Animate

Hey, so Ive been using animateCC for a few years now, and I know to always save multiple copies of what i'm working on in mulitple places. This didn't stop one particular object I had spent all morning working on from not saving (an arm that i added 5 new frames to) . Every other alteration I made to my project saved correctly, including things I changed after altering the arm, but the work I put in on the arm just vanished. Did I do something wrong, or is this just another one of adobes tendancies to corrup and loose data?

As I was working on my latest project, I used the clip content outside the stage feature like I always do to get an idea of how the final product should look in its intended ratio, when one specific layer for my backgrounds wasn't clipping correct-only about a third of it was. So I closed and re-opened the file, and when I did, the entire movie was wayyy off screen! How am I supposed to fix this? Please help. 

HiI'm trying to write a program in javascipt, but every time I'm trying to test my program, I get the error: Failed to load resource: net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVEDUncaught TypeError: cjs.MovieClip is not a constructorUncaught TypeError: AdobeAn.getComposition is not a functionI tried to make a blank program with no code, but I still get this error. I already tried to reinstall Animate and Adobe Cloud, and also restarting my PC, but nothing works. Thanks for anyone who is willing to help.

Hi, so I'm a relative novice when it comes to Adobe Animate however, I do understand the basics with a little extra understanding. I'm attempting to use a motion tween on various symbols that are seperated into their own layers. I have added keyframes which the symbolds follow correctly with no problem. However, a few minutes later, with no additionnal input, the keyframes are no longer followed and the symbols in the motion frame completely follow a randomised path, rotating, vanishing and scaling of their own accord.  I was told this could be a cache error, and that I should simply save the .fla file as a different name. This worked for the Adobe customer support represenative, but it did not work for myself.  I'm at a loss because, no matter what I do, the symbols on the keyframe do not follow my instructions after this issue occurs. Hello, I have recently created lots of display ads to be used in a campaign on Google Campaign Manager.  I added the button in Animate and used the 'click to go to web page' action in the code snippets. This is where I added in the URL I need people to go to when they click.  After publishing, I edited the .html file in Dreamweaver and added in this code:  <head>   <meta name="ad.size" content="width=300,height=250">   <script type="text/javascript">      var clickTag = "http://www.google.com";   ​</script></head> When uploading to ad validator it came back saying they should track correctly. However since being uploaded into Campaign Manager I have received reports that the ads are not tracking correctly.  Please can someone advise what I am doing wrong and what code I need to add / change to fix the issue?  Thank you so much.

I don't know much about scripting, but there is the possibility of parenting a layer that has a symbol inside with another one that is outside the symbol. Now, I know I can export to PNG sequence, but exporting to video with masks has never been a problem for me before this update and it should work. See video.

If the publisher is asking for a 50k initial load Can I do this by checking "include preloader" under publish settings and select an image that is under 50k in my images folder? If I remember correctly when uploading rich media to doubleclick i had to add code to the javascript. This isnt a rich media buy and it might not be for doubleclick but I wanted to ask around. thanks for your help.

Hey, everyone. I’m having a big problem and I'll be very glad for your help.A couple of weeks ago, I payed for subscription to Adobe Animate, yet until this day, I never got the software for my computer, and furthermore, I keep getting payed for subscription to the credit card that I was using despite never receiving the software.What should I do? I’m afraid to redownload it, because it'll mean I'll have to spend more money for subscription, despite the fact that I already did, and all of that only for a chance to not getting the software again. Can you please tell me how do I get out of this mess? 

I’m just started to use this program and without learning more then 4 tools it’s broken and I can’t use any function, and I’m so frustrated. For some reason I can no longer edit any specific frame, Whenever selecting any frame: every line in it is selected, the bucket tool won’t work (sometimes the brush) and it makes it so I’m editing every frame. I think ppl are referring to is as auto selection is on but I can’t find where to turn that off. I literally am unable to animate anything at this point.

I'm trying to animate a snake slithering across the screen coiling up, and then transitioning into a logo of a coiled up snake. I'm new to Adobe Animate, and I'm struggling with finding a way to animate the snake to follow a path. I've played around with asset warp with classic tweens, and simple shapes with motion tween, but is it possible to combine the two in some way?Can you get all the joints in a asset warp object to follow a path? I've seen it done with several separate circles put together to form a sort of caterpillar-snake, but that will not work with my design. Heres is a really simple animation that I managed to do, to show the bare concept.And a video with an example of how the snake should move, following it's own body. I'm making a bullet hell but i've encountered a slight problem, I can't use just one sprite for everything and manually animating each attack would be way too time-consuming, Is it possible for symbols to be duplicated through actionscript? The example here is what i know how to do, being the use of a single object on loop in a set path.                       But what i need is for a single stationary object to be able to create duplicates of itself when a function is called, then have those clones do a desired action or go on a set path. As shown below.

When I did animations in Flash, if I selected "anti-alias for animation", my fonts would come out nice and crisp and clear.Now that I am having to use Animate CC, that option is now greyed out and my fonts are now less crisp.The two Animate books I have of course make no mention of this problem nor how to ensure clear text.Whenever I google anything about Animate, I get lots of posts from like 10 years ago or that talk about AS2  Any suggestions?

Hi, I'm essentially a novice in using Animate, but I took a course on using it (with Windows). I'm now on Mac and trying to create a mask layer but it isn't working (the mask layer shows the little mask layer icon but doesn't mask the layer below it), and I assume my problem is how I attempted to create the mask layer.  Here's what I tried: double click on the layer name I get a window titled 'Layer Properties' Under type, I select 'Mask'. This does nothing.
