Dreamweaver is crashing on startup - if there is any mouse activity before a file completely loads, the program crashes. For instance, Dreamweaver is open, I open an html file with Dreamweaver, and the files typically take a good 30 seconds or so to fully load and become workable. During this time, if I click while Dreamweaver is the active program, it will crash. Every time without exception. This also happens if Dreamweaver is in the background opening a file - for instance, if I tell a file to open with dreamweaver and in the interim, I switch to say Outlook deal with email - if Dreamweaver happens to open the file and automatically become the active program, any typing or clicking that I may have been doing in Outlook (or insert program here) is suddenly happening in Dreamweaver because it auto activates. So, any mouse interaction while Dreamweaver is loading causes a crash. Surely this isn't working as intended. When I click "send report", I get a message that states something along the lines of "there is a solution to this error", and a "read more" type link, however, when that link is clicked, it just goes to the adobe or Dreamweaver general web page, no specific page detailing the issue or solution.

Why isn't a solution found by Adobe? Instead we get all of these random workarounds that may or may not be the culprit. I don't understand how that is a way to do business, especially with an error that has persisted for over four years now. some of those "solutions" are things like make sure path to file isn't too long, no special character (including a space) in file name, etc. If these were things not permitted by the software generally, I get it, but that is not the case, so why would those things cause these errors? And for this long with no resolution. This software is kind of a joke these days.

18.1.0 Win 10, i7-10750 2.6ghz, 16gb RAM. How would system specs give insight to what looks like a file handling error? Not sure I want to reset references at this point - unless that is known to solve this particular problem.

Receiving this error. All .ai files are RGB. No special characters in file title. Seems like it does it for every .ai file layer, so I have to click this off about 120 times every time I open this.

This codec doesn't work. I just downloaded it and it installs automatically on a Windows 10 PC. Photoshop will still not open an .heic file. Read the reviews for the codec, people overwhelmingly not the same thing in their reviews, the codec doesn't work. So, this is not the "correct answer".

Open Illustrator, select Create New, new box pops up with print, web, mobile, etc. preset options - when I select the "print" option, the units are in points, how can I save this preset to display in inches? Selecting inches in "general" preferences does not fix this.

Thank you. I was not even aware of that option, so I don't know how that would've been turned on. That did fix it, but I'm curious why only the box element of that nested comp wouldn't transform yet the gear and the text would.

The 1st screenshot is the box in question, outlined in red. There is nothing complex going on here, it simply has a few keyframes for the opacity change. The 2nd screenshot is the pre-comp itself that houses this box (outlined in red), again, nothing crazy here simply keyframes for scaling and opacity. There are no other keyframes down the line, the only ones that exist for this item are what you see. It's not a hardware acceleration issue, the file exports this way. I have no crazy combination of layer switches, blending modes or effects either, the only things applied are the things you see in the screenshots. I don't know what other information would be helpful.

I have a pre-comp that consists of three layers. When I set keyframes and adjust the opacity of this pre-comp as a whole from 100 to 0, one layer refuses to transition. It is visiable at the 100 mark, does not "fade", but goes blank at the 0 mark. The other layers follow the opacity transition and fade from 100 to 0. There are no other opacity keyframes on the timeline for this precomp. First time I've ever seen this happen, what could be causing this? I'm attaching an image, you will see my marker is between the 100 and 0 opacity keyframes (the very bottom layer), and you'll see the gear graphic and the word "prosecution" fading, yet the red box remains at 100%.

How can I set that as default? I, unlike many others, got used to the proportional scaling without having to push shift, now they've reverted it back it seems. I don't have legacy checked, yet every file I open I must use shift to scale proportionately. Your suggestion here works, but it resets back with each new file, I'd like for it to be default.

Still happening for me. Opening an older document, clicking to edit text, clicking the text tool in a NEW document, etc. Hangs constantly, nearly every time I have it open.

I have many Premiere Pro files with the .prproj extension. My files all have adobe acrobat icons next to them. When I right click and go to "open with" - browse to the Premiere Pro executable and select it, nothing happens. Nothing changes. The only "recommended program" in the list is STILL adobe acrobat. I've done this numerous times to no avail. Why aren't PremierePro files associating with the program itself, and why do the above mentioned actions not work? Working on a Windows 7 PC using Premiere Pro CC 2018.

Now have to go back on this - 2015 is still laggy and not responding. Looked like the issue was cleared up earlier in the week with the update, but back to 2-3 second delay when doing something as simple as selecting a layer.

I'm on a Windows 7 machine, just updated to the latest release this morning, same lag exists. For example, I click on a layer, it takes 2-5 seconds for the layer to actually be selected. That explains my overall experience with Photoshop at the moment. Very frustrating.
