Adobe Audition is greyed out and it won't let me run even if it says it is up to date. Help
We are working on an animation for our custom website. The animation is ready we just need to finalise the music we are done. We are looking to create our own music and then mix it together using software like Premiere Pro or Audition. We just need to know which software will be easier to use if we are looking to record and compile music alto together and could anyone provide me a guide to Audition?
This feels like it happened overnight. Before, I've been able to use one of the selection tools on the spectrogram and then click and drag the side or corner of the selection to resize it. However, I am suddenly today unable to do the resizing, although the square & lasso tools still make the initial selection. Just updated to the newest version of Audition (14.1.0.43) today, but was happening even before I made that update.
Hi all! I just installed the latest version of Audition after having to do a full cleanout using CC cleaner. Now I can't open MP4 files (I haven't tried any other kind) and it just tanks every time. I even tried processing them through Media Encoder 2021 to see if there was some sort of abnormality (I've seen that before) but no dice. Anyone else having similar issues? Thanks! J.
In the multisession, i highlight a selection within a clip. How do I quickly lower the volume or silence the selection? In the waveform editor, I see a popup that I can adjust the db, but not in multisession.Appreciate guidance on this.
Hey gang, as the title suggests, I'm having an issue wherein when I run the scan for Delete Silence, it winds up selecting sections that include huge chunks of audio. It seems somehow tied to the length of time that silence is defined as; if I increase it to long enough, it will suddenly start recognizing the silence correctly. Weirdly, it seems to have some correlation with the overall length of the file. If the file is short, I can scan at any length and it's fine. But if it's longer (Somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour), I have to adjust the length of time that silence is defined by. I'm running the most recent version of Audition, and I've been having this issue for a couple years now. The workaround I've found is that I have to work down from a longer silence amount, shortening or deleting them then rescanning at a shorter time, but it's rather tedious. Any thoughts? My definition parameters are as follows:Silence is defined as signal below -69 for 1000msAudio is de
I tried to open Audition for the first time today and it just wont open even after I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, I just don't know what could be the problem.
While editing audio in AA (CC version), the controlls will seem to stutter/shudder for a second, and then afterward, playback becomes silent. However, the playhead still moves. I've gotten so used to it that it's part of my workflow now :-P. I simply save the file, shut AA, andopen it again. then it works fine again. I'm using the latest update of Windows 10. Does this probelm sound familiar to anyone else? If so, is there a solution? BTW, this does not seem to be JUST AA. It happens in Reaper too.
When I am in edit mode the audio plays fine and we can hear everything, Problem comes in when we head into multitrack, we can't hear anything, audio card is working and no audio playback device works, any help would be nice.
Hello! I have seen many posts surrounding around the Blue Yeti Mic not working in multitrack, and after attempting to fix and tinker all the settings in my audio hardware, it will still not record audio. I'm current on PC. I have set up the audio channel mapping and audio hardware setting correctly, and also made sure my mic and output settings was compatible. In the track, it shows that my mic is picking up levels, but when I go to record my voice, it suddenly does not pick up any wavelengths or levels anymore, even with the R button active. I have tried (almost) everything to try and fix this problem, but whatever I try, nothing works. I have tried recording my audio in waveform, and it picks up my audio fine, but nothing happens once I make the switch over to multitrack. If anyone could provide any assistance, that would be greatly appreciated.
Quick bit of context: I edit a weekly podcast, which is recorded over Zoom. I get guests to record themselves using their phone's voice memo app, and take a recording of the Zoom audio as backup. Sometimes they can't/don't send over their voice memo until the very last minute, leaving me working to a very tight deadline. I'm wondering whether in cases like this it would be possible for me to edit the lower quality Zoom audio in the multitrack editor so that the work is done, then if/when the higher quality voice memo audio comes through, have audition essentially replace the Zoom audio with the voice memo audio, with all the edits? Similar to how you can work with a watermarked image in After Effects, then drag and drop to replace this with the full version, while keeping all edited attributes the same. Any idea if this is possible?
Hello!I digitalised an old recording from a reel to reel tape and recognised that a speech on it has a bit high tone and sounds unnatural. I tested different options on "Stretch and Pitch" and finally found something that is quite OK (104% and -1.5 semitones). The length of the speech is 53 minutes and when I applied, it shows 26 minutes to complete whereas my CPU usage is only 13%. I see that it uses only one core out of six. The information of the CPU is this (CPU bought 3 years ago): AMD Ryzen 5 1600X Six-Core ProcessorBase speed: 3,60 GHz, Sockets: 1, Cores: 6, Logical processors: 12, Virtualisation: EnabledL1 cache: 576 KB, L2 cache: 3,0 MB, L3 cache: 16,0 MBUtilisation 13%, Speed 3,67 GHz, Up time 17:11:28:23Processes 327, Threads 4141, Handles 163909 Memory: 16 GB, used 12 GB. It could actually work six times faster if it would use all the CPU's but why it doesn't use them? My Audition is version 14.0.0.36. The affinity of audition.exe has not been chang
When I try through Audio Hardware all I see is Microphone aray intel smart sound technology intell sst, I get the same In Premiere but at least it will record a voiceover. I read some of the old post here and moved the microphone to another USB and made sure the setting in Windows allows all apps. How can I make this work? ThanksArt
Does adobe have the ability to CUT and then PASTE TO NEW FILE...all at once? I see CUT and I see Paste to New File, but not in one motion, Can that be edited to a keyboard shortcut? Or a Macro/Favorite or something? Thanks
Hi,Im new here so i apologise if this is the wrong area and i also apologise if I'm missing info as im new to using auditon as wellI'm using audition to edit 2 . Wav files that were created in Garage band (attached samples) and when they are used in GB they sound fine.In auditon they both sound fine individually, but when I add them to multitrack the first tracks end up sounding echoey and hollow while track 2 remains fine. There is spillover in each microphone where both mics are picking up each speaker, im not sure if this is a problem. I tried using noise remover to reduce and spill over but it doesnt seem to matter?Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂
Hello again!Once again I did try to find an answer before posting and couldn't find an one, so hoping to rely once again on the fabulous brains that reside here! Okay...I have a 30 minute drama podcast. I would like to create a separate Audition multitrack session/project for each scene so I can work it to death without getting all tangled up in a 30 minute timeline.Once I get all 8 scenes edited, each in their own Audition multitrack session, I would then need to combine them along with the opening and closing sesx into one master session. How do I stitch together multiple sesx files into one uber session?Thank you a huge ton in advance!!!!!Aimee
One question... How the heck do you get the "Loop" button to work when recording? I've searched the Knowledge Base and Forums, can't get a strait answer. I'm tracking drums to a scratch track/clip in the Audition timeline. I'm listening to that while recording 10 tracks made up of my drum microphones. Everything works great, EXCEPT, I have to stop after each take to restart the recording for each take. I lust want it to play back the song over and over again while recording a new Take on each pass. HOW???
Why does the computer reboot after the Adobe audition? And tell me how to solve it.
I don't know what happened. Slip of the mouse? When I want to save an audio file as .fla in Audition 3.01, somehow the filetype .zip has become one of the choices under FLAC. So I must type in the filename .fla as the name, or the software will save it as "filename.zip". How can I remove .zip as one of the choices of format in which to save a .wav (or other) file? I have to do this now for every file I want to save as FLAC. No need to emphasize how frustrating this is. In answer to your questions about why I'm still using Version 3, it's because so many of the functions I use every day have been removed from later versions. Thanks in advance.
I downloaded 2020 free trial. My inserted Wav plays incorrectly in both edit view and multitrack view. The file has same sample rate as Audition ( 44,1 khz)It sounds like pitch shift. What am I doing wrong? I am old Audition user since Cool Edit 1,0 another question:is it any way to convert my old Ses files ( AA3,0) to sesx files?
I have edited my podcast and want to export it as either a .wav or .mp3 file. However, everytime I go to export it, it will not show up in the folder I sent it to save in Finder. I export it using these steps: Export>Multitrack Mixdown > Entire Session. When I press "OK" a file will not pop up automatically, nor when I got to Finder can I find any export file from Audition. I'm not really sure what else I can do. I have enough storage. I have restarted my computer. My software has been updated to Big Sur. I also have the most updated version of Audition. Any recommednation is appreciated :).
When we run a clip out of Premiere and into Audition, the clip's timecode gets changed by around 50 seconds. How can we keep the timecode the same going into Audition and coming out of Audition? Because if we are doing a bunch of edits cutting parts of our that clip in Premiere, and say we accidentally bump the audio, we want to be able to use the timecode to line it back up with the video. Thanks
Looking to improve a recording that varies speed throughout. Is there anything that can be done to even out talking speed to 150-160 wpm?
So, is Adobe ever going to fix this issue that requires me to jump through hoops to get normal playback everytime my computer updates? I'm using an iMac and after nearly every update my audio in Adobe sounds fluttered. That means I have to go in, close every Adobe program and extension and then rename my Audition folders. To top it off, it wipes out all of my presets, shortcuts, and plug ins. This is beyond frustrating. I've used Audition since it was Cool Edit and would really like to continue to use it, but I'm about at the end of my rope with these issues!
I have some 3-track recordings from a Tascam 144 cassette, recordings made in the 1980s (stereo soundtrack on Tr1-2, commentary on Tr3). They are Wave files. When I open the recording, all three tracks appear, but only the top two are audible. What I've had to do is extract the tracks to mono files, open in Multitrack, pan and so on. But is there an easier way in Waveform mode just to hear the tracks as they were originally: Tr1 and Tr2 in stereo, Tr3 in the centre? Attached is an extract.
