After Effects

I am sure you are well aware of the following problem, but I could not find a solution online and it does not seem to be fixed? When working with Arri Alexa Mini LF footage (ProRes/.mxf) there is a color shift when exporting in ProRes 4444 (trillions). I used the official sample footage from Arri: https://webgate.io/directlink/b043cddb9c4658e0 Clip: F003C003_190925_MN99.mxf I tried everything, different software versions, hardware accelerated decoding on/off, different computers, depth, premultiplied/straight... There seems to be a slightly different problem with Premiere as well. I think it might be a problem with how the file is interpreted by AE because it seems to help to re-encode in ProRes 4444 with DaVinci first. Also AE shows the file as millions of colors (if I understood correctly that means 8bit) what would be wrong in that case. The Arri Alexa series might be the most important cameras right now and it would be really important to hav

I have a project that I will be exporting to a MOGRT and will be adding a CSV to the EG panel so users can switch it out. I need to set it up intitally with the maximum number of rows and columns from the CSV file, but am experiencing some issues. I can successfully add any CSV file to the project and to the comp. However, when I add certain CSVs to the EG panel (from the comp > Data properties) After Effects crashes. For example, CSVs with 10 rows and 15 columns work, although it takes a little while for AE to parse all the data. A CSV with 24 rows and 25 columns crashes. AE freezes while it appears to be parsing but then the Windows waiting spinning blue circle appears. I've left it for a good ten minutes but it never recovers. So, is there a limit to the amount of rows and columns AE can parse in a CSV when you add it to the EG panel?

Hello, Got a challenge if anyone can help. I don't know anything about After Effects, I mean zero, but have recently been learning through tuts. I want to create a looping animation for four arrows for the logo design I created. It is for a HVAC company and the concept is circulating air in a rectangle shape with rounded corners. (Design attached). I have found a couple tuts that kinda do what I want but not really, all involving trim paths. I just don't think trim paths is the way to go. Probably wrong. In the first video, at 6:44, was promising but the arrrow contorts when it rounds the corners of the rectangle on my logo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=748l7DIU4bQ In the second video, this guy has just the arrow head doing what I want it to do. It involves a shape on a path. Hallo, folgendes Problem:Ich habe in Adobe Illustrator Vektoren gezeichnet/erstellt, diese dann in After Effects hochgeladen und animiert und dann das Video mit der Vorgehensweise gespeichert: Komposition-> Zu Adobe Media Encorder.. hinzufügen -> als H264 (Mp4) herunterladen. Meine Komposition hatte die Einstellung 1920x1080p mit 30 fps gehabt , nachdem ersten Download war ich mit der Qualität unzufrieden und ich habe es sogar mit 4K und 30/60 fps getestet, aber leider ist die Mp4 Datei/das Video nach dem Speichern trotzdem nicht scharf genug, obwohl die Qualität des Video sin meiner Komposition schon echt scharf und gut ist. Wie soll ich mein Video sonst speichern?

Wenn ich mit dem Roto-Pinsel-Werkzeug in einem Frame etwas bearbeite, rendert es dies auf alle nachfolgenden Frames auch drauf. So macht es aber auch fortschritte wieder kaputt, die ich zuvor gemacht habe. Kann ich diese Funktion ausschalten, sodass das Werkzeug bei Benutzung nurnoch diesen einen Frame verändert und nicht alles darauf folgende?

I get this error when launching AE: After Effects error: Crash in progress. Last logged message was: <24820> <DynamicLink> <5> Increase wait time to 2 The program previously worked just yesterday but today I can't even open it. The application crashes before I even have an option to "Reset Preferences" or "Start in Safe Mode." I have uninstalled and re-installed, restarted computer, and updated GPU drivers, but to no avail. Hi, I'm trying to use text with ligatures in After Effects, but it doesn't work. I have checked the box that says "Ligatures" in the Character Panel. I'm using the font FFF Acid Grotesk, that shows ligatures when used in Photoshop and other software. Copying + pasting the glyph from Photoshop into AE does not work. Any ideas? AE version 23.0 (Build 59)macOS Ventura 13.2.1

hello! i just downloaded ae again in my new laptop and added a new sapphire plugin. i was about to edit and i decided to use one of my presets that included the effect s_shake, but it lightly glitches everytime i activate the motion blur effect.  However it only does when i use a preset. I've tried recreating the preset through the effect panel but it still did not work. Please help! 😭🫶🏼

Hi all:Apologies if this is a super simple question. I just haven't been able to find an answer in the forums or on the web.Taking on a project from another studio and we're trying to figure out all the missing files and relinking them. One of the issues I'm having is that I can't seem to right click on the File Path column to copy the file path. We're sending the paths to the previous studio by email to request the missing media.Is there another way to copy the file paths? Or even better, to batch get all the missing file paths?We're currently using After Effects 2015.ThanksM

Hi, I recently began working on my home computer (A Windows PC) and have been using files I formerly worked on in the office (on a Mac). When openning AE files with Photoshop documents embedded in them, I'm getting the error "Photoshop Library operation failed" once for each layer in the file, and then all fail to load, and connot be relinked. I have no idea what's going on, as the files open perfectly fine on the Mac at my office and I believe both machines are running the same versions. Google hasn't been helpful, and I don't know what else to try. I have tried: alloting more space for both disk chache and memory, reinstalling after effetcs, and installing and older version of  AE (17.5.1), all to no avail.Help?

Is it possible to install al older version of After Effects on Mac iOS 10.15.7? The button for older versions is not available in the Adobe app

I had an earlier post about this where I said I had been having issues with Roto Brush not working and I thought I fixed it because it then worked for that clip.
