I get that Adobe needed a new code base, and that's great. However in improving the underlying code structure it added in every possible option for every eventuality. I know its best we are very specific and I applaud Adobe when they improve our workflow and our throughput speed. Productions has changed our lives. Re-frame, Brilliant! I Loved Remix in Audition and you IMPROVED the UI in Premiere with real time time feedback. Then I hit the new opening splash screen and the new Export screens - I feel I went from the autobahn to a potholed construction site. Specifically: 1. I feel the New Export screen expresses Adobes focus once again on defaulting to the social media market over working professionals. It feels like when RUSH came out with all that flurry ‘ Mobile! Mobile!’ ….( then seemed to have been mothballed ever since.) Please make ‘some’ accommodation for all of us who know what we are doing, (who might export to Vimeo, or occasionally YouTube but usually broadcast etc. ) who may or may not choose a preset, but always want to scan the settings before we pull the Trigger to export. 2. There’s no CANCEL button in the lower right where it should be. In an old Microsoft way you have to choose to go Back to EDIT. Is EDIT cancel? 3. Why full screen? 4. Yes, I use presets – but I ALWAYS check my preset settings as things DO change – and in a rush to hit a political network spot to get it to air- I can’t afford to have any surprises. The rolldowns especially from presets can easily hide checked flags – ( Timecode burn-in etc.) 5. When you are ready to encode for export – there should be nothing hidden below a roll down menu that can be hidden as you look at your review of all the settings. 6. I get that there is a whole world of social media pre-determined export settings- but I have never and will never use them. We have our own expertise in encoding and I’m sorry I trust mine over Adobes’. 7. MORE….You take over a full 34” 4K screen (in my case) and there is STILL MORE….?? So thank you for a better, more stable code base. Just don't make it so hard for us to do our job.
