Audition

Hi! I just downloaded the newest version of audition and having troubles with it. First of all all of my clips are offline so i rlly need help on that. Second of all, on the tracks there seems to be some yellow and black glichy stuff on it, and audition crashes a lot. At the top 3 tracks in the screenshot included, it shows a weird waveform that changes everytime i zoom in and out. But my main problem is adobe audition keeps crashing. I restarted my device, deleted audtion and re-installed, because i was having same problems in previous version and this version. If anyone has any help pls let me know!

I recently got a new computer (HP) and installed creative cloud. All the apps work fine except Audition. The first time I opened it, it froze and shut down. Now, it pauses while loading with this message: "A previous session of Audition quit unexpectedly. You may open the recovered session now, delete it, or choose at a later time."What ever option I choose, the app loads, crashes and shuts down again. I've tried reinstalling, deleting files from AppData, running as admin, I've even reset the computer but to no avail. Adobe - fix this for me!!

Hi!  The narrator I'm working with recorded a chapter slower than all the others.  Not by much, but it is noticeable to me.  Is there a way I can speed the whole thing, or just part of it by selecting it, to play a little faster? Thanks! 

Okay.  So we've got an audio track with content only on the Left side. Q: how to tell Adobe to treat this as a Mono track (like other audio editing software allows).   Thanks!   Steven

Hi, My sister and I are recording an audio on Adobe audtion. I use a blue yeti mic, and set it to omni-directional. The volume on the mic is set very low and we've put a popsock ontop of the mic to prevent popping.  We record directly into adobe audition using the mono-track, stero setting. I then take it into a multi-track to edit. Once, I've edited the flow to be correct, I correct the audio in the following way: Speech volume levelerDeReverbNotch filter Notch filterDeEsserDeEsserNotch filterParametric EqualiserSingle-band compression Parametric equilizer  To the music beds I apply the parametric equaliser and single band compression. Finally to the master track I apply a hard-limiter. I have then exported it to an MP3 ready to be shared. This is just edit 1, however, I'm not too happy with how the audio sounds. I'm trying to make things clearer and make the voices smoother - but everytime I get to the end of editing it sounds a bit metall

Hello All, Audition will not recognize my Rode Podcaster mic. I have checked the settings and the microphone is working properly on my computer (windows 10). I can hear it when I  go into device settings and I Can hear the mic picking up sound via my headphones. But audition will not recognize it and is stating that the mic is not working. I have updated the drives and installed asio4all  no dice.  

God evening!Late night here in Sweden and my Audition CC (latest update) no longer monitors sound when I create a new Audio File, I can only hear sound in my headphones after I have recorded something. Guess I must have pressed some button or key to disable monitoring incoming sound.I'm on a mac 10.13.6Latest version of Adobe Audition CCAudio Technica USB-microphone for inputApogee Duet 2 for output.Also, I have not used Audition at home for quite som time so I guess it might be an update issue?

I have been learning Adobe audition from offical website of Adobe. In basic course they were explaining about sound reduction and also they provided samples for practice/learning. So I was trying to do practice on one of that sample file but unable to reduce sound. Its too frustating. I dont know where i am lacking. File name is - ( Emlyn Vaughan 5678 Noisy )and its underMusic Editor>  Music > Emlyn Vaughan - 5678 Noisy.Please help me in this thing because with this i get to know about sound reduction thing. Also i am attaching mp3 file from that sample document. Please help

I have a multitrack that consists of a single audio mp3. It's just been cut and rearranged.When I save the sesx, all clips suddenly go offline. I can select all and relink (the folder that opens is the folder where the original is) and continue working just fine. But as soon as I save again, the clip goes offline and has to be re-linked.The audio file is an mp3, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. Both the audio file and the sesx are on different mapped network drives. Again, not sure why that would matter in this case. Just not sure what is going on. Operating on the latest, Build 13.0.7.38

I am working on a video project but I need to edit my voice to sound similar to the Riddler in the Batman Arkham games when he is talking over a computer. It starts at 0:45 and goes through 1:55. could someone help me find the right settings and effects to create this style?thanks so much!

OK - Time for a blast from the past! I was a Cool Edit Pro (v1.2) user who purchased the upgrade to Adobe Audition 1.0 when it came out. I needed to retire an old computer tonight and install it on a new one running Windows 10. CEP installed and runs fine under XP SP3 compatibility mode. But when I try to run the Audition update, after entering the serial number it tells me, "Setup could not find a qualifying product. You may install a qualifying version of the product and run setup again, or contact Adobe Customer Support." Does anyone know why the Audition 1.0 update can't find CEP anymore? I'm retired, paid what was supposed to be a one-time license fee for what I have, and $20/month to migrate to v13 is a non-starter for hobby use. All I'm really after is the MP3 codec Audition 1.0 added. Any tips appreciated!   

Every time I save a session I get a warning windowEven if I click "Yes" the session  shows the clips as "off line" It started happening with the new update and I don't know how to avoid it, need help. I already look in preferences and I can't fix it.Thank you

So my Imac crashed and after repair I wanted to install the Nectar3 an upgrade from 2 for me.I deleted the old plugins and did a scan for new plugins. Progress bar comes up but it just sits there. I tried scanning existing plugins and same result.IZotope uses a Product portal which stays on the tool bar now not sure if that has anything to do with it.Any ideas? Can anyone help?  I am on the latest version of Adobe Audition (monthly sub).  I use a Mac.  I have plenty of storage etc. I can record fine on my AA but when I right-click on the record button - I'm not given the option to select punch and roll.  It simply isn't there.  .  

Hi! I am new to Audition so here is my question:How can I fully delete my audio which I recorded in Multitrack on a track so it don't take storage? I mean if I fail a take and I don't need it, I always delete it in Audition and then in the folder where audition saves the source files but that takes too much time for me.

Hi all, Noobie here, Just set up my Voice Over Studio the other day, Everything was working fine, when I came in today to record all my setting had changed and I have no Playback Sound, it shows the mic is picking up sound but I can hear nothing, Please help. I am using Windows 10 and Have an XLR Mic which is though my Zoom UAC-2 Pre Amp "Phantom Power", any help anyone can give would be wonderful, I have searched and searched before I came here and can not figure it out. Cheers,Billy

Bonjour, J'ai installé Adobe audition.Lors des premeirs réglages tout fonctionnait parfaitement bien. Seulement lorsque j'ai voulu enregistrer le lendemain, je n'avais plus de retour de voix dans mon casque ni lorsque je souhaite écouter l'enregistrement.Le micro est détecté puisque des ondes apparaissent lorsque je fais des tests. Ce dernier est branché sur l'interface et fonctionne grâce à un câble xlr/xlr sous alimentation fantôme. Le pilote est à jour.Le micro fonctionne bien.Windows détecte iD4J'enregistre bien en mono et la sortie est en stéréo. Je suis sous Windows 10Pilote installé : Asio4allInterface / carte son: iD4 de chez Audient Pourriez-vous m'aider s'il-vous-plaît?  Merci d'avance 

This has been very frustrating and I'm hoping someone can help - I've used audition for years and in the past 6 months or so, every so often while recording, sound will appear to "skip and pop" (example attached) in recordings. It has nothing to do with playback or rendering, its immediately in the raw recorded audio though its not noticable enought in the wavelength to catch it happening in the moment because the pops are so quick and subtle - in fact you can only REALLY see it in the spectral frequency display. (shown here) It will come and go on its own and I can't recreate it on demand.  At first I thought it was just my old laptop - so I literally replaced both my laptop and my interface and the problem persists! Running most recent Audition 2020, 64bit Windows 10 with 36G ram, Intel i7, and a Presonus Studio 24c with USB c cable. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Could it be sample rate? Bit depth? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!&nb

I just completed a session with 170 tracks for a client who required separate tracks for each phrase (for a learning program).  All went well.  I went back through and cleaned up each track.  I have saved, backed up, created "DO NOT TOUCH" protection files. Now, I need to export each separate track to a separate wav file, as edited, in exactly the same order.  The file names must be identical.  But Audition has renamed the files, adding "copy," numbers, "merged," and other unwanted information.   It has also re-arranged the order.  How do I just export the multitracks, as named, in order, and with effects applied?  This was due today.  Any help?  Thanks  Rob 

I am working on the first episode of my podcast. Once I completed it and everytime I export the entire session to mp.3, the mp.3 file only plays the last three tracks--which are my partner spots and the beat behind the partner spots. It doesn't play any of the actual podcast. When I click on the wave view, everywhere the podcast should be playing is simply a straight line of silence. (see attachments) Has anyone had this issue?

Has been a struggle to get Audition to recognize my QX1202 mixer inputs but I had a small breakthrough this morning. For background, the ASIO and MME Hardware options both do not recognize the Mixer inputs. I have two Mics on the mixer and based off reading have panned one to the far left and other far right. After reading some and tinkering, I changed HW preferences to use "WASAPI" device class. Following that, I saw some other community posts that suggested to change mixer inputs such that USB 2TR was set to "To Phones/CTRL RM". By chance I also toggled "To Main Mix" off. Voila am finally getting the inut recognized in Audition. I am probably doing so much of this incorrectly and let me just in advance apologize for my ignorance.  My issue now is the sound quality on playback is very poor. It sounds grainy and there is a bunch of background noise. Any ideas? I have included screenshots and pictures of my overall setup.

i am having trouble mixing my music sessions into a mp3??? i need some tips?? everytime i try to mix it down as 1, it only mixes the instrumental down an leaves out the vocals...  

Hi Audition Community, I updated Audition a few days ago and now experience noise being added to the files I down sample. This is my first time posting here so I hope I'm following the correct protocol. I've attached a short segment of the original 48k 16 bit file and two examples of how noise is added when down sampled. I have a ulaw and a 16k,16 bit example. The noise is added across the file but is most pronounced where there should be silence. The only settings I am using to down sample through the Batch converter is:Format: libsndfileSample Type: 8,000 Hz, Mono, 8 bitFormat Settings: libsndfile: Waveform Audiou-law 8bit PCM (ITU-T G.711)Default Byte Order I've tried dithering with Triangular and Gaussian settings as well as changing the Byte Order to Little-Endian. All outputs contain the same added noise. I am perplexed! Any help or guidance will really be appreciated. Thanks,Matt 

hi all,as i mentioned in images, when i strat Au, the loading dialog stucks(freezes) on : Loading(skybox-iris-wipe.prm) with no errors.. i tried these for solution but didnt work at ALL! DISappointg... 1. reinstall2. tried newer versions than 20193. run as adminstration4.reinstalling Windows(worked for a week but its dead again..)
