Animate

When I try to save my new projects, I am booted from the program. I have sent a message, but I am trying to learn this new program and am having difficulty.

Hi, I wanted to make a button change color when clicked and remain in that color. That worked perfectly with the code upState=over.State However, I now want to "undo" this when another button is clicked. (The buttons should only remain in the "changed" color for a certain number of frames. So every time a button is clicked, only the button that was just recently clicked will be in the changed color. Is there an efficient way to solve this?  Thanks! 

Hi, recently started using adobe animate. I'm using the classic brush to outline tracing over real life footage in a new layer. However, for example, I'm tracing over a hoodie. When I outline the frame, move to the next and do the same. I can not go back and fill the brush lines. But if I draw the outline and add a fill before moving to the next frame. It works. 

If I have onion skin bars extended out over, say, hundreds of frames, is there a quick way to reset them to the play head?  Manually dragging them back to the play head is really annoying.  I feel like in older versions there was a way.  Like just double clicking on the play head would retract them.  🤔 🤔

We have a script for graphics that is in d3.js and that needs to be inserted in the page created by Adobe Animate. As Adobe Animate generates a file in html5 Canvas and d3js works with SVG, is there a way to insert it in Canvas,  and also keeping the mouse click and toolltip control in mousehover?

I want to export PNG image sequences with a transparent background. I am using "export video/media" because I want to animate objects using ActionScript. Unfortunately, the transparency doesn't work as it should and the edges of objects are always black (please see attachments). This problem is also described in this post from 4 years ago:https://community.adobe.com/t5/animate/alpha-channel-video-render-problem-black-stage-coming-through/td-p/9026974The solution says that it will be fixed in a future update but that's not a solution and it's been four years!!I would be greatful if this could be fixed. I'm trying to make a sprite sheet, and when I do some frames are cut off at the top. I have an example of it in the screenshot. The first image, "Cap1", is how it's supposed to look, and in the second, that's what it looks like when you look at the preview before you export the sprite sheet. I'd really appreciate the help.  

i create a symbol and when press ctrl c to copy something it gets half white and dont get off the symbol, only if i go back to stage and go back to the symbol, its honestly so bad, so is with me copying the frames in the timeline, and when i put it into a symbol it comes totally broken, with no layer parenting settings and random tweening directions  the half white symbol

I was working on a character for the popular indie game "Friday Night Funkin" when I suddenly couldn't open Adobe Animate without it crashing. I restarted my Pc and I opened it, It crashed once more and then I got it working. But when I went to open recent, I could only find old Fla's. PLEASE HELP!!! I worked really hard on this!

Helllo, can someone please hjelp me? on all my layers, whenever I try using my pen on my tablet to draw or erase something with my brush and eraser tools, (maybe more, havent checket the others) everything on the layer dissapears and only reappears when i change to a different layer and come back. i checked my tablet driver and everything is up to date, but i cant do anything because i cannot see the lines i am drawing. May someone please help? Thank you!

Hey guys! I've seen similar posts on this error but none were recent, and none suggested working solutions for this.A little context: I'm running Windows 10 and all of the sudden Animate stopped opening any of my previously saved files, except for the last one I created today.I tried deleting the preferences but I could't find the right path, as all the paths suggested are out of date. Can someone tell me the correct path for the preferences file I need to delete so I can properly try that?I also tried restarting, reinstalling, downgrading the version, working local instead of working on Drive File Stream, etc etc etc. Nothing works.Adobe Animate is alread incredibly unstable as is, but this is too much, because if it doesn't get solved then I cannot open any project I have ever done (except for this last one).Any clues? Please help!!

I've been working on a project for two years. My last manual backup was 7 months ago. I know I should have done a more recent one but I hand blind trust in adobes backup, but now it's gone its all gone after a crash, adobe said it couldn't save when I tried to save my project, and error and suggested saving somewhere else, I tried that and it crashed. Now my file is reduced to 3 kilobytes and I cant open it.I think I might kill myself, this is everything I've been working on and its all gone, please! Please is there ANYTHING that can be done to recover this? Im at a loss for words I don't know what else to ask for I am begging anyone. How could my file get reduced to nothing when all I did was open the software.please

So, I don't even know where to begin because I'm so astonished by the inability of this software that is supposedly industry leading... I installed the latest version of Animate literally two days ago, I began work on a final project for school, saved countless times. I also use Maya software and know to save basically every 15 minutes to not lose loads of work especially when it comes to school projects. So tell me, why the hell do I only have the first saves worth of stuff loading up today, which is three seconds of basically nothing for my project. Also, what the hell were all of the other "automatic backup save" things, or whatever they're called, because I can't find them anywhere on my computer and I just did a full computer search for anything with "fla" in the name to make sure I got everything.  I completely understand why people say Animate is complete garbage compared to Flash. Why is this something that I should even have to think about? What the hell is this

I have far fewer fonts showing up in all my Adobe programs (Animate v21.0.3, Photoshop v22.2, etc) than I do in MS Word or other apps on my Mac Mini (new M1 chip), OS11.2.I want to use Century Gothic in Animate, and it's not in the list, and yes, I've tried typing the first few letters of the font name. I have maybe half as many fonts available in Animate and Photoshop than I do in MS Word, for example.When I installed the Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate), they all gave warnings that I was installing the old Intel versions of the programs, not an updated version for the new M1 chip - could this be the issue? Every time I add sound to my animations and try exporting to .mp4 there isn't any sound in the video. How do I export with sound?

Hi I am new to Animate. I am creating a 2 min long animation for my school assignment on my MacBook Pro with 8GB REM. It was not choppy when I started creating it but it became choppy as more images, symbols and camera movements are added and the animation gets long.it was even choppy and the faces are still showed as squares on test-play and even when it's exported as a mp4 file. Also, the characters faces appear as square or sometimes it does not appear like below. (I drewed the character on Procreate and exported as PSD into Adobe Animate.) So now I am using a Windows computer with 32GB REM which is 4-times more powerful because I thought my MacBook is not powerful enough. But my animation is still choppy on the Windows computer and the issue with the square faces is not fixed either. I only used Classic tween. How can I change the font and the size of a radio button? I've noticed that when you export a canvas file on a retina screen, bitmap images all look fine at any scale, but on a non-retina screen, images that are 100% or 50% scaled look fine, but any other scale and they look low quality/pixellated. Is there a workaround/fix to this?  

In downloading Adobe Animate CC, you need to first install the "Creative Cloud" application right? So after I signed in to Creative Cloud, then I had to wait for it to download. After it was done downloading, something popped up on my screen saying exactly this (I have the picture for it): I don't really know what it means,any help by chance? 

Simply put, when a frame is jumped to, it contains this code: this.p_Image.children[0].image.src = "http://website.com/image.jpg";My Movie Clip's instance name is "p_Image", it contains a placeholder bitmap within it and nothing else. It is a layout element which needs to display a specific image depending on which frame is currently displayed.the console error I get is:Cannot read property 'children' of undefinedWhat is not defined here? Shouldn't this be a very simple? Any insight would be helpful, thanks!

I'm unable to refresh my device list in Animate 21.0.7 with the latest Harman SDK 1.533When I connect my iPad it no longer is on the device list.  Unable to test or install the app I'm building in Animate onto my iPad.

What is the difference between importing to the stage and into the library When I open a tab, any tab (e.g. properties) and then click on the main workspace the tab automatically disappears. Is there a way to get this to stop. E.G. when working in photoshop and you choose a brush from the “brush tab”, you can use that brush and the “brush” tab will stay there until you close it. It does not close automatically. Why convert assets to symbols, what is the importance of this. On the asset warp tool there are lines that pop up on a shape, is there any way of redrawing these lines so the adjustments you make to the asset are smooth-I feel like the mesh it gives you is made up of triangles, (which is advised against in 3D meshs) jagged and not easy to use. If I double click on the symbol I wish to animate (via the asset warp tool) it takes me to a sepperate timeline focusing on that symbol. What is the importance of this? Do I have to animate on both timelines or one part
