Well, well. over a year later.... out of the blue, "unspecified drawing error."  Win 10, multi camera (4).,( premiere cc 2018, "Ver 12.1, Kentos).. found this thread ... went to "..audio units;" it was unchecked, so checked it and problem disappeared. Unchecked it again, no problem.  Hopefully OK. Thank you very much people; without this thread, I probably would still be worried (altho nothing seemed to happen other than the message). A personal note. I have been at this with Adobe for a very long time (started when it was at the bottom of the status heap), but really am not proficient at it because of the lack of time (and getting old); problems get solved like above, often by "chance."  "Dr." Simon has always been a good help, if sometimes a little harsh. What is bothering me now to the extent that I would probably quit if something better came along, is the video-card problem. It is a PIA with my muti camera; I assumed bec of its antiquated nature; but if I read the threads correctly it is so deeply embedded in the Adobe system, that spending $$ that I don't have won't help. Thanks for the replies.  In my situation, the audio alone and video-audio are recorded at different times, even at different places. The reason for this is that the narrator is much more spontaneous when he is just recording speech than when the is being video taped.. I am thinking that they must do this in professional situations and have developed some relatively efficient system. It's certainly possible to do it "manually;" I did a test of about  20 seconds and it came out well.  Maybe one improves with practice. ... View more

I have a primitive system and mutli cam constantly freezes.  Recently, it crashed, and the recovery project worked like magic -- for a while, then freezing again.  If I wait for a minute or so, it unfreezes, and performs well for a while, then, same thing... If you are the John Smith that I recognize from a long time ago, then you must be getting near my age (I have stopped aging).   I tried to work out the solution you suggested, but quickly became confused (you just wait!), and gave up.  So I think I'll just bite the bullet and convert all of these "mpg wrapper files" to mp4, (whatever that is), because they work perfectly.  (There was some discussion some years ago on the forum about Encore working best with "mp4," and that seems to be the case for my problems.)
