Audition

I'm sure its not the most elegant way to clean audio, but we get big batches and have to select files out of them, clean them and save them out. Previous versions of  Audition you could select several files ( Untitled1, Utitiled2, Untitled3 ect.) close them, the "Would you like to save these files?" dialog box would come up. Before you could simply click "Yes to All" and it would let you name the files in order. Now it picks randomly from the list in no particular order ( Untitled3?, then Untiltled8? then Untitled 10????) How can I stop this from happening? This is really slowing me down.

What is the latest version of Audition???

Updated recently to 13.0.  Had several effects rack presets saved.  When I try to import the effectsrack.xml file from 12.0, I get "cannot upload due an unkown error".    Thoughts?  

Although I downloaded Adobe's free CS2 several years ago, just tonight tried to install the Audition 3.0 that came with it but now it is asking for an activation code. Is there a code for Audition 3.0? I have the serial number given at the time of the giveaway but no activation code.

Hello, we need help creating a multitrack session for a podcast. We have loaded various .wav files into the session and edited them in the waveform editor. Unfortunately, the edits are not transferred to the multitrack; the unedited .wav files are still there, so to speak, even after saving. Can someone help us?

Would LOVE to see a Strip Silence feature added to Audition in a Multitrack session. I'm working to simulate the Logic Pro Strip Silence feature.In short, it identifies all silent areas in its multi-track editor, slices and then deletes the empty regions, so it ends up looking like the following.In Audition, I can add Markers in the Diagnostics panel to identify silent and speaking areas and then have those marker regions sent to the multi-track file with just a few clicks. I end up with screenshot 1 below. But, I then have to manually delete each of the silent areas to get to screenshot 2 below. Manually deleting them all won't work as I edit long podcasts and would delete hundreds of areas.Any thoughts on a better way to do this? Screenshot 1 - I can get to this pretty easily. Silent areas are marked and cut, but not yet removed.Screenshot 2: I have to manually select and delete each silent area to get to my ideal place, here. I edit VERY long podcasts so doing this manually isn't going to work.

I am having problem with overheating my mac book when i run audition adobe cc 2020 after recording after 2 hours.Called apple support i was advised adobe uses lot of cpu on activity monitor do any one has this problem..please helpIs mac book pro late 2018 model has the issue or adobe audition

I have an audio recording I have been trying to clean up for weeks with no luck. I want to hear the conversation on the recording but it is whispering and there is background noise. It is really important to me and would welcome any suggesions.Also Do people provide a service with this type of issue and is it expensive?Please let me know if you have any ideas.Thank you very much

Is there any way to add "rulers" to multi-track sessions in Audition?  What I mean by this is creating a line across the timeline that behaves similarly to a ruler in Adobe Photoshop; any audio clip could easily be snapped to that ruler by simply dragging the clip up to it.  The main advantage of this would be that multiple rulers could be created in consistent intervals (possibly through a dialog box or something) so that audio clips could be repeated more easily.  Is there any way to do anything like this in Audition?

Recently updated both Mac OS and Audition, and now any time I use ripple delete there's a slight delay between my keystroke and the operation. Is this happening for anyone else, or is it perhaps just a sign of my 2015 Macbook Air slowly dying on me?

I work in the Radio industry and process a lot of songs in readiness for airplay.Several versions ago, Audition changed the way the Playback behaviour works. As in the attached JPG screenshot, in the Waveform Editor|Scroll Type I choose "Centered"; and enable Auto-scroll when starting playback or recording.This works as expected in the first half of the file, but not towards the end of the file.Here's the issue: When zoomed fully out, I  place the play head in (say) the last 15 seconds of the file and start playing. Then I "Zoom To Selection". The display starts scrolling, but it doesn't match what I'm hearing, and the play head is not in the centre of the screen as it should be. This does sometimes work correctly if I use the Zoom In (Time) function, but not if I use Zoom To Selection as it used to. Strangely, it's only a problem towards the end of the file. A bug or "expected behaviour"? Thoughts? Phil

How can I record audio from Zoom meetings (I'm using a USB mixer for my microphone/Zoom input) directly into Audition?  (I also have access to and can use Audio Hijack if needed) Thank you(this is probably musch easier than I am making it)

Hi everybody, I have been working on improving the audio quality of my podcast. The biggest change I have made recently is that I am now recording directly into audition using two Shure SM7B microphones and a Zoom H4N as an audio interface. I always set the frequency to 44100 of the recorder and multitrack session, because I noticed pitch distortions and clicking when I recorded in 48000. I also set the bit depth to 32 (Float), but I am unsure if that affects anything. Anyways, I was recently able to reduce the latency of my monitoring enough that I can hear the audio without any delay. However, I have noticed thata I can always pick up on the room tone while monitoring. I am accustomed to removing this pitch after recording by capturing a noise print in the waveform and compensating forr it, but I was wondering if there is a way to do this over the track as a whole? By that, I mean it would be nice for the monitoring to sound cleaner and closer to the final recording, as I am finding

Forgive if the question was posted and answered already; I am new to audition and I am not an audio technician.I am analysing sounds generated by precision mechanics for medical implantable instruments, that are running into an anechoic box. The sounds are recorded with a mono mic inside the anechoic box. There is slight environmental noise and we can't imporve the noise insulation.Today I run a background track and I subtract it manually in Excel.I would like to know if I can use a second track, recording environmnetal noise by an external mic that I'll use to subtract to the engine sound track. This would be ideal as it is "cleaning" the original track. 

I am downsampling a sound file to reduce the file size. Converted from 44100k/32bit to 16000k/8bit.After downsampling the file developed a hiss. I used the Hiss Reduction process and it sounds great in Audition, but when I save the file and close it, then open it back up, the hiss is back.

I'm trying to find ways to cut down the amount of manual audio editing I do on small things and stumbled on the declicker feature. Does anyone know if it changes the quality of the guests' audio when applied? I can't tell if i was imagining a thinner sound after applying the heavy reduction setting. 

We all pay a lot of money for the Adobe Suite subscription, but for me, one of the most useful applications is one that was "promised" but still doesn't exist. A few years ago, Adobe teased us with an astonishing "Photoshop" for voice prototype. And that was it! Years have past and despite the interest, not another word about this product from Adobe, not even a lesser version.  Now, I learn that Techsmith just released an application that does almost everything I've wanted, that is,  Audiate. Go check it out. It allows for direct editing of voice waveforms with a Voice to Text interface. I haven't tested how good it is, but even if it's not perfect and it doesn't synthesize sentences, at least it's a start, especially for editing voice tracks.  How did Techsmith beat Adobe at their own game?  I'm looking forward to someone telling me that I am wrong and Adobe does have some hidden gem in the vast array of tools that are part of the Cloud package (75%

I am recording audio for a class project (I am doing a podcast pilot) and because of COVID my friend are recording are audio seperately. We talk over discord and both record our ends of the conversation. She sent me her audio (that she recorded on her laptop in adobe audition) and I want to open it on my laptop in Adobe Audition so I can put it in the interview slot (because she is the one I am interviewing). She sent me the audio but every time I download it and try to open it Adobe tells me the links are "offline" does anyone know why/ a better way for us to do this? I would really appreciate any help I can get! Thanks so much! 

Machine: MacBook Pro 16' (2019), 2.3GHz 8-core i9, 32GB RAM, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4GBOS: macOS 10.15.7 CatalinaAudition version: 13.0.12.45 I have this weird problem where if Audition is open (and a multitrack session is open) and I'm not recording, or working with the app for a few minutes, I come back to it to find that it's in the process of closing itself: a 'do you want to save changes?' dialog box is open. If I click 'yes' or 'no' then changes are saved (or not depending on which of these options I select) and the app closes, even though I have made no input to it, much less CMD + Q or anything remotely similar. Pressing 'Cancel' doesn't work because the dialog just reappears each time I press it. I'm usually connected to power when this happens, but it's happened on battery power as well. I've noticed it happening for a couple of weeks now, and it's extremely irritating! 1) is anyone else experiencing this weird issue?2) Anyone know what's going on? Thanks in

I don't know why but the plugins work and render as I am working with the tracks on the multitrack session and waveform but as soon as I apply the effect or export it, it doesn't go with the final output. The effect is nowhere to be heard. I am using the antares auto-tune and celemony melodyne plugins.

I'm using M-Audio 2x2.Somehow I've managed to change something andt now I record on only one channel in stereo input mode. Can someone please share with me what my hardware and software settings should be.  Thank you

Now that Premiere Pro has intergrated the Pandemic Sound music library into the Essential Sound panel and users everywhere are enjoying the ease of use that comes along with this arrangement, it begs the obvious question: why not have this same functionality in Audition? This would be an absolutely game changing feature for those of us who spend extended amounts of time in Audition and who also regularly need to audition music from outside sources. I'm also surprised that evidently no one here has asked this question yet, unless I have missed it.
