After Effects

I'm trying to import a .fla file from Adobe Animate into Adobe After Effects. Either when using Import / File or drag and drop, AE freezes for a moment, then a progress bar appears, and finally an error message reading "An error occurred while importing this file. Please try again." Currently using Animate 20.0.2 & After Effects 17.0.4 (build 59) I've tried using my file and a couple example .fla files from the Adobe site, and the same error occurs.

Hello there!So when setting the color science to ACES Studio 1.3 and setting the display color transform to Nonegoing to rotobrush editing results in a freezed frame and RGB GPU-like Glitches happening when you switch back and forth between views and frames. but the freezed frame is remain the same as was the first you entered in that layer view for rotobrushingalso everything same happens when you enter layer view doing a 2d tracking so you have to switch to any display colorspace to view the footage properlysteps to reproduce are 1) change colorspace to aces 1.3 studio, set display color to none2) add footage to the comp choose rotobrush tool, double click the footage3) try zooming in zooming out the frame in the layer view -- sometimes it is just black at certain resolutionstry changing to display color space to anything but none 

I'm creating an AE/PPro plugin using the AE SDK. I'd like to have a small "branding" image at the top of the params in the effect control window (ECW). I've got some code working, based on the Custom_ECW_UI sample, but I'd like to not have the twirly at all -- just a non-closeable banner image. Here you can see my banner (the black rect) has a twirly and a reset control above it. Any way to hide those? 

I'd like to attach all of these shapes to this moving white line. Any help would be appreciated! The green one you see attached I did with Trace Paths. But it doesn't work for multiple objects. Thank you in advance.  

Hey! I'm currenly doing quite a lot of retouch work which involves using a lots of still patches on tracked videos. These patches often slightly change colour during the shot so to balance out the change of colours I use rgb curves and animate those. The problem is that in-between different curves keyframes, the curves stop using the normal point mode and use the "pen mode" thing. This pen tool is completely useless, I don't think anyone would ever make curves by drawing them... I feel like this might be a super old AE features which is still there for some reason. You can toggle to the other point tool, but it creates a bunch of random points on the curves. What i would like is for the actual points that are inserted in the curves to be animated, kind of like an animated mask. The way AE is handling the interpolation between keyframes on the curves effect creates all sorts of weird in-between and it makes it difficult to add additional keyframes in-between animation. Below y

Hello! I used the effect wave warp and want to adjust the speed with keyframes, it should slowly move faster. When I set keyframes on the speed with the stop watch, they are squares and they jump abruptly, not slowly increasing. I found this Keyframe interpolation in After Effects but it didn't work. In the interpolation dialog box everything is greyed out except "hold", and in the graph editor, I only get a warning pop up "no valid interpolation method" and then AE completely crashes. I hope someone can help.

I started getting this error after importing multiple AE projects into a single AE project.  Restart solved it for me.

when rendering out a simple tex frame with a guidelayer turned on a "ghost of that gude layer is rendered in the frame. turning off the guid layer resolves the issue producing a clean alpha. color spacs in srgb going into Avid and Premiere. as a side note. pro res files continue to not render alpha correctly from After effects, but do though media encoder.

Hi, I'm new and i'm using After Effects for a project. I need to create a rounded rectangle and stretch it only on the y-axis. By scaling only the y, the angles change as they lengthen. How can I keep them from dafault?Thanks for the help

So whenever I do replace a 3-5secs clip to after effects composition. The first few clips are okay, but it's always the last clip usually that turns black. Any workarounds? It happens to any format videos though! I usually just export the clip and do the replacement inside after effects. But not this time, I must have the video clip from premiere pro directly since I'm testing an effect. It's been frustrating!  

After latest round of updates for AE seems that when I hit preview (spacebar) render happens but then just drops out of continuing the render and plays, and I have to hit spacebar again for it to continue to render the full work area. Anyone else having this issue?

Hey guys! I am not able to desqeeze any anamorphic footages in AE 2024, But when I try to do it in AE 2023, It's working there! Is this some sort of bug in AE2024? Please let me know!

Hi, We use extendscript to composite thumbnails, and we're finding that there are odd failures where the text randomly has odd casing. We can confirm that the whole Text Area actually has the correct Font and Text Parameters set on it, but for some reason that this could be happening? We're overwriting the text that exists previously, but it's very odd.  If we re-run it again, it won't happen again.

Hello,  I have a bug with after effect  I want to animate a mask in a photo when i animate this, i have all around the mask a line apears The same with vidéo or solid  1- i create a solid    2- i create a mask and animate this   3- i duplicate the layer and i put the mask on "soustraction"  4-then i look a line , (this is black beacause is the back, )  I need your help, i do everything,  delete the app, delete the cache Can u help me ?  My computer, is very good for do this, 64GB, GTX 3070, Intel 9

Hi,I ran into this problem where my animation presets that contain expressions load with errors because the expression control layers are loading with default names, not the custom names I have assigned to them.It appears the custom names are not being saved in the animation preset thus breaking all the expressions.Is this a known bug? It is extremely unfortunate that I need to make this post. I have done EVERYTHING imaginable and recommended to fix my issue yet it still persists. I cannot drag files from the project pane into my timeline. This issue occurs with all file types. I have removed and disabled all of my plugins. I have installed and reinstalled after effects. I have reset my workspace. I have installed the most recent NVIDIA GPU studio driver. My after effects is up to date! I cannot believe that an application I have been using since 2016 is virtually unusable. This is really disappointing to me. Adobe may lose a long-term subscriber. 

everything plays normal in after effects, but when I export it out and view it on mp4 my video are in slow motion, but the time duration are the same. how do i fix this? i've tried different codec and the export resolution and the fps are the same as the composition.

Hello everyone,I have my project settings set to "sRGB IEC6..."Whenever I import a quciktime mov or mp4 video file it will assign a "rec.709 gamma 2.4" profile ion the color management. I have to manually go into the import settings of each file and re-assign the sRGB profile.how can i tell after effects that all imported video files will have the srgb profile by default? My research showed me that AE should automatically assign the working space color of the project (which is sRGB) but it doesnt... Does anyone have an idea where to make imported color space for footage back to sRGB by default? THANKS

When trying to import .mov files to After Effects CC 2020, I get the following error:   After Effects error: Could not open source file. Please check that file exists with correct permissions. (86 :: 1)  This is then followed by: After Effects error: file 'filename.mov' cannot be imported - this 'MooV' file is damaged or unsupported. I am using After Effects 2020 v 17.1.3My OS is: macOS Catalina v 10.15.6My QuickTime version is: 10.5 I have seen windows users who don't have QuickTime installed run into similiar issues remedy it by downloading QuickTime. As I have QuickTime installed, this doesn't work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled QuickTime and AE, both to no avail. I also downgraded to the previous version of a AE which gave me the same error. Moving the files to the desktop, renaming them and moving them back to their original folder seemed to work for other people who have encountered this problem, but not for me.  The files in

I have encountered on my mac computer a problem with green screen flickering. I tried reinstallation, empty memory cache and preferences. Its anoying since when i want to render this material it is all black no matter if I render it with ae or media encoder. Please help!
