Audition

After more than several occurrences, I finally see what's happening... but don't understand why.I will sometimes open files by double-clicking them. Doing so launches Audition but, often, the file will not play when using the spacebar. And only today did I realize why: in these cases, apparently, Audition sometimes launches with the search field (in the upper right-hand corner) highlighted, and tapping the spacebar just adds spaces to the search field. I have to click in the waveform window before the spacebar will behave normally.There is already a search field under the Help menu. But is there a way to disable the search field in question?Thanks.

I wrote a theme song for my paranormal group more than 15 years ago using the royalty free riffs provided by Adobe audion. the song has been used all these years and in two tv productions. the past two days, someone on Facebook has accused me of a copywrite violation. there is. I biolation as the riffs were royalty free and included with Adobe audition. I need help! can Adobe please help me?  

Hi, I'm trying to make a song in Adobe Audition, and when I try to use Melodyne, I'm able to tune the mp3. However, when I click apply, the effects I put in don't apply to the mp3 and the audio stays the same without any tuning whatsoever. Why is this, and how do I fix it?

To adjust the volume of a part of the audio in Auditon, I specify a range in View and increase the volume in the editor's HUB.I want to automate this using CEP.How can I achieve this?If it is possible to automate increasing the volume of a part of the audio by a completely different process, please let me know.

Hi I have macOS Monterey Version 12.0.01 on the New iMac. I am using Adobe Audition 22.0.0.96. I am not new to Adobe or troubleshooting either. I have always used Izotope VST plug ins (Nectar3 & Vocal Synth to be exact) and never had an issue. Nothing changed with my computer but i got on Audition today to record, it would allow me to add the AU plug in of Nectar or Vocal Synth but would not include the effect in the export of the multitrack session. I tried scanning the plug-ins directly to the folder they are located and active and the scan is ONLY giving "AU" plug-in results.  I have factory reset my computer, installed previous versions of Audition, uninstalled all plug ins and reinstalled everything (multiple times now) and nothing has worked. I talked with a tech support agent with Adobe and even talked with Izotope to make sure nothing was wrong with the VST or my licenses & they confirmed nothing was wrong with my plug in licenses. this pop-up tells me I should delete some wav files but I cannot put any in there to delete (or close files or undo's). So now I can't even enter audition to work...

I'm slecting portions of audio, clicking copy or command + C (using Mac) and going up to Edit > Set Current Clipboard but all the numbered options are greyed out.  Anyone know why and how to fix it?

I'm using an older version of AA. Newer ones have a graphic preset "Generic Mud Removal". I know that it's a scoop centered around 300 or so, but would like a screen shot of the actual frequencies and amounts. Someone please post a screen shot of it. Thanks.

Hi all,I am a student and as part of my course I was asked to carry out ADR and Foley on a supplied video clip and then export it through Adobe media encoder as a MP4 file.I am encountering a error every time i attempt this but it is a generic error message.Any help or advice would be gratefully apreciated.

Am I missing something?  When I make slight adjustments to voice over timing (ex. dialogue replacement in a project in which vo needs to fit exactly between two sound bites), there is the "real time" mode and the "rendered (high quality)" mode.  If I use "real time," the quality is fine since variations are within +/- 5%, however when I switch to "render (high quality)," the quality is terrible and sounds like a 56k mp3. Why is that?  Is there a "render settings preferences" setting (as in Premiere) that needs to be set?  Am I setting the bar too high and totally missing Adobe's definition of "high quality?" This situation occurs in Multitrack mode where the quality degridation (and waveform changes) are immediately evident and passes down through to the Mixdown.Advise greatly appreciated!

What are the various leader and spacing options that can be inserted in Audition into your audio file?

I JUST imported a voiceover track into a new project and haven't applied any effects other than a click remover. When I push play anywhere in the project, I get a few seconds of normal static noise with the voiceover, then the noise goes away. I hit pause, then play again, and the noise is back for a few seconds, before fading away again. This happens anywhere I click in the timeline. It seems Audition is running an adaptive noise filter (apologies if that's not the right term, but I hope that makes sense) as a default setting, with no way to turn it off. My best guess is something went wrong with the most recent update, but before I reinstall an older version, does anyone else know what this could be or if I can fix it? Is this happening to anyone else? Thanks!

I want to delete sound within the spectral display. I need to have hard-edges. All I come up with are blended blur edges. Need some help please. Thanks in advance! 

Hi all!I work on game audio and I'm currently working on a project that needs several tracks to play at the same time (I'm using FMOD to add all the logic that the game will use). I'm exporting all my tracks to ogg because wav would consume too much space and cpu power, causing the timings to be off and other glitches.With the last track I made, it seems like even as ogg, some problems occur. I don't want to sacrifice sound quality too much. I noticed that no matter what bit depth I select, the ogg is always saved at 32-bit. Is there something I can chage to make it 16-bit or is that something innate to ogg itself? Thank you!

For the past couple months, my recordings in audition have had insane static sounds throughout. Sometimes worse than others. The static does not appear as a wave from in the session and is not heard when I monitor through headphones while recording. I did make sure my sample rates matched up between the mixer (ZOOM LiveTrak L-8) and the settings in audition. I had 41.1kHz for both.  Any ideas on what this might be or how to fix it?Alternatively, any way to repair audio that's already been recorded? 

Hey!So interesting problem and I hope someone can help.I try to voice a video but I keep running into problems with my RAM filling up until Audition crashes. As far as I can tell it has something to do with the csv markers I imported.Since I do voice work I had a SRT subtitle file that got converted into a CSV marker file. As I found out, the markers are causing problems but I don't know why or how to fix it.Here is what I do:- I create project- create multitrack- load in a video file of 1 hour (750mb)- load in markers- click on the marker to jump to the right position- record- RAM goes up with every recording and does not drop againI tried the same process but without importing the markers and the RAM does not fill up. I would really prefer working with the markers though since that will make my job way easier.Any idea what the problem could be or how to fix it?Thanks!

When I try to load a second video track into Audition, the 'Add Video Track' button is greyed out. Am I doing something wrong, or does Audition have a 'one video track limit'?

Hello! In previous versions, including 14, you could grab your old presets, if migrating to a new machine for example. And place them in your new preference folder, in this case 22. Is that no longer the case with 22? What changed here? Steps taken.Mac:1. Navigate to help.2. Scroll until you see an option titled "open in log" or something like that.3. 3 windows pop up.4. Move them side by side so you can see them all.5. Find the one with the XML files.6. Can't see XML? Press cntl command . To show hidden files.7. Copy the effects XML and favorites XML to a folder on your desktop.8. Navigate to your library in finder.9. Open the location of your new Adobe audition installation preferences. If you don't know where this is. Go back 2 steps to the XML finder window. I just spent two hours talking to Apogee customer service and all the settings on the Duet are correct. I saw another similar thread and have troubleshooted the Audio Hardware settings in Audition. It's all set to the Apogee Duet. Signal goes into the Duet fine and the Duet Control app on my desktop.  But no matter what I do I can't get a signal into Audition itself.

Hello,I have an audio/ video recording from my security camera. The audio volume is quiet and has background noise. I have normalized the audio and manually plucked away unwanted sounds. I also tried most of the sofware features however my results have not been very good. I typically end up with thin, tinny sound and the speech is hard to understand. I need the audio to be good enough to use in Court. I am new to the Audition Software and I really need someone to nudge me in the right direction.  I attached a portion of the audio file. I want to uninstall Adobe Audition. It Runining in my windows 10. but when i went to uninstall i doesn't appear in programs and features.

Posted this on Premiere forum but figured I'd reach out here as well.Just seeking clarification on the following:For a STEREO sequence, I've noticed that routing MONO audio tracks to Stereo Submixes or the Stereo master mix results in a -3db attenuation, which I assume is due to pan law. In a MULTICHANNEL sequence, routing MONO audio tracks to a Stereo Submix also results in a -3db attenuation. However, when routing the MONO track to the multichannel master mix, no attentuation occurs at all.  Can someone explain to me why that is?
