Hi Adobe Friends...we have run into a small glitch with CC2021. When we attempt to export a short sequence from Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder opens up and we adjust the settings for our export. When we click on the Queue button, we receive an error message stating that Adobe Media Encoder is not installed - BUT IT ACTUALLY IS INSTALLED. This error message makes no logical sense. We have even gone so far as to uninstall and re-install the Media Encoder application, but we receive the same error message. Is there anyone out there experiencing this problem, or who may have previously? We have never run into this issue with Media Encoder in the past decade. Please help if you have information which can assist us. Cheers!
I downloaded a .mp4 file from our GoToWebinar presentation, it opens fine from Windows Movies & TV by default. But once I cut out the beginning of the video and convert the file in Adobe Media Encoder using "Match Source", I cannot open the converted .mp4 file. Tried to open from Windows media player, no luck either.Update: I cut up the file in Premier, and export in Premier to H.264 (,mp4), same result, cannot open in Windows Movies & TV.Message was edited by: Randy Chen
Hi folks! Really hope someone can help. I've just installed my old version of CS5 Production Suite on a new PC, but for some reason I can't import mp4 files into AME, After Effects, Or Premiere Pro. There's no error... the import dialogue just appears and then the cursor spins idly until I stop/quit. My older PC has no issue with this (and I've been happily using the apps for years). The specs of both machines, if it makes a difference, is: PC1i7-6900K / 32GB RAM and using an Nvidia GTX 1080 PC2AMD 3970X / 64 GB RAM using an Nvidia RTX 3090 Both machines run Windows 10 Home. I can import other formats into the above applications (though I haven't tested them all) without any issue, and export as mp4. Just can't get mp4 files in. I can't open any project that contains mp4 files, that opened on my older PC, either. I've searched for answers to this, but all I've seen so far either deals with issues exporting (I don't have that problem), or is trying to
Hi! Can somebody please help me out? Why does Premiere open something called Media Encoder? My computer is lagging really badly when I try to edit videos. Does it have to do with that app? I have emptied the Premiere cache - I do it once per hour, and shut down the aplication, wich helps for a while. From time to time - at least once a day - Premiere crashes. Here is what I can tell you about my computer - sorry, I coudn´t translate it all to English - I don´t know the words for this stuff...mac os Big sur 11.2.3MacBook ProProsessor: Four cores Intel Core i72,2 GHzProsessors: 1cores: 4L2-välimuisti (per core): 256 ktL3-välimuisti: 6 MtHyper-Threading-tekniikka: in useMemory: 16 GtThank you in advance! 🙂Katarina
My After Effects project uses a particle flare footage layer with blending mode "Screen". This plays and looks correct in the AE preview. However, after exporting to Adobe Media Encoder, it generates a render error. Export ErrorError compiling movie.Render ErrorRender returned error.Writing with exporter: H.264Writing to file: \\?\C:\Users\brown\Documents\Adobe\After Effects 2020\Projects\NL\NL_AME\NL.mp4Writing file type: H264Around timecode: 00:00:01:00Rendering at offset: 0.000 secondsComponent: H.264 of type ExporterSelector: 9Error code: -1609629695 I have found that changing the layer blend mode to others such as Normal, Add, Lighten all work correctly (every other mode I tried except Screen seems to work). Further, I exported the project (using Collect Files), copied it to another PC, where it renders correctly What can I do to fix the AME error?
I was trying to export my project from prem pro, so it went into media encoder and while i was trying to render it:An error was encountered while writing the output file. The output destination could not be found. Check that the output directory still exists. If the output directory is on a network or external device, check that the connection is active.popped up. How do I fix it? 😕😕 I used an adobe after effects project file and its called Untitled.

Every single time I try to use adobe Media Encoder, the program crashes randomly before it can complete a single file. I have never been able to get it to function appropriately one time. I am always up to date on current versions, I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. This is the case on both my Mac and PC work computers. Any recomendations would be helpful on how to solve this, as it would make a vast difference in my productivity.
Hello! When I export my .mov video to .webm on Adobe Encoder or Premier Pro, the colors changes a little for no reason (from pink to orange for example).I did a lot of research but no solution...Do you have any ideas?Thank you for your future answers 😔
Hello, since I updated Adobe Media Encoder to 2020, I am on longer able to see presets of Vimeo and Youtube.Anyone can help? Thanks!
Hi, hoping for some help here. For some reason my render/exports from Premiere Pro are not queueing in Media Encoder. Media Encoder soes open automatically but then nothing happens. I have searched throughly on this issue, including all the fixes noted in this thread (https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro/premiere-pro-cc-not-queuing-exports-into-media-encoder-cc/m-p/5448537) but nothing works for me.This is becoming a major issue, partuclualry when it comes to creating proxies, and is hurting my workflow.Any assistance appreciated. Thanks!
Hi - I need to deliver music with metadata to video editors working in Media Composer. They've requested MFX files, which I can create in Adobe Media Encoder, but the file sizes jump into the gigabytes because I can't deselect the video export button (greyed out) . Any tips on how to do this efficiently (on a daily basis!) Thanks!
When I try to bring a project into the Media Encoder Queue (have literally tried every way of doing this I'm aware of) the program crashes at about 75% into loading the project. I'm running OSX Big Sur 11.4. Incredibly frustrating seeing as I have 10-15 sequences I now have to individually export from inside of premier. Have tried restarts, downgrading programs, etc. Really no logical reason for the prgram to be acting this way.
Why is Media Encoder so slow ?!?! Title edited by mod
Hi,How can i export from Media Encoder an IMG SEQ in TGA RLE?Thanks for your help
As the title suggests, how can I connect multiple computers (on the same network) and render a Premiere Pro project (faster)?I know this question has been asked before in different ways, but the answers don't exactly line up with what my situation is (i.e. they target After Effects projects).I have five machines that all support the latest versions of Adobe CC (2020). I would like to find a way to simply send a finished Premiere Pro project (with all of its assets and external comps including After Effects and Audition files) into something like a Watch Folder, except instead of only one computer rendering all five computers work together to render the project. I understand there are some ways to use frame splitting to render individual frames separately on different computers and then combine them in the end, but I have not been able to get this to work.I do not mind working with scripts or code, in fact, this setup will be linked together in a render server, so it would be great if t
I've recently been having a problem when rendering animations from after effects through media encoder. When exporting as H264 with all the default settings (match source - high bitrate etc.), the image looks pixelated at random points during the animation. Initially I thought I just needed to crank up the bitrate but that still didn't work. I think that this is to do with my pc somehow because colleagues haven't had any issues exporting with my after effects projects. Any ideas? I've attached my pc specs
Nothing opens Media Encoder! I've been uninstalling and installing and restarting my computer and trying again and again but either nothing happens or it takes ages to verify and then either stalls or nothing happens! How am I supposed to output from Character Animator if Media Encoder flat out refuses to open?
This has got to be the worst uninstall process I have ever come across. I havent used any adobe software in over a year and I try to uninstall creative cloud. I can't because other apps depend on it. OK so i try to uninstall premiere and encoder and BAM i have to log in to my account to access creative cloud to even have the OPTION TO UNINSTALL. I dont remember what the f email i used, let alone my password to log in so I can get this junk off my computer. I finally get logged in only to have to wait for creative cloud to UPDATE before I can uninstall the dependencies just so i can uninstall creative cloud. Complete waste of time. I am never using another Adobe product again. I will find and support any alternatives to the crap that adobe has become in the last decade. My biggest turn off for this product was the requirement of creative cloud. Let me just install the crap I want and not download additional garbage to my pc just to take up space and give me ads about products I am not i
Hi. I've been stuck for hours in this issue.I would like to export video from Character Animator via Adobe Media Encoder but AME repeated saying "Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted" even the file is there. I tried to clear the cache as advised in old thread but no luck. Here I attached the error message, so it would be much appreciated if anyone helps me. ---------* Character Animator (Beta): version 4.3 (build 29)* Adobe Media Encoder (Beta): version 15.3* OS: macOS Big Sur (M1)---------- Source File: /Users/myname/Documents/birthday-usethis/birthday-usethis.chproj- Output File: /Users/myname/Documents/birthday01.mov- Preset Used: Apple ProRes 4444 with alpha- Video:- Audio:- Bitrate:- Encoding Time: 00:00:0005/13/2021 03:49:34 PM : Encoding Failed------------------------------------------------------------Could not read from the source. Hi, I'm trying to export an animation made in After Effects in a WebM format using the VP9 codec. Whenever I try to render something, when the render comes near the end, it just freezes and doesn't progress. I don't get any error message or anything else, but I have to force quit Media Encoder otherwise it'll just stay like that. I'm using Media Encoder and After Effects latest versions, but I've had this problem for the past few months.Windows 10, 64bit.Graphics card: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Does anyone know how to fix this?
Hello everyone,So in Media Encoder I've got my presets regarding Youtube upload + watched folders. My youtube title + description is always the same, except the dates. I wanted to automate the whole process with a text replacement so found a file responsible for the preset .epr and automator can update the dates for the new Youtube title upload... The problem is even in Media Encoder it shows the new date - Yt title when I just go to Preset Settings but once i'm encoding and uploading a video with this preset... the old date is being shown on youtube. Is there any way to fix it? Maybe a hidden file responsible for this... Clearing cache / temp files / and restarting Media Encoder doesn't help. What could I do? So after saving .epr it will be 28.05 - when I check it out right away, but the actual youtube upload stuck with an old date 27.05 Thank you in advance, any tip will help
Hello,I have a bunch of XAVC S 4K 4:2:2 10 bit. Some in 24 fps, some 60 fps and some 120 fps. I want to transcode this material to Apple Pro Res 422. Well, I made a queue list with all my material and start my job. After 3 files my computer freezes. I was using Media Encoder version 14.5. Maybe the new version (15.2) works better with those files? No it does not. Tried another queue list and the computer freezes after the second clip. Then I made a test. Transcoded a couple o MXF from Canon C300 Mark III and a couple of R3D from Red. Works fine. The problem is make a queue with XAVC S 4k. Does anybody know why my queue list with XAC S 4k are not working? What am I doing? Transcoding one clip per time. Some large files (more than 3gb) Media Encoder freezes. For these large files I am doing it in Prelude. Am I missing something? What should I do? Is there a "right" worflow for queue my files in Media Encoder? Maybe is my computer. Built it last year and
As the title says, my computer seems to be crashing completely whenever I try rendering a video. Last week it would crash when rendering a 50 minute video so I thought it had been a memory issue, but now it seems to crash with videos as short as 3 minutes. The only solution I've found so far is to render in Software Only. Pretty sure my GPUs are fine though, I've updated them to the latest version recently. My computer has an Nvidia 1060 GTX GPU and Intel i7 CPU, in case anyone is interested in specs. Also, anyone know where I can render this externally, like a render farm for Premiere Pro projects? Need this urgently so I can finish a series of videos before the weekend ends.
Hello, My project is 16x9 1920x1080, widescreen letterboxed. (I crop 12% from top and bottom during editing, I know it's 'fake' but gotta fake it till you make it) The final export is for bluray disc, which is 1920x1080 Question:At the time of exporting in AME, should I crop the black bars off and export as 1920 x 820 to help save encoding and bitrate processing and then when I use the bluray software (AuthWorks6) it ads the black bars back on? H265 will allow the aspect ratio change to 1920x820 and make one video/audio file mp4 combo. Only one pass VBR. OR Just export the whole enchilada with the black bars using H264, then I can get dual pass. The original footage is SD, about 26 mbps. H265 only alows target max of 20mbps, where H264 allows a higher range to cover my footage. Whatcha think of all this? Thanks!Letty
