I don't know what happened but suddenly when I enter a symbol, everything is white behind it and I don't see the faded stage behind it like how I used to when animating symbols. How do I animate inside a symbol, where the stage is faded behind it so I can see where I'm animating?!:,( What am I not seeing here?
Hi! I hope there is someone who really knows how to help me.I have an animation that right now is six seconds long. When I test it , it repeats even tho' I have it set up NOT to loop and the Movie Clip Symbol is not set up to loop.I have the Movie Clip in the main timeline (scene) after I created it.I even added a stop action as I saw somewhere else to do this, but it doesn't work. Please, can someone help me? I'm using Animate 2024.I used Animate a few years ago and never had this issue!
It happens a lot with me, and I am tired of remake everytime all animation I already did.Usually happens when I reopen the software, but, at this time, I just tried copy my animation from an already existed scene. In Scene 1 works, but in the Scene 5, when I paste just stop.Every layer is a Symbol, I don't know what can be the error. I don't found any solution to this.Help.
I'm using Adobe Animate 2020, last night I was working on something and saved it, then closed the program and went to sleep. I know I saved it, because no "save changes?" pop-up came up when closing it. This morning, when I opened Animate I checked my recent files, and it was there but was completely reverted back to when I first started the project. There are no autosaves for it either. I don't know what happened? Help would be greatly appreciated.
the anchor point in adobe animate is coming to its original posistion please help me
Hi everyone,I'm currently working on a character animation using the Asset Warp Tool in Adobe Animate 2025 (v25.2 on Windows 11), and I've run into a problem I can't seem to resolve. When I add warp pins to a shape (a character's arm, in this case), everything looks fine at first. But as soon as I try to animate the pins over time, the mesh starts distorting in odd ways—sometimes the pins don't move the part of the shape I expect, or parts of the mesh will snap suddenly during playback. I've tried deleting and re-adding the mesh and pins, but the problem keeps coming back.Things I've tried:Breaking the shape apart before using the warp toolConverting to symbol, then trying againResetting preferencesUsing a fresh layer and redrawing the shapeIs this a known issue in the latest version, or am I missing something? Any advice or workarounds would be appreciated.I really appreciate any help you can provide.
I'm a very new person learning Adobe Animate. I've gone through a lot of tutorials all over and have not found a soultion to what I think should be an easy answer. I'm trying to make a tire rotate across my screen. I have an upright one on the left and right and an upside down one in the middle. When I animate this, the rotation starts out great until if it gets halfway. In the second half the tire does rotate to the one off the page on the right but it's rotating the opposite direction. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to make this rotate correctly? Thanks!

So i was doing some last minute polishing on a big project ive been working on for a long time and after rendering the vid I noticed a few minor bits in the first scene needed a touch up, but aniamte froze during the second render and crashed. The fla file is now broken and won't open and the last alt copy I have is from yesterday before i spent 3 hrs polishing it. The first scene is all that needs to change and only in a minor way. Is there a way to render the first scene then stitch it onto the already finished second scene?
When I try to import elements using a script I wrote, it takes a very long time. The first few elements take less than a second, but once the count reaches around 100 (I don't have an exact number), the import time increases to 2–5 seconds per element. The problem is that Adobe Animate takes 5–10 minutes to run the script. If I delete this line, the script only takes about 5 seconds. Importing 10 elements takes just 10 seconds. However, when importing hundreds of elements (e.g., 200), the import time increases with each element, and Adobe Animate becomes increasingly slow. At some point, if you click anywhere in Animate, the application crashes (on Windows 11 Pro).I've tried several workarounds: importing in batches of 10 or 20 elements, cleaning the memory after each batch... but when the number of symbols is large, the app still crashes and stops responding. The problem seems to be with this line: lib.addItemToDocument({ x: 0.0 + x * elementIndex, y: y }, libPath); I’ve also
I work on MacOs Big sur 11.17.10 Intel with 4Go memory.I'm looking for the old version of Animate that can run on it.I own the CC suite but the old versions available are not old enough.
Hello!I put experiments with my tool panel (AnCode) on hold for a while, but later came back and decided to polish the draft into a somewhat functional prototype. Of course, I know about EDAP Tools – I’m light-years away from that level. And I’m not even aiming for it. I just really love Animate and learning programming. The video was recorded with a Russian interface, but the extension itself, including pop–up messages, was translated into English. I’ve added timestamps for your convenience. Hope the AI translation is tolerable. Watch on YouTube: Animation Presets in Adobe Animate An English audio track is available in player settings.Download .fla files from the video
So this is more of an annoyance than something thats stopping my progress, but its bugged me for a while. With most objects and symbols I can get the free transform tool to select it in an regular square boarder, allowing me to stretch the object/symbol in certain ways. However, with some things it just flat out refuses to select it in a regular square box, making it impossible to stretch or deform in certain ways. Ive tried ctrl+B to break it apart and reselct it, Ive also tried forming it into an object, going inside and re-orienting the pixels to make square and not diagonal. But for some things it just refuses to allow me to select it without selecting in a diomond shape. What is causeing this ?
I am trying to create videos in Animate (Adobe Animate 2024) to bring into Photoshop for an animated video. I have done this before very successfully but I don’t recall how!I am creating movie clip symbols with a transparent background using alpha 0 in the Properties, and Exporting the file as Video/Media.When I export the movie from Animate it creates a black background! I do not understand why! What is going wrong?
I've been seaarching like hours but still I couldn't found the magnet tool. I'm downloaded today, pls help me.
I am an ancient hand animator from a very different era (the animation stand/16mm days.). I would like to import a large number of sequential drawn images to a software program and be able to assign different durations per image, ending with a simple but controlled animation. It seems to me to be a very straight forward action, and I can almost accomplish this on unsophisticated programs like Imovie on my Mac. However that program doesn't really give me the time duration control I need. I've tried to learn what photoshop has to offer in this regard as well as other adobe animation programs but these seem way too cumbersome for my simple needs. I fear that even if I were to conquer the steep learning curve presented on the many tutorials I've watched, I would still not enjoy the flexiblty I require for both image movement and frame by frame sync to sound. I would very much like to read any insights to help me with this problem. In th
I tried importing & dragging an MP3 file into Animate CC and I would get this message (see image) "Couldn't Import *.mp3…" "One or more files were not imported…". I tried this on both Mac & Win10 (everything is to up to date), installed QT on Win10, Reset my settings, tried it on another mac with a fresh install.I used a stand alone media converter from a raw recording (mac & Win), tried to fiddle with the compression etc. The last step is to open an old Flash file with an mp3.
Im NOT talking about editing the jvm.ini file. This file is obviously for allocating more memory during publishing only. I need to know how to allocate more memory to animate for the UI so that the program stops going blank after i load an FLA. thank you
simple enough. I open an external library and publish. i get this Scene 1, Layer 'Layer_1', Frame 1, Line 1, Column 28 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method clip2. basically flash is not recognizing the clips in the external library i just opened. only after i drag them into the main library does it recognize them. this is either a bug or a huge DERP by adobe. WTF is the point of being able to open an external library and not be able to use it??
Basically my library is just too big for adobe animate to handle in one piece. I need to break it into multple pieces and have it either load through AS3 or load only during publish. Adobe animate literally runs out of memory and the whole program turns black after only a few seconds of editing anything in my library. Loading the library with the "open external library" doesnt work, it crashes everytime because my library is just too big.
So I managed to import audio into the library and put it in the timeline, but now whenever I hit play, the playback will only include the audio if I start from the first frame! If hit play from anywhere else in the timeline, complete silence
For the life of me, Animate won't let me import this audio file. I made sure it's in an accepted formatI updated the appI made sure it was set to "all openable formats"I tried importing to the library, straight to the stage, and just dragging and dropping it Every time it simply said it could not import the file. No explanation, no error code, nothing.
I really want to make animations and game's using Actionscript 2.0 and since Flash CS6 is the last version of Flash/Animate to have Actionscript 2.0, I want to know how to get it
Hello,Recently I have been getting this error every time I try to test/preview an HTML5 Canvas document in Animate CC (2018). I have tried reinstalling, read another solution (the output directory could not be found - sadly I had no folder named "_" or "/" so this solution doesn't apply to me), I have tried saving in different locations with new names etc. Nothing has helped. So far I have found no answers anywhere on the internet either. I have been working with Adobe for over 8 years now, but only for a month or so with Animate CC. This is quite problematic for me since the deadline is quite soon (student at the University of Applied Sciences), and none of the other students nor teachers are able to solve this issue with me. This is my absolute last out since I cannot seem to find a way to just 'call' or email Adobe either. I'm hoping that someone may have a solution here for me.Jessy
Hi all,I am investigating the FLA OLE-based file format created by Adobe Flash CS4. I imported a WAV file into the project and then saved it as a FLA file. After that, I used 7z to extract the FLA file. I am struggling to extract the WAV file’s information in binary mode, even though Adobe Flash CS4 can read and retrieve details such as bit rate, bit depth, and channels for the WAV file. This file is quite old, so if anyone has any insights, please help. Thanks!
