Hi there, I'm having an issue with lag (not latency) while editing multitrack projects with lots of clips in audition. I have a hotkey to select all clips to the right of the playhead, but every time I use this hotkey and try to move all the clips to the right of the playhead (hundreds of clips), I get at least a full five seconds of lag. This makes it virtually impossible to edit a podcast. I have a new Macbook Pro, SSD, which should be more than capable of running Audition. I have no effects going in my effects racks, no markers. What I'm editing is just two long audio files (an interview) that have been snipped up a whole bunch of times in Descript to remove verbal fillers and for flow. This project was started as an export from Descript, but it's happened with other projects that I started in Audition. I just recently installed Audition less than a month ago and this has been a recurring issue. It happens mainly when I select a large number of clips and try an
Hi! For the last few days I have been editing a podcast episode in Audition and I made sure to save the project multiple times throughout the day - I have lost my projects before and didn't want it to happen again. I was almost finished but decided to do some touch ups with the Parametric Equalizer, it began loading but took quite some time and then crashed. When Audition opened again I was greeted by the message in the picture and I lost the most recent version of my project as it opened a very early version (when not a lot of editing was done). Does anyone know if I can get the most recent version of my project back? Like I said: I did save it and all the files are on my Mac in my Downloads folder. I didn't move them during the editing proces so that didn't complicate things - they have been there the whole time. I am on a Mac (10.15.4) and running Audition 2020 13.01.10.32. P.S.: If you could, please explain it like I am 5 🙂 T
I was working on a session yesterday. And AGAIN, I closed it, opened it this morning and was greeted by this:I've lost all the files. They're there. Just all closed. This is happening SO often now. Sure, I can go back and re-link them one at a time, but I don't have time (OR THE DESIRE) to do that. Am I the only one with this problem?? Am I cursed?I'm on a Mac, 10.13.4, running Audition CC Build 11.1.0.184.
I have never had an issue recording in Audition, however, when I opened a project the other day and tried to lay down a new recording, it was (as best as I can describe it) very glitchy and choppy (listen here). I searched around and tried to make some modifications and setting chages, but nothing is working. I've only had Audition open when recording, reduced the buffer size, etc. Would really appreciate any insights to correct this issue, as I'm dead in the water right now. This week Creative Cloud updated Audition to v14.0 and now it frequently stops responding, obliging me to open the Windows Task Manager to shut it down. After that, it sometimes will not start again until I go into Windows Task Manager and delete all running instances of it (typically four or five instances). When Audtion does start, I get this message: "A previous session of Audition quit unexpectedly. You may open the recovered session now, delete it, or choose at a later time." It looks like I still have Adobe Audition Build 13.0.13.46 installed, so I suppose I should continue that until 14.0's issues are resolved? Any suggestions? Cge cosa devo fare? Aiutatemi, per favore
Hi! I recently bought a a song in CD quality from Qobuz but I noticed that the vocals in parts of it were harsh and peaked (like you know for example if there is a prolonged "ooooo" or "aaaaaaaa" in the song(when they prolong the end of words) sometimes it sounds harsh and unnatural. I can't explain it better sorry. Do you have any idea how can I fix this in Adobe Audition if I can at all. It's probably bad recording or something but if you got tips on this it would be cool. I tried compression but the results aren't very satisfying, the whole song gets quieter. Do you know what effect could fix that and make the voice smoother but in the same time alter as little as possible the music and the whole song itself.
Hello there!I've been using a new camera, and to my surprise the external microphone picks up an internal 'pulsating' buzz. It buzzes on each second.I've been trying to remove it in Audition - noise prints, plugins, DeEsser... no luck.I can see where the buzz occurs - it's quite difficult to see. (images attached!)Can anyone here advise? I'd really appreciate it!
Estimados, los molesto para plantearles el siguiente problema:Al efectuar un 'Procesamiento por lotes' modificando cualquier campo de varios archivos, el resultado SIEMPRE me sustituye el campo 'GENERO' que tienen por 'OTHER'
Dear friends, I have two tracks that are played simultaneously in the "Multitrack" mode. But if I press the solo button on both tracks, the sound is overlaid. How can I make it so that when the "Solo" button is pressed on another track, the "Solo" button on the second track is wrung out? How to make sure that only the track on which this button is pressed is always played?
Im able to log in and everything but when i hit the recored button, adobe freezes and then stops responding. It has been doing this since early this morning. What should i do? Ive signed out and in, restarted computer... Think i should delete the program and reinstall? (very scared to do that)
Please help me solve the problem. I broke my audio signal schedule, can't find a solution to the problem on the internet. I attached a picture to the email. How do I make a graph like the one on the right in the picture?
Was using notch filter to remove some 200k in a 3-minute stereo wav. Decided to make no changes but now I have about a 5db bump of 200k in entire file. I've tried everything including undo, history, effects rack stuff, etc. Is this a known problem? Thanks,Ethan
At the top of the spectral display around 9k there is a noise/frequency(?) How do I isolate and get rid of that. The low level noise shown here I am able to remove through capture noise print then noise reduction. But I don't know how to get rid of the higher noise. When I run the noise reduction process, it only remains while my guest is speaking.
I was wondering if it's now time to update OSor should I wait a few more months.
I have a random thing that happens when I record VO. Sometimes there is a trailing sound after I stop talking. It seems to pop up at various times and I can find no connection to link the times together. I may go a whole session without it then have to pop up several times in another session. I am attaching a sound clip. can anyone tell me what is causing this and what I can do to avoid it?
Is there a way to stop auto-select when I am using punch and roll recording. Sometimes all I want to do is take a breath, but with the timeline selected I can't start back easily. I'd like to stop recording then start back with one simple click.
I have several WAV files that I converted from MP4 videos using Switch Sound File Converter. The problem is that when I try to open those WAV files in Audition I just get Audition's blank gray screen, no wave forms, no errors. I would think the problem is the WAV files themselves, however they open fine in other apps including Audacity and REAPER. I've tried re-saving (exporting) the WAVs from Audacity, but Audition still treats them as though there's no content; Audition just displays a gray screen. While I'm sure to figure out a workaround, I'm curious: What is it about these WAVs (example attached) that Audition is being intolerant of while other (far less expensive) apps have no issue with? Thanks.
I've created and exported 12 multitrack mixdowns, put them on a CD, and only one has random pops and crackles. These pops aren't heard in Audition or as an exported WAV on my computer, just when it's put to a disc. And to add more confusion, I'm pretty sure it sounded fine on a test CD a week ago (which I threw out a few days ago) Format: WAVE PCMSample Type: Source sample rate, Source channels, 16-bitNew Sample Type: 44100 Hz stereo, 16-bitFormat Settings: Wave uncompressed, 16-bit integer
Hello. I'll start off by saying I'm new to the world of audio engineering. I'm a voice actor and I use Adobe Audition to record voice tracks. I just bought a new Macbook Air with macOS Big Sur 11.2.3. I've tried to setup Audition to begin using the new Mac for work, but somehow even with matching settings to the old Mac (Macbook Air OS Cataline 10.15.7) ,Adobe Audition is showing two channels of audio as if recording in stereo. I want to record in mono but it's not letting me? I am confused. I'm attaching screenshots of the settings and audio waves from both the old and new Mac to see if anyone can help me figure out how to fix this issue and record the way I always have. Thanks!
(So far, I haven't found any problem with any other shortcut, hence the thread title.) I am quite used to the "Save as .." shortcut of Ctrl+Shift+S whilst working in both Waveform and Multitrack views. The File menu lists the shortcut as that combination of keys, as does the Keyboard Shortcuts list. Indeed clicking on Save as.. on the File menu produces the expected screen for entering the details of the file to be saved. However, in this latest release of AA, in both Waveform and Multitrack, using that key combination produces this screen, which I have never seen before and have absolutely no idea to what it applies: Anybody else seeing this, or is this something strange on my computer? If it is unique to me, any ideas on how to "correct" the problem? TIAJeff
Crunches, ringing, pre-echo, birdie sounds, drop-outs, rattling, warbling, metallic ringing, underwater feeling, weird sibilant swooshes, etc... Any tips? Thanks in advance PS Photoshop has AI options to fix JPEG artifacts ... is there an analogous feature in Audition, existing or planned?
I use Mp4 in Premiere Pro. - Taken with photo camera.I would like not to use an external mic for my video, and wonder. Is there a way I can take only the audion from the Premiere Pro file and improve that in Audio?
