I just purchased 27" iMac / 3.6Ghz 8core / 1GB SSD / 72GB Ram / Radeon Pro Vega 8GB. Have installed Adobe CC 2020 Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, After Effects, etc. Have noticed slow or lag repsonses in PS, AI, AE. Things I never saw on my 2011 iMac with CC 2018 and earlier. Also, simple things like moving objects and slow response. • Photoshop - create a new file and work area displays empty space - like I didn't create a new project. I click in the empty space and the white canvas finally appears. Change brush type, then use the keyboard short cuts to size brush up/down but PS will not respond to keyboard shortcuts until I click on the canvas then keyboard short cuts will work. Open a second image tab and it displays the image from the first tab. Click back and forth between tabs and will only display the first tab's image. Have to restart app. • After Effects - I click and drag mouse to select several keyframes. Drag across the key frames and nothing selects for 2-3 seconds. Drag a clip on the timeline and it takes 2-3 seconds before the clip moves. This lag doesnt happen everytime in AE maybe every 3rd-4th time I do it. • Illustrator - drag around a few anchor points to select and it take 2-3 sec to select them, Not everytime but every 3rd-4th time. I haven't used the other apps as much so I'm not sure how they will behave. But the 3 I have used are all acting up. These are simple actions that should be instant. I never had issue on my older, slow iMac with Sierra. I would like to install older versions of the apps but Creative Cloud won't let me download multiple copies of their app. It seems if I download an older version I have to unistall the new version. I am in the middle of a big AE project and do not want to unistall AE 2020 to try and open the file in an older version of AE. I have searched forum but havent found a post that matches what I am talking about. But, I have found a lot of post about slow performance in CC 2020.
