Hi, Having a frustrating time of it at the moment.I have imported some multitrack wav files for an SD card which was recorded on from the rodecaster podcast proNow when I go to edit a track, I highlight a section, push delete. But instead of it deleteing the audio it simply greys it out and silences it. I am wondering 1. how to fix2. Is it something to do with how the files were imported, because I tested recording straight into audition and it edited fine. Please help??
I can't get the mixer to communicate with Audition. Can someone step me through the process? LS
Novice question: I have a Sound Device MixPre 6 II connected to my MacBook Pro. I set the bit rate to 32 (float) but the unit will not allow me to set the sampling rate. Is this because Adobe Audtion (AA) set the sampling rate (which I want to be 48kHz)? I assume this because AA is doing the actual recording and thus must sample the incoming 32bit signal. Lastly, since I am here, if the MixPre is sending a 32bit signal and I accidentally set AA to 24bit, will it downsample the incoming signal or will the MixPre override AA in the case of bit rate? thanks, Otto p.s - first post. nice to be here.
I primarily edit long-form multi-speaker podcast audio. As such, I have a small number of long audio files that need some light cleanup before going into mixing. Recently, I've been falling more in love with the effects rack as a way to apply most of these fixes non-destructively and in a way that's easier both to replicate between episodes and tweak on-the-fly for each episode. There are a few usability issues, however, that are getting in the way, and I'd like to hear if there are workarounds that I'm not aware of: Solution 1: Apply effects destructively to each audio file using the effects menu. This works fine, but is hard to change later, and if you do the editing in multiple sit-downs, then you can lose the history menu and, if you want to un-apply an effect (e.g. applied too harsh of noise reduction), then you need to start over from the original audio files. Solution 2: Use effect presets, tweak the effects rack on the audio file, then apply the whole rack destructive
Hey guys I am attempting to make use of the studio reverb effect in Audition, and for the most part am succesful. However It does not let me adjust the width slider at all, as it appears greyed out. If anyone has a fix for this or knows what I am doing wrong, Please let me know. Thanks Ya'll
Hi everyone. Recently I purchased two new Shure SM7B microphones to use to in recording podcasts. I am using a Zoom H4N as a driver to record directly into audition. For some reason, when I am playing back my recordings they sound off pitch and distorted. I know it is not a problem with my microphones or Zoom because I did record a quality podcast the other day. To set up my workflow, I plug my mics into the Zoom and the Zoom into my computer via usb selector. I then set my frequency to 48000 and switch the input to microphones. In Audition, I create a new multitrack session with no template, a frequency of 48000 and a bit depth of 32, and mono. I then set track one and two to record, set the audio hardware to the left and right channel of my Zoom. The last podcast I recorded in Audition came back with distortion, cutting out, and a weird pitch adjustment. I am trying to figure out what I did wrong, and salvage the recordings if possible. I have them as .WAV files in a folder outside o
I have a 60-minute long wav file with a dozen or so markers in it. I can bring the wav file into my CD Layout, no problem. And I can see the individual "markered" titles in the Markers panel, but when I try and drag (or right-click) these marked files into the CD Layout, I am unable to. Nothing happens...and the "insert to CD layout" option is grayed out. I have tried changing the markers from CD Track to Cue, and nothing improves. Any thoughts?
Hello there, I would like some help here. I have installed audition 2020 v13.0.3 and I tried to choose as audio hardware ASIO4ALL driver to use a Zoom interface. The sample rate is chosen as 44.1. No plugins, on a Windows 10 PC.ASIO4ALL driver version: 2.14Zoom interface has been tested on another PC and it works. I cannot understand why this happened, could anyone help me, please? What were you doing when it crashed?Changing Audio Hardware from MME to ASIOWhat have you done since you last launched the application? The same thing as aboveIf it crashes with a plug-in or a file, supply information about the plug-in or file.no pluginsHas anyone else experienced the crash? Anyone else on the forums, or perhaps a friend that also owns Audition?Yes, but her error has not been solved. Apparently. https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition/crash-after-choosing-asio-device/m-p/10300322?page=1#M15985Was there an error message? Post a screenshot. Here the complete error:

In Audition 13, I'm not able to edit CD text after adding tracks, then double-clicking the text in Untitled CD Layout window like older versions which would highlight the text to edit. Now when you double click the text in the layout window, it reverts back to editing the audio panel. How do I change the CD text in Untitled CD Layout window? Thank you. VK
Hi Everyone! After importing some two channelled interviews from a Zoom H5 recording device into Audition, the appears dashed lines in the clipp, seemingly erratically "cutting" the clip (see below). The interviewee begins a sentence and it is cut at these specific places, but without be ever having pressed the pause button, or any other related to the recording. From what I have been able to abduce, the "cutting" happens when I higher and lower the volume for my headphone/listening output on the Zoom device.Though, it does not appear to be this every time. During the last interview, I tried being extra careful as not to accidentially press any other button, but the issue still appeared. Is this some form of function that I have missed, or does anyone have any suggestions as to what is going on? And, can the "cutout" data be recovered in any way? Any suggestions are much appreciated, thank you in advance! Kind regards,Viktor Aronsson
HiI didn't have this problem before but it appeard in my last project. after I'm puting EQ and Compressors and ... on track every thing is fine so far. but when I select Touch or Latch or Write mode to automate the volume level, at the moment I press play, all the track plugins suddenly get reset as though I did nothing on them, all I've done will be perished. except Parametric EQ. I know it has something to do with my Control Surface, because when its off nothing's wrong but when I start to use it the nightmare happens. after this if I even turn the controller off, the bug remains there. the only way that I found to keep my project going is to turn on pre-render button. so this keeps my works on plugins.
Hello, I am an audiobook narrator and a client wants a book shortened (i.e., sped up). There are about 90 separate audio files. Their total length is about 12 hours. How can I shorten the entire audio to make the book about 10.5 hours? Any help, greatly appreciated. And I realize this is probably an easy thing to do. I'm still learning! - Chris
Hello!I am new to Adobe Audition and new at home recording. I am trying to record several tracks for an audio recording that needs to last about 35 minutes. I am in Multitrack and the timeline at the top of the DAW simply stops at 10 minutes and 54 seconds. What am I doing wrong? I hope I am explaining this well enough. Is there a time limit or something on recordings? Help??? Linda
Bonjour,je récupère des omf, mais ils ont été prémixé.Y a t'il un moyen rapide pour supprimer tous les keyframe des différentes pistes son? Merci
After opening any of my multitrack sessions, Audition freezes on "Processing 1 file," and I cannot click on anything. The app says that I have 3.5 GB of space. I have tried clearing memory and additional storage, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and restarting my computer. I have the latest version of Audition, and it was working fine just yesterday. Thank you for your help!
Hello, I am trying to export an audio file at 8000 Hz in 8-bit with the CCITT U-LAW codec and a WAV wrapper. From media encoder I can get all of these settings except I only have 8-bit as an option. When I do a multi-track mixdown in audtion, I can do all of these settings except for the CCITT U-LAW codec. What am I missing? I found a similar post on the forum, but they did not seem to have an issues selecting the bit depth. I would prefer to do this in media encoder to speed up the export of other formats and to strip out all metadata. Thank You!
Hi.How many days by the deadline should my annual Audition subscription be unsealed?Thank youByeA. J. G.
Hello, I'm a beginner at using Adobe Audition and right now I'm having difficulty with some bird sounds in the background. The chirp is very sharp and loud as the it was in the same room as the person being recorded and it can overlap at times with the voice. How do I get rid of or reduce it so the sound isn't as present?
Hi All, This may sound like a dumb question, but how to select the endpoint for an audio. I have a bunch of tracks I placed in multitrack mode and I am done with editing. How do you set the end point after which the audio stops playing? Thanks in advance as I am new to Audition.
hi there, I am a student currently working on an audio piece and I was wondering what the best way to make my atmosphere sound (rain, thunder etc) sound like it's coming from outside. I know it can be done with eq's and mastering but I'm thinking if there is any other way that might be better. thanks.
Hello,This happened twice already when I was in my multitrack session. This is after the current updates. I am putting together my podcast and the third track, which is Background music doesn't load or show up at all. I do get the first and second tracks to load just fine, but not the third one. What is going on and how do I fix this? This never happened before the latest updates.
Hi. I need to use Audition for my school and can't figure out how to record audio from Safari into my Audition file. Another forum post suggested using Soundflower, but when I went to the page to download it, the application had changed to Loopback which costs $99 after a couple hours of using it. Is there another free application that does the same thing as Soundflower/Loopback?
Hi, I'm looking for a simple quick solution to soften my recorded voice over. The recording has been done in a studio with a Rode mic but it still sounds a little tiney - can anyone suggest any quick fixes? Thanks, Kim
Hi,Deadline looming and Audition is not allowing an export to 5.1 format no matter which options I try, though it was working just a few days ago. I'm on an iMac 2015, 32GB Ram, High Sierra and Audition 13 (not latest OS or Audition updates, I don't want to change in the middle of the project if possible).I have a project set up with 5 tracks and have mixed them all to 5.1. I want to get them back to Premiere Pro but when I use the Export to Premiere option, I get 6 tracks, all in stereo, not a 5.1 track. When I try to export with .aac (to import later into Premiere) I get a '!dat' error and a message telling me my destination may not have enough space. It has plenty of space. Also, the export gets to 99% and hangs for a long time (like 10 minutes) although it says 0% remaining. The file seems complete, but opening it shows half of it not there. Finally, the frame rate suddenly changed from 24fps to 29.97fps without my doing anything and now it
