After Effects (Beta)

While test driving the latest beta I realized the orientation of Environment Light env maps is incorrect. Here is an example of a simple scene with a metal and rough ball so it's clear.   Would also love to have the ability to use effects on an environment map assigned layer source (.exr/.hdr) so we do not have to precomp it. The reason is for doing things like this but also potentially grading your HDR map.   I think most of this annoyance can be solved by implementing environment map rotation controls for all axes in the Environment Light.

Starting with After Effects Beta build 26.0x8, we are introducing 3 new built-in audio effects, the first time in more than 20 years that new audio effects have been added to After Effects.   Gate - Your Audio Noise Door The Gate effect silences audio that falls below a certain volume threshold. It's perfect for cleaning up noisy recordings, removing background hiss, or creating dramatic audio cuts.     Key Parameters: Threshold (dB): Range -60dB to 0dB (default: -60dB). Audio below this level gets muted. Set it just above your background noise level. Attack (ms): Range 0-1000ms (default: 10ms). How quickly the gate opens when audio exceeds the threshold. Fast attack = immediate opening, slow attack = gradual fade-in. Hold (ms): Range 0-2500ms (default: 40ms). How long the gate stays open after audio drops below threshold. Prevents rapid on/off switching. Release (ms): Range 5-4000ms (default: 220ms). How quickly the gate closes once the hold time expires. Fast release

I get this error when I try to render anything from the render queue. After Effects (Beta) error: internal verification failure, sorry! {unexpected match name searched for in group} (29 : I tried all the suggestions in this thread https://adobe.ly/3V6XGJF and no matter what I did it doesn't work.Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,   We're happy to announce that starting in Beta build 24.0x25, we have added 7 new scripting hooks related to variable fonts. Hey everyone,I’m running into a strange issue. When I select a clip in Premiere Pro and use “Replace with After Effects Composition,” it opens After Effects but creates an empty comp,no media, no layers, nothing.I’ve already tried restarting both apps, saving my Premiere project before linking, and making sure I’m selecting an actual video clip (not an adjustment layer or nested sequence). Still the same result.Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas what could be causing it?Specs:Premiere Pro version: Latest BetaAfter Effects version: Latest BetaOS: Win 11Thanks in advance!

I tried to increase the volume of my system (volume icon, "taskbar") my screen froze and went black and then that error came out! my GPU is a Gtx 1660 (driver studio last update "yesterday") this problem already It even comes from 2023 but before it did not give this message... it only turned the screen black and in the worst case the video was not given again but rather I restarted the pc

 While working, the screen suddenly goes black and then this error appears... I'm using a 2060 Super. I updated the driver, but the problem still happens. How can I fix this problem?

Steps to reproduce:1. Render an After Effects project using AME.2. Notice it's rendering very slowly3. Notice the Output Preview states "Based on source, hardware encoding nVidia codec." (5080 card installed)4. Go to Task Manager | Performance (to view graphs) Result: ... GPUs are both completely idle (Intel + nVidia), CPU maxed out.Expected: ...GPUs to be going gangbusters, CPU near idle System info    Application: Adobe Media Encoder (Beta) v25.6.0.89    OS: Windows v10.0.26100, RAM: 63.79 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 16nVidia 5080 with latest Studio driver

When exporting an AE project via AME it tells me that hardware exporting is not available.  Newest nVidia 5080 is in place. AE 25.6.0 Build 88i7 11700K processornVidia 5080 with Studio Driver 

I'm using Mesh Warp a lot on my current project, and it's infuriating how every time I drag one of the Mesh Warp points, after about 1 second of successful dragging, the point gets "dropped" and just stops moving, as if AE has said "you've had long enough to position this point, THIS is where it's going". Obviously the point should remain "live" for as long as I'm dragging it around. (And I'm not dragging anything weird - I have a 2 x 3 grid on a 1080x1920 comp which has 2 layers, both of which are reasonably sized). This bug exists on both the Beta version and the latest public release. System info    Application: After Effects (Beta) v24.5.0.32    OS: Windows v10.0.19045, RAM: 127.91 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 32

Dear Adobe TeamI recently switched my licensing to AcademicSoftware through my education, and since then I’ve unfortunately lost access to the beta versions of your applications. Previously, I was able to use the betas for InDesign, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, After Effects, and others. But with my new license/account/profile, all beta access has been removed.As I am working on an ARM-based laptop, having access to these betas is especially important for me.Would it be possible to restore my beta access under my new license? Please note that under this forum account, I have 2 profiles linked, one of which has access to beta (inactive license) and one that does not (active license, needs beta access.).Thank you very much for your time and support. I am trying to locate the beta version to download for use and it is not appearing in my creative cloud like it use to. Is this broken? I need the beta version so I can import 3D objects into a scene for a video. 

Loading the effect onto an EXR crashes the software to desktop. Hi develop team, It looks like the new Advance 3D renderer is built on USD/Hydra. Could we create a custom Hydra render delegate (an HdRendererPlugin) and have After Effects discover and use it via AE’s USD integration? If so, this could be a genuine game‑changer for compositing workflows and pipeline flexibility. If realized, this approach could enable Redshift or Cycles to run natively within After Effects; please consider including this as a roadmap item.

Whenever I save the After Effects Mp4 file from Media Encoder to my desktop, the file is not visible. I have attached a video of the same. Please help. 

AE beta was working great. My Mac crashed, and then when launching AE beta, I get a std::exception error and will not start. What is the best way to resolve this issue?

(This is an old problem that has plagued AE for at least a year; I've previously reported it but cannot find that bug report*).Steps to reproduce:1. Work on an AE project for an hour or so2. Notice how, unlike when you first launched AE, now:the CTI does not move during a previewnothing appears in the Info panel re: frame rate etc.when you move/scale/rotate anything in the Comp Viewer, you only see the bounding-handles, not the actual image moveafter you stop a preview playing, the Pg up/dn/home/end keys DO move the CTI, but NOTHING updates in the comp viewer. The only way to make the comp viewer update is to DRAG the CTI. Same thing when adjusting zoom (via the pop-up menu or middle mouse wheel; nothing updates until I drag the CTI). This happens regardless of whether I have CPU/GPU acceleration set. The ONLY way to fix it is to quit & relaunch AE. closing and re-opening the project does not fix it. I'll check and update my graphics drivers to see if that helps (it hasn't hel

Is there any way, after I've set a text layer to be Paragraph Text and changed the size/shape of the text box, to then reset the text box back to its default size/shape/position? I know (found this today: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-beta-discussions/new-text-box-options-available-in-scripting/m-p/14409110) it's possible to set some of these things via scripting, but I'm just after a simple way to do what I sometimes have to do:Convert a paragraph-text-layer back to point textDelete any returns that have been addedReset the transform of the layerConvert it back to Paragraph Text...which effectively resets the text box's parameters. If this isn't a thing, could it be implemented please? A simple right-click of the text layer and "Reset Bounding Box" option next to "Covnert to Point Text" would be nice. And expressionable access to the text box's parameters would also be nice. As would variable fonts!

I can choose the New Masking option in After Effects.But can not find the tools.The section new in this beta mentions the feature for Premiere Pro. Has anyone found it in After Effects?

v 25.6.0.036, released on August 19th, for Adobe After Effects (Beta) will not update after repeated attempts over many days. I've been able to update every other Adobe software. I also updated my PC.  I can start the process and it says "Updating" all the way up to 99% before resetting to the status seen in the screenshot attached.
