I worked previously editing audio from movies with Cool Edit Pro without major problems, but since it doesn't work under Windows 10, so I've 'upgraded' to Adobe Audition. Now with Au, when loading a movie, despite taking care about codecs, it does not load the video of most of the movies, or just the first minutes, for sure I am doing it wrongly, but after days and days of trying diferent codecs, containers, bitrate, etc... I need some help.Thank You
HAS ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET REGISTRATION CODE FOR OLDER AUDITION 3. HAVE TRIED SOME CRACK SITES BUT THEY LOOK A BIT DODGY. THANKS
As soon as I record my microphone is extremely noisy when no one is talking, as soon as you talk you can't hear it anymore. Unfortunately, this is only the case with Audition and not with other programs. What can I do about it?
So I'm happily editing - and suddenly - I lose the RIGHT channel in my playback. I cycle through all the hardware option - but I can only hear the left channel. It's weird and frustrating. Is there a playback option I'm not seeing? I want my RIGHT channel back!!
I have a bunch of videos that I downloaded via dropbox that I need to edit the audio to but when I import them to Audition, no sound will play. I can see the video playing in the bottom left and the levels going up and down but no sound will come through my speakers nor headphones. How do I solve this?
Back in and around september Adobe did a massive update. I have updated all I can, I have looked at forums. Heck I can't even reach these guys because their stupid chat icon just won't pop up for me. Audition keeps running like garbage. I can't move the track cursor around without a 10-25 second lag (as an editor for a podcast this is extremely time consuming as a 2-3 hour job is taking me 20 hours now). It stops responding, It lags when I use the cut button, it takes 5 years for some functions to even think about working, and up until this update it worked like a damn dream. I just bought this desktop back in June because my laptop wasn't handling Premiere Pro and I do graphic design, videography, and photography on top of podcasting. I haven't checked Premier Pro because the lockdown has had me indoors for most of the year, but even the other programs just stop running unexpectedly sometimes. That update messed everything up, and every update since has not solved the issue. I don't r
Hi, how can I record in the middle of the file where Audition creates a buffer so as not to copy over already recorded information. For example, In the middle of a file, I would like to do three versions of one phrase or sentence.Currently, Audition only allows for the amount of space previously recorded to do the recording in and then it starts to copy over the wave. Please help guide me on how to tell Audition to create a buffer for unlimited recording space within the file.Thank you!
Hi, I'm applying a DeNoise effect on my sound. However I get a different result depending if I apply it to the track or to the clip. It seems to be way more efficient when it's applied to the clip. Is that normal? I'd prefer to be able to use on the track since I have quite a few clips I need the effect on. Thanks for any advice
Marker data written to files in Adobe Audition can't seem to be read by other programs, such as Audacity or Ableton. Does anyone of any other programs can read (and even better write) markers to files in a way that can be shared with Audition? (Ideally ones that are free or have free versions!)
I already had Adobe audition 3 (software) installed on my tower. I upgraded to windows 10 and while Audition opens and I can open files, the play function does not work. HELP!
Given covid restrictions I'm currently working on a project with dialogue captured in different studios and different times. To try and match the audio captured we recorded in the same sample rate and bit depth. Now when editing im having a couple of issues with matching dialogue. I have improved this with some effects, namely the graphic equalizer. It still isn't matched to a standard im happy with. I tried to figure out why this would be and used the Frequency Analysis panel. I found that the frequency maxes out at different points and wondered if anyone knew how i could adjust this. I have attached a screenshot of my frequency analysis.Hope i have provided enough useful information,Harvey
I have a file that got some weird interference from something when recorded, so the wave editor shows a grid of thin horizontal lines every 50 Hz from the bottom all the way to the top. Each can be easily removed with a well-placed DeHummer, but doing that 400 times manually is not realistic, so I was thinking of creating a basic script (or Favorite, as I learned it's called) for the first DeHummer at 50 Hz , and then see if I can edit it's file (for example in a spreadsheet) to add all the other frequencies. The problem is I can't even find the file for the Favorite I created.Does anyone know where these Favorite files are stored (on a Windows 10 system), or maybe a better way to do what I need?
I've tried finding adaquate solutions for this particular feature. In previews versions of Adobe Audition, you were able to (before importing) preview the file. This seems to have been deleted as a feature.Having just switched over to CC - with some hesitance, for workflow sake, I'm in need of this particular function. Is there a work around, or a setting I may be missing?
I have attached a video to visibly show you what is wrong because I am really bad at technical terms. But basically, I have a perfectly functional video. I import it to Adobe Audition, or Adobe Premiere as well. Both do the same thing. Then I press play and its just static. You can't even hear the original audio file at all. I don't even do anything in audition to cause this. Just import the video and its suddenly all messed up. How do I fix this?
When burning CDs with Adobe Audition there is a 2 second pause between tracks by default. I wish to have a 1 second gap, I realise you can change this manually track by track but can you alter the pause to 1 second altogether in one hit?
A service provider was supposed to record a .wav file for me with Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24, to match other .wav recordings which had already been recorded with Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24. Instead they recorded it with Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz and Bit Depth: 16. Having acknowledged their mistake, they now say they've "fixed" it by converting it to Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24. The properties of their "fixed" file do now show Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24. But my understanding is (and everything that I read on the subject says) that such a conversion / upscale is a scam of sorts, and that, even though the file size is now larger, the audio quality is not - and cannot be - improved. They, however, insist that I'm wrong, and refuse to re-record correctly. When I point them to information on the subject online, they tell me it's wrong. Are they right, or am I? And, if it's me who's right, what can I do and/or tell them to convince th
I have a video attached showing you visually what is happening. I import a perfectly functional video file, and then audition just reads it as static. I don't know how to fix this, nor can I seem to find the solution anywhere. Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... I have the latest version of Audition, and out of nowhere this issue started happening. I didn't change anything, it just started out of nowhere. I use Audition specifically for voice overs, so I record in mono. While I am editing (both in waveform and multitrack) I can hear the audio perfectly from both channels. But now for some reason once I export it, there is an electrical buzz and it only plays out of one channel (using either headphones or speakers). I tried the very same exported audio file on a different computer with different speakers & headphones, and it is totally fine. So I'm at a loss. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have been using Audition 1.5 for MANY years and just discovered that Adobe has been updating. It's time for me to move to the newest version but I still have 1.5 projects I am working on. Can I bring in session files from 1.5 into the newest version and have the all the clips drop into the right places in multitrack?
While working on the project Audition 6.0 unexpectedly closed with an error and did not offer to restore the project, I started looking for a solution and found a backup folder, it contains files with a large weight, but Audition does not open them, please help
Hello,it would be useful to add arbitraty text notes/comments under each frequency points in parametric equalizer. For example when I cut off some frequency it would be nice to store the comment why I did it in past. These comments may help to understand mixes dones some time ago.
I'm in the waveform view. I right clicked on the record button and selected the Timed Record Mode. When I initiate the recording, a window pops up with the option to start immediately or at a speecific time. I choose immediately. The other options are unlimited time or a specified ampunt of time. i enter the the timecode equivalent of 17 seconds. The problem is the recordin will not stop at 17 seconds. I've tried different timeframes but the recording will not stop at the specified length. Obviously, the short lengths arent a problem. I'm only using those for testing. I need it to stop at 2 hours and 30 minutes and I will not be at the desktop to stop it. What am i doing wrong? Also, I just updated to the latest version (13.0.13.46) Thanks
Today Audition suddenly started dropping audio while recording. I have not changed anything or added any additional software or hardware. My set up:MacBook Pro 15" 2018 2.6 GHZ 6 Core i7 16GB Ram OS 11.1 Focusrite Scarlet 18i20 v2 as clock source, sample rate 48khzRodecasterPro sample rate 48khzThey are set as an aggregate device with drift crrection on both as per Apple.Audition matches these settings. This is only happening in Audition and does not happen when recording in Logic Pro.I have changed the clock source, rebooted the computer and hardware to not avail. I'm at a complete loss as to why this is happening
Hi, I run a podcast and I've been trying to get an interface that isn't crazy expensive for a while. I finally got a Phoinikas T-10 interface with multiple USB plug-ins because we use 2 Snowball microphones for recording, and they have a USB plug. Before, when I tried to plug in two microphones, only one would register and we'd have to squeeze around the one microphone. Now, it registers the two microphones and I'm able to set it up to where it should (theoretically) record from both mics, but nothing is picked up when I hit the "R" for record on the tracks. I don't know what I'm doing wrong; I feel like it's a super simple solution, because the system picks up both mics, it just won't feed any audio through said mics. PLEASE HELP!! It's almost 2 am and I'm losing my mind over this. If anyone has literally any idea why it wouldn't be working, please let me know. If you need pictures, I can do my best to send some.
