After Effects

I'm new to after effects, I'm currently using the 2020 versionWhen I see the preview of my video, it gets slow, and a warning "not playing in real-time" appears, the information in my video turns red, (ram, fps, etc.) and my preview bugs. The problem intensifies even more when I apply a CC or text preset. This happens in all my projects. My computer is in perfect condition, and I have made enough RAM available for my after effects. I already reset the settings and nothing works.I ask for help, please. This problem doesn't let me carry out my projects in after effects.

Hi, when I working with AE an cinema 4D, I get this error when I launch AE and create layer MAXON CINEMA 4D File… How can I fix it?  Versions:AE 17.0.5,C4D R21.115,Mac OS Catalina 10.15.3

I was given a gradients to import into my Library but I can't really utilize them inside of After Effects. There doesn't seem to be any way to apply them and it says they aren't supported.  This seems irrational when it's just two hex codes on a linear gradient.When I look into the info of the gradient, I can't even copy and paste the hex codes to apply them myself and instead I have to type every single one by eye. Am I missing something or what the gradient not setup correctly?

This is probably very simple but I am having trouble writing fractions in After Effects.  I have some titles for this project that require me to write numbers as fractions.  I have no problems with ½, ¼, ¾ but I am specifically trying to type ⅓ and ⅜ and when I paste these fractions into my text layer in AE, the text goes blank.  I know text is being pasted into my layer because I can select it and change it but I can't see anything.  I'm pasting these fractrions from https://lights0123.com/fractions/ Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,Lately, it's been a real pain working with After Effects. Most of my time is spent restarting my computer because every time I open my project and try to preview it by pressing the spacebar, this happens: I move back by one frame, and the animation doesn't play. I know this is a common bug (the oldest post about this issue is 7 years old).So, as suggested 7 YEARS ago, I changed my audio hardware settings in the preferences. For your information, I'm using my laptop, which only has an SSD plugged in — no headphones, no HDMI monitor, just a basic laptop with an SSD. Perfect. Now, the preview is working, and the animation plays, but wait... there’s no sound!That's odd. I am an avid Adobe products user. However, in the past year and a half, I have had countless problems with After Effects on my computer, and nothing seems to be working to make the program stable. I have spoken to at least 7 different agents about my issues, both on the phone and in the virtual chat on the official Adobe website, and nothing seems to resolve the problem I am facing. I am operating the software on a Macbook Pro 2019 with (updated) MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2 with 16GB RAM. I have operated After Effects 2023, After Effects 2024 and After Effects 2025, and all three of those versions on my computer continuously crash at random times. I can't seem to get grow bounds to work these days. I might have done something? or is anyone else having this bug?using 24.1.0Windows

In this example below; what I'm trying to accomplish is the yellow triangle to follow the end of the text as it animates in. I've scowered the internet for answers but haven't found anything trying to do this. As the text animation builds each character in, I want the triangle to follow the text until the end. 

Color of content aware fill reference frame got darker after I created it. Does anyone know what cause this problem? 

Trying it now. One thing that isn't working: when I click "Create Reference Frame" I get this error: "...cannot locate an application to open 00.psd." See screen capture of error below...Photoshop is installed. All Adobe apps are updated. PC has been restarted since updating.

Hi, I'm looking to create videos like the one linked below. I plan on using Blender then adding text and other elements in after effects. Looking at the video, would anyone have any suggestions for the best way of doing this? Could it all just be done in Blender or is it best to use both programs. Been using 2025 ae for few months, but sedenly the keyframe assistant missing easy ease, ease in & ease out selection, anyone facing the same problem?
