After Effects

Hello, I am here because i am desperate need of help. I've been happening this problem with after effects 2020 I use a macbook pro M1. Everytime i open it up it shows-- Will be posted in photos above. As I am not sure on how to find these and how to uninstall these ''copies'' I've been looking everywhere, in every folder and theres nothing. Ive been trying for hours and hours. I dont know what the solution is here. Someone told me they might be third party and thats why? I dont know. But im hoping here someone gives me step by step on how to uninstall copies.

Hey everyone! I normally have no issues dynamically replacing images in Essential Graphics once installed in Premiere Pro. Drag in your layer image, and it can be replaced in Premiere Pro easily... However- if that image has the effect CC Environment on it, it will not update in Premiere Pro. I created some camera moves to look around 360 images, and I'd like to simply drop in a new equirectangular image into Premiere Pro. It updates in the Essential Graphics preview, but will not update in the actual timeline preview of Premiere Pro. So it seems like it only wants to manipulate the initial image used when the template was created. Any ideas? Thank you! 

I am trying to make a grid (6 columns) as I duplicate layers, when I reach copy 7 it is positioned below the first ones. I achieved it with an if else expression but it is manual, I have to replicate the statement every 6 layers for it to repeat. "number" I added with the index of the layer.  basically I have the loop in javascript but I don't know how to integrate it to the Y axis position, I want the first row 1 (layer 1 to 6) to be at 5 pixels, row 2 (layer 7 to 12) to be 10 px and so on

I have ventured Far and Wide to find the problem with an expression i am using. I am creating a Scoreboard timer for a Soccer game recently recorded. However i have met numerous problems with it. once i get to > 10 mins there is a zero constantly in the minutes column. i see the issues but im not sure what expression i could use to right the wrong. Hi there,  I have a 2D smoke element (it's a smoke cloud MOV with alpha) that I would like to have panes of glass intersecting vertically and horizontally.  Normally I would just create the smoke/cloud with something like Nebulosity to have a real volumetric cloud, but the client has a specific smoke clip they want. Is there a trick to adding voume to a 2D layer?  I thought about layering it each with 20% transparency and off-set just a bit in Z space. Then the glass panes would be more visible in front and slowly fade further back.  But, then I'm getting sharp edges when the pane intersects the smoke layers.  If I could round the layer or bend it that could work, but wonder if there are better ideas out there.Any thoughts?Thanks!-Stephen

Hi, At my place of work, we've been experiencing problems with After Effects crashing whenever we install Element 3D from VideoCopilot. We've updated to the latest version of Element 3D, and install After Effects 24, but the same thing happens. This is with a 2020 iMac, by the way. Any suggestions as to how to get around this?

Hi guys,  I'm trying to move a static grid of balls from one arrangement into another one. I want them to be static, then move in a freeform (not linearly) to arrange themselves in a different way, and stay static again. Any ideas on how I can do that?  I tried using Trapcode in particular but can't find a way to keep the balls static again. I created particles (yellow) on a grid, then created another transparent system (the grey one, here I increased the opacity a little bit for you to see) with the new arrangement and turned on flocking. The first grid form is the predator and the second is the prey, so they move in a freeform towards the new grid arrangement, but the balls won't stay still. Any other effects I could use, or any way I can keep them static once they're done with the move?  Any help is very much appreciated.

Hi all,  I have a persistent problem which I am not able to solve. I have developed two extensions which now sit on my workspace the whole time.They are separate extensions, they don't communicate with each other. However, I've had a weird issue with one extension sometimes reading the other extension license key instead of its own (but they use different folders!), then returning an alert and loading the extension as if the License Key were wrong (which is correct).I'm not sure what the reason was, but I renamed some jsx functions so they have different names plus I removed the folder object on each jsx file from being a global variable and I've put that into a function instead.It worked but still I don't get why it happened. Anyway, let's move on... There is still one issue going on and I think its related to the problem above. If I close one of these two extensions, it could happen that the other extension panel becomes empty. No buttons, nothing. And the only wa

So, using After Effects on my PC (R7 2700X, GTX 1070 ti, 32GB 2133MHz RAM) is painful. I have to use quarter quality or else it will within 3 seconds spew out the "unable to allocate memory" thing. But on my laptop (8850H, P2000 Mobile, 32GB also but probably slightly faster RAM, still DDR4), it runs full quality and never has any out of memory issues. What could be causing this?

I can't tell if I'm encountering a bug or am just a faulty user!Using Automation Blocks, I have the downloaded script for "Random Swish at Selected Layer In and Out Points". That script seems to work just fine, but then trying to just change the audio files that the list pulls from keeps coming up with an error when I go to use the adjusted scriptexecute scriptexecution result: "file cannot be imported, since it does not exist:/null (line 1)"destructor final end point 'main script' reachedI've even tried changing out the Embedded File commands with a simple file command to the .wav I want to use in my downloads folder. I want to access the rotation property of a rectangle below, the easiest way is to use the pick whip, but it will always access the same “Rectangle 1”. I want to duplicate the group several times and always take the rotation of a rectangle below, not the "rectangle 1"I normally access the properties of a layer below using "thisComp.layer(thisLayer, 1).transform.rotation" but I'm not sure if it works the same

I'm new to after effects and I'm just trying to experiment with things to see how they react to footage. I've been trying to use the RotoBrush to select an object in my footage but even with the tool selected clicking in the video to highlight what I want just grabs the scene itself and moves it around. How do I fix?

Hello,i have year plan of after effects, on start 2022 is auto renew, i dont want renew this for next year, but when clicked "cancel" (only option) i must paid extra money for cancel in every time, i just want switch to "off" auto-renew and paid this year i should cancel 1 day before autorenew or what?

I have a 190 layers in a composition which I pre-comped. Now I create a copy of the pre-comp so that I can edit the copy without editing/changing the original one. But any change I make in the copied pre-comp layer, changes the original one. Even locking the original one didn't avoid edition. I even tried importing separately, nothing worked so far. How do I do so? 

The issue that I have is very complicated. I have really intense sequence in AE and I want to disable my background layer in order to render my 3D graphics on a transparent background. The issue is that when I try to disable/delete my background layer, my whole animation and sequence goes black. I've been trying to resolve the problem for hours but nothing seems to work. Please help ASAP

Hi, I thought Youtube would have the answer for me but I couldn't find necessary info.Here's what I try to accomplish:1. Create a 3D Cylinder that is rotating Z axisCreate a Eclipse in After Effects and Enable 3D and 4D Camera. Adjusting some properties in Gemotary let me create that. I need to set some keyframes in Z axis 2. Put a logo on that Cylinder. Logo is like wrapped around it and is rotated along with the cylinderImport my EPS logo and turn it to shape. Enable it to 3D. I thought partening would work but the logo itself is not really attached to the cylinder when the cylinder is rotated at Z axis. 3. Reveal another logo after the first logo is rotated from behind. It gives that error: there are duplicated effect plug-ins installed on your drive. To avoid problems, quit After Effects and move or delete the older or unneeded versions.I reinstalled After Effects but nothing changed. No duplicate plugins were found in the paths, nor in the MediaCore folder. I updated the drivers, but still the same. The forums advised installing Visual Studio 2013 but this was also in vain. I hope there is an answer, AE works itself but it’s annoying to constantly receive this window.
