It seems there is a common problem with the latest Premiere versions, often the sequences will be produced using a 'Broadcast' template. These have a 4 channel master rather than just stereo with some of the timeline audio tracks routed to outputs 3 and 4, in a normal harware setup these tracks will not be heard. A quick look at the track mixer will show if this is causing the problems.

You could change the sequence framerate to its maximum ( I think 60fps) while editing the audio, that will make your frames smaller. Then switch back to normal when you have finished.

I always put a layer of black on V1 for the total length of the video with the WAB set to match. This makes sure when exporting video and audio separately that they match. I often use black if I want a fade to black on a stacked video sequence. I could use a colour matte but using black makes sure it is black and not slightly grey.

I'm sure there are many ways to do this. I would duplicate the background and put it on a track above the the titles but below the logo. I would then add the linear wipe video effect to this new background track and adjust it's position and feather to line up with the bottom of the logo.

I would unlink the audio from the video. Switch to audio time units, this will let you edit to less than a frame. Zoom in on the audio timeline, you could then see which part of the waveform is causing the issue. Put a cut in the audio at the edit point and also a cut at the start and end of the word, this will stop the rest of the audio track moving when you cut out the unwanted section.

You have your sequence setup as a 4 channel multitrack. Tracks 3 and 4 are going to outputs 3 and 4 which is why you are not hearing anything. You also have tracks 1 and 2 panned hard left and right.. Start a new stereo sequence and copy and paste your footage to the new sequence, If needed pan your tracks to the centre.

If I remember correctly pressing the 'alt' key will let you drag just one side. If you only get the crossfade on one side of an edit you might not have long enough handles or there might be a short gap between the clips.

If your Audio is stereo split into mono tracks the clips will show L and R. If the Audio is multitrack split into mono the clips will show the track number. You can change clip colour either for the whole project using this option in the preferences: Or you can change individual clips by right clicking and choosing label:
