Good morning, night, or afternoon Adobe Animate community.After spending days of trying to self-diagnose the problem, wasting hours on call with Adobe Support running me in circles, and just plain not understanding what could be wrong, I've come to ask some fellow Animate-ers (ha-ha) for some help.I haven't been using Animate/Flash for a long time, started dabling with it around 3 months ago. At first, everything seemed to be fine, but over time the cracks have started to become more and more visible. It seems anything that has to do with ActionScript Animate will completely nope out on. Actions panel? Crash. Trying to add a code snippet? Crash. The problems extend even beyond that for Animate. Import a video? Crash. Import audio? Crash. Do a seemingly random thing that god forbid isn't drawing on the canvas? Crash. If I don't update from Animate 2019 first, and I install via CC or a direct installer, Animate ceases to function. I am working on a project using JavaScript using Adobe Animate. I tried entering the JavaScript by hand coding which did not work. Next I went to a code wizard with not much luck either.What I have is a interface Called Oil Facts which is landscape view. In the top left corner I have a clip saved as a movie which shows a cutaway of a engine running. I don't want the engine to be visible until the user clicks a button called engineRun. The movie of the engine running is called engine. The problem is when the engineRun button is clicked the engine appears and is animated but for a few seconds. I want the engine to stay visible and animated after the user clicks the button. Any ideas what could be done here please. I am using Code snippets, also I created a label in the first frame of the movie clip named engine which I called motorGo but the animation again appears working for a few seconds then dissapears. I want the engine to continue running.   this.

I've been wanting textured brush strokes in my animation.  But when I use the Paint Brush tool to utilize the textures available (as opposed to the fluid brush tool I've been using), every brush stroke becomes its own symbol in object drawing mode.  Too many symbols then cause the program to freeze for a moment, unresponsive.  Then when it returns, everything is slow, even simple tasks like adding a level or deselecting something becomes slow.  This happens even after I've broken apart the object.  I'm working on Windows 10 Pro, and my computer seems to exceed the minimum requirements needed for Adobe Animate, even though it is four years old.  This is my second year using Animate, so I hope I've used the correct language, as this is all new to me.  I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong and how I can use textured brush strokes from the brush library without my working coming to a crawl.

Ever since I've used Animate CC I've had this bug, doesn't matter if opening an old .fla, creating new ones, the file size, nada. About every 30-60 minutes having a project open, while just drawing it occurs, I have to be sure to save often then restart the app. I thought it was a graphics related issue so I reinstalled and updated graphics drivers, updated and reinstalled windows 10, the software, even tried reseting properties multiple times like others were saying to do...to no avail. I'm tired with Adobe basically scamming people with software that seems more broken than their previous counterparts, most people I hear still want to use old Flash because it was more stable. Hi, How can we get that an "input text component" don't stand over all the objects in the stage? The componet is allways over the stage and changing layer order don't run.kind regards.

Hello, I need to produce a png animation by subtracting animated rounded corners rectangles from another shape. I managed to simulate what I have in mind in the attached gif. Of course I used white as a background to achieve this effect but I need true transparency. I am really trying to achieve is something like the subtract from illustrator pathfinder. Unfortunately I need to covert everything to symbols to keep 9 slice scaling (is this correct, and if I do so combine objects doesn't work (do I understand right, no 9 slice scaling outside symbols?) and by doing so I also lose the transparency around the corners.  Whas wondering if I could just import intermediate frames from illustrator and tween between them. Not really sure how to do that, so if you could point me to some resource I'd really appreciate it.  Thank you very much  

Hi, I made a browser game using Adobe Animate (by selecting HTML5 Canvas as the Platform Type). Now, I'm trying to convert it into a desktop application (targeting Windows). I tried to follow many guides on the internet in order to do so, but none of them has worked so far. Most answers suggest converting my project to an application by using Adobe AIR for desktop or by using conversion to ActionScript 3.0. However, the game's code uses Javascript while the previously suggested platforms use ActionScript, and hence during the publishing process there are always complication errors. Is there any way to convert my browser game to a desktop application? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Trying to convert a gif to a web safe version but whenever I put it in Animate, this happens after I try to edit all the frames sizing at the same time.    

I created a movie that has an engine that cycles with the pistons firing.This is part of an animated infographic (see below in the second image).The instance name of the engine movie is engine.At the bottom of the page running horizontally are circular colored icons which are buttons.The chrome yellow button above the number 1982 makes visible the engine running but for some reason the engine does not loop and only plays for one cycle in the timeline.When I run the project with no code attached the engine loops continueing to run.What would I do here to keep the engine running after the chrome yellow icon is clicked.Below is the code________________________ this.engine.visible = false;this.engineRun.addEventListener("click", fl_ClickToHide_4.bind(this)); function fl_ClickToHide_4(){this.engine.visible = true;} 

Anytime i add a moving camera to my movie and test it, the FPS drops to drastically slow levels. FPS will return to normal as soon as the camera stops moving or if i remove the camera entierly. Is there any way to fix this? 

Hi,I wanna animate a floating charakter, which is talking. So I created a Symbol with a 3 sec short up-and-down-movement-cycle for the body and nested the lips as another symbol with a longer timeline.The talking starts again every 3 seconds as the hovering cycle starts again.How do I make the nested animation continue though the outer animation loops?

I used to be able to quickly change the frame rate of an animation by clicking on it and typing a new number. Now that part is grayed out and I have to go into the properties to change it, which takes a while. I'm wondering if there's a way to go back to the easy way of chaning it? 

Before when I selected an object, it showed a white spotted outline over the whole thing, and you could delete specific parts, stretch, etc., but now when I select things. It just shows a blue bounding box. How can I fix this?

Good Morning. I have here a scrollview. goes up and down allowing me to see the content of the screen below and hiding the top. The problem is that when I return to the initial position, it does not stay fixed in the initial position, but it goes down more than I would like. (scrolls to the bottom of the screen). what I want is for the scrollview to go up and down but not go down beyond its initial position. What should I do if even after purchase monthly subscription for adobe animate cc still works like free trial version?? 

Previous Animate Update introduced a few annoying glitches.  Recent update has corrected them, but now I am getting an error to an AS script file that previously ran (2 updates ago) without fail from another copied .fla. I am not going to insist that I dont actually have an syntax error, but I cannot find it, AND when killing the entire layer using /*, the debug posts the same errors.  (I didn't think it read/debug/compiled anyting after /*, ?)Does anyone know of a something that could trigger the error, or is willing to look at the script and see if I have a legit sytax error needing a right brace - I may have been looking too long, and simply am not seeing it.  According to debug there are four(?), but it does not identify line or column: import flash.events.MouseEvent;import flash.display.MovieClip;//troubleshootingaccumTS_BTN.visible = false;hydPressSwTS_BTN.visible = false;latchCylTS_BTN.visible = false;S101TS_BTN.visible = false;S102TS_BTN.visible = false

It would be cool to be able to import figma, sketch and adobe xd layers into animate for animation and prototyping. Especially for those of us who once rocked out in flash. Being able to take animations and prototypes and converting them into popular video formats and/or lottie and coded examples (like XD and Figma does for prototyping) would be even more awesome.
