Hi there,I've recently bought a Rode Complete Studio Kit that includes the AI-1 Interface. While it has excellent preamps and works well using MME and WASAPI drivers, on my fully updated Windows 10 (20H2) machine, Rode's ASIO drivers do only work at a Sample Rate of 48000 Hz in Audition. As soon as I change the Sample Rate to any other value, Audition tells me that the "device could not be opened".The error occurs in Audition 13.0.13, 14.0 and the current Beta version – it occurs regardless of whether I check "Use machine-specific device defaults" and if I attempt to force the hardware to the document's Sample Rate, I end up with the driver running at 48000 Hz anyway (with no audio being recorded above 24 kHz, even though it should, had forcing the hardware actually succeded). The Sample Rate settings in Windows for input and playback devices do not affect the error at all. Running into a very strange problem. In the waveform view of an mp3 file, I'm seeing a section of peaked audio -- amplitude statistics are below.  My sound engineer client, who created the file in ProTools, says that there's a hard limit at -4 dB and it's not possible for there to be clipping. Is there a setting for the Audition meters that I'm not seeing? Are files getting imported with a volume boost somehow? I've pushed back on this twice already and I want to make sure all my bases are covered before I hit send a third time.

In Audition, I have been recording narration for a year. I have changed no settings and now when I record, the playback has a delay that I can't get rid of... Any thoughts?

There should be a way to copy & paste keyframes in Audition.I have a revised music track but the rest of the audio is the same. I'd like to copy the volume keyframes from the old music track to the revised track, as the dips will all remain the same for the revised track, rather than doing all the work all over again.'Seems like this should be a simple copy/paste attributes but I can't find any option to do that.Am I missing something somewhere?I'm using Audition CC Build 11.1.0.184On a mid-2014 MacBook Pro running High Sierra 10.13.3Note:  I'm cross posting this to Audition CS5.5, CS6 & CC.Thanks!~ART~

HelloI am having trouble getting adobe Auction 3.0 to start. It has been fine working previously for years now, but starting getting stuck on Friday.The software launches, but it gets stuck on 'initializing required application components'.On Friday, I updated my Nvidia card with the latest drivers. I also used shadowplay for the first time. I think this is what might have caused the problem (audition was fine before). I thought it was maybe because shadowplay was accessing the mic, but even when I deactivate the mic in shaowplay, audition still won't start.It is worth mentioning  that another software, Replay Media Capture, also started doing the same thing at the same time.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Whenever I try and import and MP4 file to open its audio track, the program freezes and eventually crashes if I try and click anywhere (Not Responding). I need to be able to open the videos in order to create VTT subtitle files precisely.

Hello, everyone! I've used Audacity for years and it has met my needs up until now. I have an issue I'm trying to resolve and I cannot find a way to do it with Audacity. I have acutally never used Audition, and do not know if Audition can possibly help, but I thought I reach out and ask. Here is my issue: I need to remove the sound of bubbles which can be heard playing when this song begins. Unfortuntately, the bubble sound plays over the very first part of the song, so I can't just crop the sound.  Is there a way to tell Audition to look for a specific sound (such as the bubbles playing) and instruct it to seek that sound out and remove it? Let me know if you need me to clarify, and thanks ahead of time for any advice you may have.  

Thanks in advance for anyone's advice. I've been producing a podcast for a while now, but recently, one of my audio tracks are not playing. It's the yellow track that is not playing. It doesn't play even if I jack the dbs all the way up. Everything else plays. I'm kind of an audition noob, but I'm learning.  

In the latest Audition CC 2017 I use:Diagnostics -> Delete Silence - > Preset "Trim Long Silen Pauses". I scan - it finds all the pauses as expected.But no matter what I do It will always REMOVE all the long silent pauses instead of just trimming.Am I misunderstanding the "Settings" that say "Fix by Shortening Silence 100 ms" ? (can be set to any amount of ms)In a audio file that consists of speak It makes no sence to remove the long pauses completely.

In the insert mode recording, markers from the previously recorded sound, do not move and are always locked to the timeline.

Sorry, it's probably a trivial question for you but a big deal for me. Building an FFT filter, how can I expand the dynamics of frequencies (to start at 1Hz) and dB (+45, -45)? I only see a panel with a fixed frequency value 20 Hz and sound level+ 12 dB ...Thanks in advance 

I often use the Spectral Display to single out noises, and fix them.For no reason, Adobe Audition 2021 - 14.4.0.38, just decided that even though I draw a box around the low frequencies, it plays the entire spectrum and ignores my selcetion. The in and out points of the box still work as the loop feature works... Did I press a key or toggle something off? I can't find ANYTHING and it has rendered the software almost useless to me.How do I get it to listen to my selection and play just that? It ALWAYS used to, and every video guide I see has it working without issue. 

I'm just finishing up a podcast, which has six tracks in Audition 13.0.13.46.  I'm editing on an old iMac -- mid-2011 which has topped out at High Sierra Version 10.13.6.  This has caused numerous crashes, but uintil I can afford a new computer, this is the best I can do.  I did the mix last night, and have now attempted to do a Mixdown to a New File for export and publishing.   The process aborts with this ominous red alert:   I have been backing up the session with all files on an external drive, so can backtrack if necessary (this did not happen on previous mixdowns).  But obviously, it would help to know what can trigger this scary alert. Any thoughts? THANK YOU!   Incidentally, we are planning a future episode on how technology is increasingly "incompatible" with Baby Boomers like me, and we're seeking input from experts and hapless laypeople as well.  Please let me know at ron@ourgenpod.com if yo

I am making some language-learning recordings and I would like to insert a fixed amount of silence, say 10 seconds for example, between phrases in the recording. Is there a way for audition to recognize pauses between each phrase and change them all to the 10 second pause setting? Thanks!

I upgraded my iMac from a 2012 base model to a new M1 iMac.  I reinstalled Audition and now most of my 3rd party VST and VST3 plugins won't show up.  I have checked and re-checked all the pathways and still can't seem to resolve the issue.  Also, my VST3 are now showing as AU...and not working properly. The VST3 plug-ins are installed on my new iMac, but they will NOT register in the plug-in scan as VST3 on Adobe Audition.  I don't know what I'm doing wrong. David O.

Hey,I have made a big mistake while putting ambiences throughout a 1,5 hour film. I added the surround ambience-poly files to a surround track and just used the 5.1 track panner to get the sound from each speaker.. It sounded OK using headphones with waves nx, but now when i have a calibrated 5.1 studio its just a mess. Comb filtering everywhere! Not a shocker, I suspect Audition is putting all 5 tracks, merged together in all 5 speakers. I can see in the clip properties on the source channel routing everything is where it should, but still i do not get all the mono files out of the separate speakers. What am i doing wrong here? I assume the worst, that I will have to re-add all the ambience into separate channels for L R C Ls Rs, but is there a way to "split track into mono files" in the multitrack view? Like when holding ALT before dropping a poly file, it splits the file into mono tracks. But is there a way to do this with already dropped clips on the timeline?

I played the audio in VLC i can hear left and right headphones with the voice but in audition left side of the headphone I can only hear voice... how can I fix this. I think this is audio mapping problem. I check wave form only the center of 5.1 have the voice audio...

I want to delete silences in a long audio file (>4h). It works perfect as long I select less than 20 min. As soon as I select more than 20 min the "cleaned" parts are messed up. Here is a short video to demonstrate my problem:

Even leaving comments is frustrating. What does "Enter a Body" and a Bunny icon mean in a text field. I had a simple project, cut up a long audio track, save the project (with assets), and then burn chapters to DVD or multiple CDs.Got soo close.Burning this to CD results in Chapter 5 first every time.The arrow next to name flips the order of displayed tracks but not the order that they ar burned in.I used to know how to use Audition, and Cool Edit 2000 before Adobe bought it.After a dozen DVDs and CDs, I'm going to use Audacity. 

I've digitized a number of old LPs, which have audible clicks throughout many of the songs.  How much reservation one should use when using the Auto Click Remover tool?  Is it a bad idea to select the each entire track and apply the Auto Click Remover, or does the Auto Click Remover often have to sacrifice a bit of sound quality, effecting parts of the track that are not clicks?  I know, if I can't tell it doesn't matter, but I'm just wondering, technically, if this is how it works?  Thank you for your help!

Looking to normalise an hour long wav in Audition 2021, before using a 'hard limit' on it, and then publishing. The unprocessed / original audio is recorded around -5db.I seem to get the best / most 'normalisation' when I normalise to a low percentage, but this then lowers the volume considerably before I boost it again with the hard limit. Is this too much processing? Is it too detrimental to the audio? Am I better going with less normalisation and letting the hard limiter do all the work?I don't have a pro audio monitoring set up at the moment so it's hard to tell just using my ears. Earlier versions of Audition didn't give me the option of lowering the percentage of normalisation, it just did an arbitery amount from what I could tell, so it hasn't been such an issue in the past.All help is greatly appreciated. 

Hello Everyone.By default when I Click on Space-Bar, It dose Toggle-Playback. I want to change it to Pause only, but I cant. It seems like you can not change it.I would like to assign the Pause to Sapce, rather than Control+Shift + SpaceThanks.

Hello all, Does anyone know of a way to cut and paste audio file text info from Audition into a word processing docuemnt, like Microsoft Word? It would save me so much time if I could someone cut and paste file names and time duration without having to go through and do it manually.   Many thanks! 

Audition CC on Mac will not access all input hardwareRunning AA CC on my iMac, the program will not allow me to access 2 separate USB inputs. One a USB mic and the other a USB external soundcard, both of which  work perfectly well with other software. I am attempting to record one track in multitrack with one device and a secong track simultaneously with the other USB  input device. Any help would be greatly appreciated before I shift my attention to another DAW.I am coming over to AA CC on a Mac where both USB inputs are active in system prefs from a windows PC using Adobe Audition 3 where this is as normal and easy as breathing.

Hi,I have some old .ses files from an earlier project I did in 2005. Now when I try to open them in Audition CS6, I only get an error saying: "We were unable to open this file using any of the currently available importers. It is either corrupt or using an unsupported format."I have checked the option in Media & Disk Cache saying: "Enable DLMS Format Support", but it doesn't help.I'm not sure what version of Audition I used back then.Is there any way I can solve this?
