at this point, I just want the existing render without waiting the approximately 15 hours still remaining for my two-minute video.  I've tried copying the existing .m4v file every possible way but AME has it locked up. If I press "Stop" will my existing render still be sitting there in the folder? Can I salvage it from there? Or am I doomed to wait this out and miss my deadline?

I'm currently using adobe premiere pro 2020 (because of old plugins i have there), and i accidently uninstalled the media encoder for it. When i look up the older versions of media encoder that i can install it doesnt show up anything for 20.0, which is the version for adobe premiere pro 2020. I've tried looking it up, but cant find any answears for how i can install that exact version back. Please help me 

I had a queue up with a couple of edited videos that I spent a ton of time on. And then a power surge occurred which made my computer shut down and I turned it back on and all of the videos are gone from the queue. And I don't know how to get them back.

Max file size does nothing.I set it 4mb and get 36.5mb file.No matter if it's already rendered out H264 .mp4 file or straight from AE. Tried different encoding and bitrate encodings. I use CUDA.TBH I think this is broken for years.

Is it possible to have a suffix added to the output file name when using a (custom) preset? For example, if I use my custom Prores422 preset, that would automatically add something like "_Example" in the end of the file name.

When I export my GIF it changes all my backgrounds from white (FFFFFF) to just barely off white (FBFBFB).I have tested this with video exports and it's all fine, I have changed EVERY setting that can be changed, and nothing. Here is my desired export setting:Unfortunately as I'm trying to place these GIF images on a white website, the off-white background does not work for me, I'm at a loss!

Hello everyone, Yesterday, my Adobe Media Encoder was working perfectly fine. I was rendering a 15-minute 4K video in about 10 minutes. However, today, the same type of project takes over an hour to render! The only change I made was installing  Adobe After Effects and adding a few templates to it.I’ve tried everything:- Restarting my computer - Checking CPU/GPU usage (no issues) - Reinstalling Adobe Media Encoder and Premiere Pro - Changing export and renderer settings (Mercury GPU Acceleration, Software Only, etc.) - Clearing cache and resetting preferencesI also tried disabling Dynamic Link, but when I do that, Premiere Pro doesn’t send the project to Media Encoder at all. No matter what I try, the render times are still 5-6 times longer than before.Has anyone else experienced this issue? Could After Effects have caused some background processes to slow down Media Encoder? Any help would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance!

Whenever I want to export a project from AE and choose "add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue", nothing happens. This vital function simply does not work.I can wait forever, nothing loads in the queue. Also manually adding it to the queue doesn't work.I have a recent MacBook Pro with 16GB ram and I7, I always have the most recent updates. nothing ever helps.I see this problem being reported all over many forums and have never seen Adobe offer a solution or even recognize the issue.The only thing that helps is restarting my system and then adding a file to the queue works.But after working a short period of time on other files, it will not work anymore.Having to export a big number of files daily, this is becoming a big waste of time and money for my company.I have had this issue for over a year now and it's becoming such a big problem and frustration that I am considering canceling my subscription and finding alternatives.Any help is more than welcome.I apologize if there is another thread

Hi bug team, Sporadically, my BRAW clips (6k@48fps) shot on BMPCC6kPro are exporting as completely black amongst other clips of the exact same type, frame rate, etc when I send the media to AME to export. This issue does not happen when I export directly from Premiere.  When I re-export these clips, it is usually the SAME clips that remain black every time I export, and agian, this issue only affects AME and does not affect Premiere, but of course slows down my workflow considerably.  AME Version 24.4.1PPro 24.4.1 In the preview window of AME the clips will display black, but it will still take the same amount of time to render.If I had to guess (although I cannot confirm this) it seems that editing the RAW aspect of the footage (altering the ISO in the BRAW window) makes it MORE LIKELY that the clips will export black, although some of them come out just fine. Hello, sometimes when I finish rendering the video and watch it to see if everything seems okay, there would be an audio pop round a few seconds into the video, but the rest of the audio is fine. In the original source audio, there is no pop, the volume levels are fine (only just hitting the green area), and so on. I export the audio using AAC (the same as source audio), 320kbps, 48000 hz, which is exactly the same as my source audio. I have also tried making the first few seconds of the audio fade in, as apparently that can help, but I'm still encountering a random pop five seconds into the video. I'm guessing this is a bug, as my levels and everything else are fine.

when i try to export a video in Media Encoder 2020 it gets stuck on "connecting to project" this happends to me when exporting from after effects and when importing an after effects file into media encoder. i tried using multiple projects and they all get stuck on "connecting to project". i used to be able to export videos with media encoder without any problems but now not anymore(i posted a picture down below of the  "connecting to project" im using Media Encoder 2020 and After Effects 2020   

Every time i render on my MacBook Pro M1 Max I'm having an issue where my audio interface is LOUDLY beeping through the left channel sporadically throughout the render. Only way to stop it is to uplug the audio interface. It's incredibly annoying, and bad for my studio monitor speakers. Anyone come across this? Hi all,I'm trying to convert about 500 mp3 files to mp4 videos with a logo in the embedded. I can do this with Premiere Pro, just add the mp3 to my audio track and add the image to my video track. However, all mp3 files differ in length and there's an awful lot of them so this is a lot of work. I tried doing the same process in Adobe Media Encoder: I add an mp3 file, AME can convert it to a mp4 video just fine. In the export settings I add the Image overlay option and add my image. In the preview window it shows up just how I want it, but when I convert the video nothing shows up in the screen. Am I doing something wrong or is this just not supported? If so, does anyone have a suggestion on how to solve this? I think ffmpeg can do it, but I have no idea how that works and a lot of answers on the internet about that seem to be outdated or don't work. Letting someone else do it isn't an option either because new mp3 files get added weekly.Thanks a lot!

Since upgrading to CS6,when I upload my videos to You Tube I keep getting a notice that I need to adjust my Quicktime settings to prepare videos for internet streaming. Which is easy enough with Quicktime, just chexk the prepare for fast streaming box, with iFFMPEG it also one of the custom choices available by checking the "write moov atom" box. I cannot find the equivilent in AME. Are there presets that do write the moov atom.

AME isn't working for me at all. I have tried uninstalling and installing it again updated it to the latest version but still, it just keeps connecting to Dynamic Link Server for anonymous time. Is there any solution apart from updating, I am importing an AE project file.

Is there any option like, after adobe media encoder exporting the videos file i want it to upload files to google drive. Usuallly i do it manually but i wanted to know is there any option like this?
