After Effects

Several of my team mates have encountered an issue with After Effects ignoring the cache limit and if you don't empty the cashe it will keep filling until the hard disk is completely full and things start going wrong. We have all encountered this issue at different times and as soon as it starts doing it, it doesn't stop. So we are all having to clear the cache at every opportunity to make sure it doesn't break anything. Does anyone have a solution? I couldn't find anything about this issue on my web searches.

For some reason when i move the layer higher a part of the stroke disappears (same when i create a new one) what do i do to fix that?

This is offered for download in the Admin Console. After uninstalling them trough the "Uninstall" button by rightclicking the msi, I found Maxon Cinema 4D still sitting on my PC without even knowing it was installed with the rest of the Adobe apps before, since it's not listed in "Applications included" in the Admin Console. This is very cheeky and in my eyes very unprofessional, and I just wanted to leave this here! I have now the problem that I should be able to silent uninstall all Adobe apps for use in SCCM but I just can't, since I don't think I'm able to uninstall Maxon with the command line. Hi, I am having an issue with AE 24, windows 11.My task manager is filled with aerender.exe they are not closing automatically even though the job is done without error.

Doing the basic tutorial in AE 18.0.0.Get to the section where I'm supposed to shorten one of the layers by clicking on the right end of the layer and dragging it leftward. Super familiar with this in Premiere Pro.Using the selection tool (v), I select a layer. Then I hover over the right end of any of that layer and nothing indicates I can effect the bar.Trying to click on the right end of the bar does nothing. The two-way arrow blinks on and off and disappears. Likewise trying to click/drag the left end of any of the bars.The comp is 1 frame long. I tried several commands for zooming in and out on the timeline though it's not like premiere where you could zoom out and see the empty end of the timeline.I also changed the length of the comp to ten frames; no help.I used the ~ key make the timeline panel fill the screen.Is this a bug? I'm following the tutorial meticulously.Thanks in advance.Doug

So im having this weird "bug" or whatever it is. When im putting my resolution to "Full" and preview my animations, the program crashes. The same happens if i try to Render my composition. It feels like if my PC has to work "hard" it crashes? Its a brand new computer with the following specs:- 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900KF 3.00 GHz- 64,0 GB RAM- RTX 4090- 850W Power Supply- 2TB NVMe SSD- Asus Z790-A Prime Motherboard I've updated every driver, deleted cache multiple times, reinstalled After Effects, tried to turn hardware acceleration off. Hi All, Grateful for any help on the bellow please. I can't get my text to change color using a variable reference. I have tried to convert a variable which comes from another comp and text frame into something that setFillColor on a text source will accept. It keeps saying 'bad argument'. I have tried with hex values and rgb values in various formats. I created a camera for layers in 3d and according to the tutorial you are supposed to see the camera and the guide lines for the angle but it's not there, how can i make it appear so that i can move it etc? 

I just got a new computer but I'm having issues with After Effects CC 2020. When i open it and try to create a new composition my computer freezes and restarts. I found someone having a similar problem and the solution said to uninstall "Intel Turbo Max Boost Technology" but i couldn't find the program installed on my computer. Is there a way to auto scale each row of text so that it aligns on both the left and right side? Ideal would be if every row of text is seperated with a line break so that I can choose the amount of text on each row.Is it possible to connect the width of each row to the Paragraph Text Bounding box?Is it possible to change the leading of each row with a expression slider?

This question comes up quite a bit on forums and it seems to trip people up: "how can you have a loop expression (either LoopIn or LoopOut) and then end the loop so that your animation continues on its way"? Or put another way: "How do you break out of a loop in After Effects?"   Well there's not one answer, there's at least 4 depending how you count it, or possibly 5 or maybe 6 if you're being generous. Is there a Generative AI plugin for After Effects that can create graphics with motion in the same way that Photoshop can create Generative AI still images? I am interested in creating backgrounds that look like the interior of some aquariums, but the ones I made took a ton of time, and I am looking for the quickest way to make a bunch more aquarium animated backgrounds. 

I appreciate the power of the new Essential Graphics, but I really miss the older simpler 'Live Text Templates.' With EGs, I don't see any way to edit existing MOGRTs. This is very annoying. Say I use a MOGRT hundreds of times in a Premiere sequence ... then decide I want to change something. AFAIK, I have to manually re-export from Ae, there's no way to replace the existing MOGRT, because Pr creates its own "local" copy of the original, so I have to manually replace every instance of the graphic in my timeline. With the old Text Templates, I could simply drag a Comp from Ae to Pr, change text, and make changes in Ae which would instantly reflect in Pr. I really miss this. I tried "Reveal in Finder" on the MOGRT from Pr, which locates an .aegraphic file, which is actually a ZIP file, which if you rename and add .zip, and then uncompress, will give you a folder with an .aep of your graphic. I’ve been trying to align animations using guide rulers I’ve added, but I’m encountering an issue. When I hover the pen tool over the guideline ruler, it won’t snap or draw on top of the line or intersection, it just changes to the adjustment tool briefly which doesnt allow me to draw. I suspect I might be doing something wrong. Is there a better workaround besides using the default gridlines

I want to have the 3D glow projected only onto the big sine wave? When I mask the 3D glow to be where I want it collapses back to 2DThe glow looks great in 3D (see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIy0PdzTlKU&ab_channel=123string4) but I only want glows to be shining from the vertical spikes and projecting straight onto the sine waves. Is there any way to do this?

Hello Everyone... Am having the following issue: I am trying to RAM Preview OCIO Managed project .exr sequence and it would never preview Real Time! Tryied using  lower resolution with no result. The only way i can RAM preview real time is when i switch to Adobe Managed.I am behind an i9-10850K, 64gb Ram, 8 gb 3070 RTX. Everything runs on NVMes (Seperate one for Cache)My monitor refresh rate is 144hz, tryied lower that to 59,9 with no luck. Any ideas???  

Help me with expression... I have comp “ONE”, there in layer “TWO” comp with animation (10 sec).I need that when animated, from right to left, comp “TWO” crosses comp “ONE” in the middle, in comp “TWO” starts animation from the first frame (before the intersection, the animation should be frozen on the 1st frame).I need this expression as property layer “TWO” - Time remap.Thanks.

My after effects 2024(also on 2023) crash on startup.I try reset preferences, and delete AppData's ae folder are not works.It can only startup on safe mode.The same issues on Media Encoder/au 2023 & 2024.Please check the screencap for the pc's spec and those app crash report. This laptop can run AE 2022 smooth but it just removed on last update and cannot download anymore..If can't fix those issues, please can someone give me the installer for 2022 version? Thanks.
