I have attached a video to visibly show you what is wrong because I am really bad at technical terms. But basically, I have a perfectly functional video. I import it to Adobe Audition, or Adobe Premiere as well. Both do the same thing. Then I press play and its just static. You can't even hear the original audio file at all. I don't even do anything in audition to cause this. Just import the video and its suddenly all messed up. How do I fix this?
When burning CDs with Adobe Audition there is a 2 second pause between tracks by default. I wish to have a 1 second gap, I realise you can change this manually track by track but can you alter the pause to 1 second altogether in one hit?
A service provider was supposed to record a .wav file for me with Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24, to match other .wav recordings which had already been recorded with Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24. Instead they recorded it with Sample Rate: 44.1 kHz and Bit Depth: 16. Having acknowledged their mistake, they now say they've "fixed" it by converting it to Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24. The properties of their "fixed" file do now show Sample Rate: 48 kHz and Bit Depth: 24. But my understanding is (and everything that I read on the subject says) that such a conversion / upscale is a scam of sorts, and that, even though the file size is now larger, the audio quality is not - and cannot be - improved. They, however, insist that I'm wrong, and refuse to re-record correctly. When I point them to information on the subject online, they tell me it's wrong. Are they right, or am I? And, if it's me who's right, what can I do and/or tell them to convince th
I have a video attached showing you visually what is happening. I import a perfectly functional video file, and then audition just reads it as static. I don't know how to fix this, nor can I seem to find the solution anywhere. Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to the correct forum... I have the latest version of Audition, and out of nowhere this issue started happening. I didn't change anything, it just started out of nowhere. I use Audition specifically for voice overs, so I record in mono. While I am editing (both in waveform and multitrack) I can hear the audio perfectly from both channels. But now for some reason once I export it, there is an electrical buzz and it only plays out of one channel (using either headphones or speakers). I tried the very same exported audio file on a different computer with different speakers & headphones, and it is totally fine. So I'm at a loss. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
I have been using Audition 1.5 for MANY years and just discovered that Adobe has been updating. It's time for me to move to the newest version but I still have 1.5 projects I am working on. Can I bring in session files from 1.5 into the newest version and have the all the clips drop into the right places in multitrack?
While working on the project Audition 6.0 unexpectedly closed with an error and did not offer to restore the project, I started looking for a solution and found a backup folder, it contains files with a large weight, but Audition does not open them, please help
Hello,it would be useful to add arbitraty text notes/comments under each frequency points in parametric equalizer. For example when I cut off some frequency it would be nice to store the comment why I did it in past. These comments may help to understand mixes dones some time ago.
I'm in the waveform view. I right clicked on the record button and selected the Timed Record Mode. When I initiate the recording, a window pops up with the option to start immediately or at a speecific time. I choose immediately. The other options are unlimited time or a specified ampunt of time. i enter the the timecode equivalent of 17 seconds. The problem is the recordin will not stop at 17 seconds. I've tried different timeframes but the recording will not stop at the specified length. Obviously, the short lengths arent a problem. I'm only using those for testing. I need it to stop at 2 hours and 30 minutes and I will not be at the desktop to stop it. What am i doing wrong? Also, I just updated to the latest version (13.0.13.46) Thanks
Today Audition suddenly started dropping audio while recording. I have not changed anything or added any additional software or hardware. My set up:MacBook Pro 15" 2018 2.6 GHZ 6 Core i7 16GB Ram OS 11.1 Focusrite Scarlet 18i20 v2 as clock source, sample rate 48khzRodecasterPro sample rate 48khzThey are set as an aggregate device with drift crrection on both as per Apple.Audition matches these settings. This is only happening in Audition and does not happen when recording in Logic Pro.I have changed the clock source, rebooted the computer and hardware to not avail. I'm at a complete loss as to why this is happening
Hi, I run a podcast and I've been trying to get an interface that isn't crazy expensive for a while. I finally got a Phoinikas T-10 interface with multiple USB plug-ins because we use 2 Snowball microphones for recording, and they have a USB plug. Before, when I tried to plug in two microphones, only one would register and we'd have to squeeze around the one microphone. Now, it registers the two microphones and I'm able to set it up to where it should (theoretically) record from both mics, but nothing is picked up when I hit the "R" for record on the tracks. I don't know what I'm doing wrong; I feel like it's a super simple solution, because the system picks up both mics, it just won't feed any audio through said mics. PLEASE HELP!! It's almost 2 am and I'm losing my mind over this. If anyone has literally any idea why it wouldn't be working, please let me know. If you need pictures, I can do my best to send some.
I need to edit the left and right channels separately within the wave view. I need this to be quick as we still do a live radio show. It has been fine for weeks and TODAY, the left and right channels show as overlapping in wave view and we don't know why. How do I get this to be separate again? I don't believe I did anything except restart my computer. The file IS stereo not mono. thank you!
Hi all, I am editing some audio and trying to use the match loudness function to bring the audio from -32 LUFS to -16 LUFS and when I do so, it amplifies a lot of the fuzz in the background that you could not hear in the original. Here is a screenshot of my audio before running Match Loudness:And here is a screenshot of my audio after:Should I be making it louder in a different way to avoid this problem, or should I just treat this amplified noise as background noise and try to reduce it using the Noise Reduction tool? Here is a screenshot of my settings when I run Match Loudness also:Also included the 2 clips attached. Thanks in advance!
I just recorded a podcast and this is the very first time this has happened. There is a gray file on the timeline that goes the length of the podcast, however there is no waveform and no playback. When I export the file there is no playback either; just an hour and 13 minute blank file. Ive tried to relink media with no success. If anybody has a solution please help! I havent found anything online that fixes the problem.
HELP PLEASE
I have a Multitrack Session with several clips where I'm using keyframes to automate volume envelopes, but whenever I close and reopen my Session, the keyframes at the end of some clips completely vanish. Some additional information on the issue:1) It only impacts keyframes at the end of clips - all keyframes at the beginning of clips are preserved.2) It seems to impact only remixed clips, however not all remixed clips - it's pretty random, but most do get impacted.3) The issue occurs in every Session I create, so it's not related to corrupted Session file. It also happens with different source clip files. I have been working with Audition for a couple of months and this has been a recurring issue. I have already tried reinstalling the application a couple of times to no avail. As of now I'm basically leaving my Sessions open all the time in order to avoid recreating the envelopes every time I reopen them. Any help will be most welcome!
Hi everyone, I've been working on a sound design project where I have a lot of automation (panning, volume, eq gain and frequency) on several tracks, but when I go to export my multitrack mixdown, the automation is completely ignored in my new WAV file. I have tried exporting each track as a stem, directly into adobe Premiere, and the master stereo file but every single time it removes my automation. I have spent hours of work to get my automation very precise for the scene so it is essential that it is applied to my export file. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Does Audition just always ignore track envelopes? If so, thats ridiculous for a product from this company.
Hi, everyone! Last year I bought a Behringer 302 USB to use for recording and for use with Skype calls & other things. It worked for some simple things, but I later determined that a Behringer Q1202USB was the winning ticket. As things on computers do, something changed, and I can't achieve the functionality I need. Not even the things I had initially. I'm not married to the Behringer mixer, so I'm entertaining suggestions for how to achieve these few things with some other hardware. I've used Audition sporadically in the past, but I intend to make it more central to things I'm working on. These are the things I need & want to do, and I'm open to any (hopefully) single piece of hardware that will work with Audition to accomplish them.Keep a mic plugged in and use it to record vocal tracks when needed. Record from programs, inclucing my browser or any sound/recording software into Audition.Mixing the mic with the audio from my soundcard would be a plus.Sendin
My Premiere - to - Audition workflow has been thrown into disarray. After completing an edit in Premiere I typically export the sequence to Audition. I then sweeten the audio there and Export back to Premiere.Recently, though, when I return to work on the Audition Session, to make additional audio tweaks, one or more of the tracks is completely out of sync. It seems many of the clips (strangely, not all) on that track go back to the beginning of the master file they were pulled from. Nearly every clip plays the same beginning piece of audio.Has anyone else experienced this? And what might be done? The only solution I can come up with is to re-export from Premiere and perform the entire sweetening process again. A LOT of work.
Hi,I'm currently working on a multi-track project in Audition and the save/ export options are greyed out. Is there anyway to fix this without loosing my work? I thought about copy and pasting the audio into a new mixdown and then re-importing the files back into the new mixdown but unsure. Was wondering if anyone knows how to solve this? Thanks!
Hi, All the time I was using Marquee Selection tool to select a shape in Spectral Frequency Display for the frequency I need to eliminate (like constant noise, for example) and after I hit Delete button the selection was cleared. Now it behaves differently, instead of completely deleting the noise in selected area it diffuzes it or something, and in History I see "Silence Frequencies" line. I did find the topic on Reddit with the same problem and solution there was to go to Preferences -> Data and uncheck "Smooth delete/cut boundaries" and "Smooth all edit boundaries" options. Which I did, but the behaviour of marquee selection deleting is still the same. It annoys me beyond belief, so any suggestion of how to fix it? Audition is the latest version (Build 13.0.13.46).
Hi, guys, This problem just happened today. I was editing the audio file just fine when suddenly the Spectral Frequency Display graphics became corrupted - half of the track's representation is like an old DOOM game now, see screenshot: http://joxi.ru/5md3E7JS80RgLrI had rebooted the PC - opened several different tracks - still same issue. How can I fix it?
Community, need help - I have tried to fix the sound(sample attached) with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Audition - but can't find the appropriate filter to make this background noise disappear. Any ideas on how to do it?MIC used is AT2020 Usb (AudioTechnica) and I might have been too close...Thank you,Lison
I'm narrating audiobooks, and I've recently tried using Adaptive Noise Reduction. It work really well, except it leaves behind weird sounds that almost sound like mouth clicks, but weren't there before I applied the effect. I've tried adjusting settings but it hasn't fixed it. Help! Photos are before applying the effect, after applying the effect, and my current settings. Thanks! 🙂
