After Effects

I'm installing a new PC (windows Pro 10) and I can't find the last version of CS6, which is 11.0.4. I need this for my plugins to work properly. Adobe is flatly refusing to help me with this. Can anyone help me with a link or download? That would be so awesome! Thanks! Hans

Within after effects I realized if I select the clone brush the GUI toolbox panel for the brushes is disabled not allowing to change the size unless I first select the brush tool select brush size then return to clone brush tool then the brush panel is enabled allowing for adjustments. I just feel it should allow be to use the brush size area in clone stamp tool without moving into brush tool first. Hopefully this was useful. Thank you! 

I just ran into a big problem after I pre-composed my vector PDF map even though all layers have "always rasterize" checked in the original comp.I don't understand because my composition window is NOT more than 100% zoomed in . Here's the original comp:The problem is that when I pre-compose, my map becomes pixelated when I zoom in. If I click "always rasterize" for the pre-comp, it disables being able to zoom in on it in 3D.

Is there a way to connect the map from Geolayers 3 to the end of a line in Trim Paths? I want the map to follow the line as it's being drawn, and I want the line's end to be in the center of the composition each time. I haven't been able to find any information on this. Is it even possible?

Hello. I have a problem with opening After Effects. I reinstalled, nothing helps. It says that some files were not found. MSVCP140D.dll       VCRUNTIME140_1D.dl       VCRUNTIME140D.dl      ucrtbased.dll

Everytime I run Auto Color Temporal Smoothing I receive two pop up windows about halfway through the process. 1. Internal Verification Failure, sorry! (MCCompute unexpected stuff of wrong type. corrupt cache??) 2. Error: Auto Color (3).  (25 :: 60). How do I fix the issue. 

Hi. I can't start AE, it gives me this error every time I start it. After I click OK, it gives me error "After Effrects Error: Cannot unlock an unlocked list.", than the AE crashes, and it gives me a windows popup that says "After Effects can't continue: unexpected failure during applicartion startup".I've tried to reinstall few times, to uninstall fonts, that may cause the error, but it didn't helped.I am using the en-us version.Please, help me.

Need different Rect Boundary visual indicator to differentiate between Point & Paragraph Text Layers.As more AE users dive deep into Text Layer Scripting & Expressions, it'll be good to be able to select a Text Layer and immediately be able to tell if it's a Point/Paragraph Text Layer. My suggestion is to keep Solid Tiny Square for Point Text and Tiny Outlined Square for Paragraph Text. This has the added benefit of being a visual indicator since the Paragraph Text's visible Rect Boundary, when selected, isn't representative of its actual (extents) Rect Boundary which only becomes visible when a Paragraph Layer's content (Text Edit Area) becomes active.I'm calling it a Design Bug because I'm desperate to see this worked out.  😄In the 1960s, the current construct would have been OK but with current workings, this is a pain that hits users many, many times each day.    

Everytime I render a video from After Effects, I have to restart it multiple times after clearing MORE and MORE space off my machine because Aftter Effects has 'run out of memory'.I shouldn't need over 300gb to render a 30second clip! I render from AE to .avi and then I compress using Media Encoder to .mp4 but why does After Effects make exports so HUGE? Theres minimal layer minimal effects and its only 30 seconds but the render is over 300GB. I dont want to render directly to media encoder because the quality drops.What is the best way to render?Most of my content is for internet so 1080p or 4K.Should I just fully switch to fusion? And finally get rid of Adobe?Let me know!Thankyou

I've imported an Illustrator file into After Effects as a Composition with Layer Sizes Retained. There are 4 separate layers, but one layer is cut off slightly. The layer is entirely inside the artboard. In fact, it's inside another layer that is not cutoff. When I isolate the footage layer, the comp size is too small, but I have no idea why. I'm using:After Effects Version 24.6.0Illustrator 28.6iMac OS Sonoma 14.6.1

I've been wracking my brains trying to understand what the issue is. I have a vector map of Russia done in Adobe Illustrator. I enabled Illustrator's Transparency Grid to highlight the problem. I have transparent areas for the lakes. But these lakes show up as opaque when my Russia layer is imported from Illustrator to After Effects via the Overlord plugin.Thank you in advance to anyone who can help me solve this mystery.  

recently, i downloaded a project file but i cannot open it. it will crash everytime i try to open that project file. I tried to open a project and import but it crashed without any crash announcementI can open other aep file normally without crash except that filecan someone help me with this?

Hello. Im trying to turn on the 3D mode for some layers in the composition and After Effects crashes every time I do that. Ive tried:- to do it simultaneously for all the layers - crash- do one by one - crash- create a new project (thought maybe a project issue) - crash- clean cache and memory - crashLaptop characteristics: 16GB RAM, RTX3060ti, 476GB SSD. I think it is enough for such a simple animation.

Hello!I am trying to create the reveal logo effect - I use auto trace to trace the logo and then apply the generate stroke effect and it works perfectly. However the logo turns out white and in the original image it has two colors. How can I keep the colours using this method. Can I keep the colours of the original image when I use auto tracing or can I fill them somehow?Thanks!

I'm building some After Dffects projects on both Mac and Win machines.  It seems that after closing and re-opening the Windows project (might've been a crash, can't recall) I can an alert that the "Color Control" effect was missing. I am using it in this project. Seems a bit baffling since this is built into AE. Before anyone suggests re-installing AE (which is not the solution I'm looking for) I would love if someone (perhaps someone from Adobe!) could explain this and how I can get this back.

Hey thereI'm working on a project supplied by another designer and it's using CC Cylinder, I'm getting constant crashes, A bit of background he had tiled it by using about 20 layers, to work around this I just rendered out one and brought that back into the project, but now even trying to render one is causing crashing 

AE 2024 crashes when saving project I have tried below mentioned things..1- Update After Effect2- Re Installed AE3- Update GPU driverPlz suggest any other sulution. 

Can anyone make a tutorial on how to make this lyrics effect on the fretboard part of the guitar?

Hello,I'm new to after effects but I have looked on so many sites and videos but there is no answer to my question. Please help!I'm currently working in After Effects, I have imported an illustrator file (all divided clearly into layers). Each layer in the Ai file has a vector path of a clover with a stroke of 5 - it is not a closed shape/path. I have brought the layers into my composition in After Effects successfully and now I would like to convert the shapes from my vector layers so that I can animate the path. BUT:My trouble is that when I "right click > create > create shapes from vector layer" (with my vector layer selected in after effects), my vector path is automatically outlined so instead of a path, I get an outlined stroke (filled shape). See image below. It's holding me up from finishing this project and starting others.How can I have the path remain a path so that I can edit it as a path in after effects?

So I bought red giants suite to test it's vfx suite and all I have have encountered is bugs. Not sure is the reason AE or RG.So I've been keying a lot and now I used primatte keyer in RG suite but it seems that it is the reason why I have the bug tho, at some point of the edit I get black screen and this happens when exporting too, tried multiple codecs, colors spaces, bits and everything and it just keeps happening. I'm working on a work gig and this is frustrating. I'm going to  upload a quick test I made where the bug happens in render. I have a core matte on the face so don't get distracted by it, otherwise the screen would be black.

Hey, I have a extension what I want to add to my After Effect but I can't find the extension folder. Its not located in CEP folder. I tryed to search it but theres no where to find it.

OK so I see "save current preview" is in the Composition drop down list ... but greyed out?? Please explain!! Is this coming back? Are you teasing us Adobe?????
