I really need to keep the cover art for my files when I edit them -- for some reason, Audition will keep the some of the metadata (Title, Artist, Year), but not the cover art. Is there a way to fix this? I'm using Audition 2021, Build 14.1.0.43
Is there no option for returning the playhead to the beginning of a multitrack?I know the option to return the playhead to the starting position when you stop playing, but that's not what I want. I can't believe there isn't a "To Front or To Beginning and To End" button.
Hi, I accidentally deleted an audio file in waveform. Is there any chance I can get it back?
Hi all, When I record with Audition CS5.5: MusicHall-TT5.1 into Sony STR-DH190 then cabled (approximately 15', RCA L/R <--> 3.5mm into the "shared" line-in/mic port on a Creative SoundBlasterZ card. All the setting I can find are maxed at 100% but I can't levels in Audition above ~ -21. Years ago, different equipment and using CoolEdit2000 I often had to back off the machine's line levels to avoid clipping.A few days ago, I hadn't set the Creative control panel for the "multi-purpose" input port to Line-in (it was set to Mic). Those recording levels had to be backed down -- but the audio was garbage. What piece am I missing? A pre-amp? I contacted MH to find out if the 5.1 requires a pre-amp, _even though_ the Sony DH190 has decdicated Phono inputs. But alas MH makes good turntables (although I've got minor critiques) and doesn't pay a lot of attention to its clients.Any body have recommendations/suggestions for settings
Hi, I tried converting my mono multitrack session to stereo by opening the session file in text editor and changing the word "mono" to "stereo" where it states the session type. The problem is that now it does say it's a stereo session when I open it in Audition but I hear everything only on one channel. Any idea why? Thank you!
When I open a project, everything is fine, but as the playhead progresses over a few seconds, it starts to jump by larger time increments, same for the level meters and anything involving a meter (compression, EQ, etc.). It's so bad I can't actually see anything going by for editing purposes. Playback audio is fine, no lagging or glitching. It's just the display and metering. Computer is wicked powerful--things were working just fine like yesterday. However I have noticed this major task manager drain for Adobe CEF helper that is extreme. When I try to kill it in TM nothing happens. Causation or correlation? Video card? HELP! And thank you! JP
Hola muy buen día, me encuentro en un problema, pues luego de grabar una conferencia en audition, cerré el programa y no guarde la conferencia ¿cómo puedo recuperar lo grabado? ¿Me pueden ayudar por favor?
Hey, I recognize that logistically this doesn't make a lot of sense, but is there a way to scrub through what you've already recorded in multitrack without stopping the record? For example, my wife and I do a podcast, sometimes I want to scrub back and listen to something we said 15 minutes earlier, but if I stop the record to go back, I end up with a whole new file which can get tedious. Just wondering if I'm missing something or if this is a crazy thing to ask for. Thanks!
How can I resize the hover panel, like the RX9?
So trying to install the latest update, some problem with not being able to create an icons folder (error 145) and I cannot get access to that folder to create one. Any ideas?
When I switch menus or functions (ie: clicking the "play" > button, or switching between tracks) there is an auto generated piano note played. It's super annoying and interferes with recording. How does one turn that off? This is in Audition 22.1.1 Thanks!
I have a session in CS6 with 6 tracks. I had it open for a while and have been able to listen to it without problems for about 3 weeks now. Yesterday when I planned continuing with my session 5 of the 6 tracks were totaly blank. No sound at all and just an empty green line. Despite that the files are around 40 MB each (empty!) What shall I do? Any suggestions? Richard
I love Audition. But one argument that I frequently lose is that Audition sucks at handling playback speed. People are spending countless hours editing audiobooks, youtube videos, and podcasts and we want to go faster. In Audition, there are only a couple options for this. One is JKL shuttle which is horrible. It's too fast for accurate detail editing at any speed that it can be set to and it chipmunks like crazy. The other way is to time stretch it down, work through it, and then time stretch it back up. Doing that also chipmunks and adds some strange gravel sound to voices and it also causes issues with marker placement. Why can Audacity and Reaper have far superior playback options than Audition? Especially Reaper's ability to maintain pitch while speeding up. I love Audition but time is everything when editing long form and that feature alone is enough for me to switch to Reaper. The last thing that I want to do is learn a new DAW but this is something that Audition should ha
Hello All,I create short films, and I usually do most of my audio post in Premiere. I'm teaching myself more Audition because it's obviously a far superior program. Every time I get to this stage, however, I hesitate because of the following problem: When editing dialog, fixing those room tone shifts is often the bulk of my work. My method is to dig around for slices of room tone deep inside clips, combine the slices, smooth them over with crossfades, reverses, etc. This is a little easier to do in Audition for a number of reasons (I like being able to combine clips into one file, AND the reverse speed often doesn't work properly in Premiere!) I use the "Edit in Audition" option in Premiere to bring the project into Audition, but, as we know, it only allows you to bring in 9.9 second handles and then exports extracts. If I want to search for room tone beyond those 9.9 second handles (which is quite frequently the case) is my only option to re-import the original audio files into th
(Audition CC) Right in the middle of a multitrack session mixdown, my Audio Hardware settings began defaulting to 48KHz even though the session is set for 44.1K and all of the files in the session are 44.1K. This results in horrible sample dropping during playback and renders Audition unusable. MME did not throw up any errors or warnings, and MME is the only Device Class that will recognize my devices. The sample rate listed under Latency: (48,000Hz) in the Audio Hardware dialog is unchangeable. This dialog also indicates a sample rate of 48K no matter what file or session is open, and the vast majority of my files and sessions are 44.1K and are all unusable until I get this solved. Any thoughts on why this is happening or what to do about it?
Hello. Until today I was able to select one portion of my audio and add an effect, such as to de-ess a specific portion. But today every time I try to do that it does it to the entire clip which degrades my audio. I have no idea why this started happening or how to fix it. Please let me know what to do. Thank you
Recording in Adobe Audition 2021, default settings are in place and I still can't record. If I press the red record button, nothing happens. Doesn't begin recording. Help!
I have downloaded and installed the Rode ASIO driver for Windows, and have configured the Podcaster to accept the USB & microSD card. I opened up Audtion and under preferences>Audio Hardware, the device class is set to MME, where I see under the input dropdown >Mono> [M01] Microphone (RODECaster Pro Multichannel) 1 and [M02] Microphone (RODECaster Pro Multichannel) 2. All the other RodeCaster channels are missing. If I switch to device class and set to ASIO, and choose RODECaster Pro ASIO, I get Error message "Not working - The device did not start". USB cable into computer from Podcaster working as the computer recognized Podcaster and I completed a firmware update to current version (2.1.2). Any ideas to get all eight PodCaster channels identified in Audition?
I'm used to scrolling on a timeline with two fingers but all of the sudden that stopped working but single finger works. It's driving me crazy. Anyone has any idea how to rest this?
Amigos!
My sound wont export with the mp3,can not find the master choice?
Good morning,I'm doing a music podcast that uses old 7" singles in which some have the 60s wide seperation stereo, standard stereo, and mono tracks, as well as digital music. The probel I have, is levels. I use the match level option to -14LUFS, but I still get sme files quieter, and some louder, depending of the age of the track. If I was playing out live, I would be using a mixer, and control gain, but for this podcast I do on my laptop. On the mix channel, I have FabFilter Pro-Q to kill some of the muddier low end, and I use Izone Maximizer for limiting. With the limiter, I could push it so all tracks trigger the limiter, but then some will be too compressed.Does anyone have any suggestions to get a more even level, for a better listening experience?
I'm working in AU in Adobe Creative Suite, v. 22.1.1.23. I finished a multi-track session with autosave on (6 or 7 saved copies) of .sesx files. ALL of them were empty when. I reopened them. So where are all the support files hidden? 5 hours of work. Ridiculous...
my homework was confusing me quite a bit, and i was hoping someone here could help me. I added the dynamic processing to background music, but i cant figure out how to sidechain it to narration. side chain just isnt an option available for me. when looking at the picture that was provided in my homework, i noticed some differences. in the provided pictue, theres is the option to toggle the side track, but i dont have that option. please help me understand what i did wrong.here is a picture of what im doing: and heres a picture of the sample here is the assignment instructions(im stuck on numbers 3-4):"Open the Multitrack Session named Side-Chaining.sesx in Audtion.from Chapter 09content. (Fig 1)2. Apply a Dynamic Processing effect to the insert of the Background music track. (Fig2).3. Enable the Side-chain button on the Dynamic Processing effect (Fig 3).4. Switch to Send mode in the track editor and add side-chain send for the Narration channel. The only option sh
I have a track with light noise intermingled with the piano and vocals (from a microphone rubbing on something, I think?). Unfortunately, I can't have it redone, but have been trying to eliminate the noise in Audition. Normally, I'd capture the noise print and voila, but I don't have an isolated part with the noise alone. It's always mingled with the instruments, so I'd be eliminating the music along with it. I'd love any suggestions on how to best get rid of this sound while preserving the music. To give you a precise idea, I clipped out a teensy bit of the track so you can hear the noise mixed in with the piano. You can hear my sample snippet online here:https://sndup.net/cjqy/ Thanks so much; would really appreciate some guidance.
