Audition

I'm a professional audio engineer and I'm reaching out to see if you can help me regarding this matter. I recently purchased a chromebook and was wondering if their is ever going to be auditon available for use through the chrome is operating system or as an Android app. I know adobe has made other apps available on the Apple and Android store and it would really help If adobe audition was available for use. I use adobe regularly at work via Mac and windows pcs. I thank you for taking the time to review this and hope to hear back from you soon. I love adobe audition as a DAW and really feel like it should work With the chrome system by google. Thanks,Kevin

Yesterday I shot a subject on camera that was about 8 ft away. He was miked with a Rode wireless lav. When I screened the clips later, his voice was real low. It's as if the lav never worked and instead his voice was picked up by the internal camera mic. So the subject not only sounds low but distant.  What is best way to improve this audio?I boosted the gain, and this brought up the BG noise, so I added a denoiser which worked great, but the suject still sounds distant. His presence seems far away. I am not the best when it comes to audio effects, so any help is appreciated. 

Hi,  I would like to be able to tweak the step (or the overlap) between adjacent windows used to compute the spectral display. Is this possible?If it isn't, at least it would be nice to know what is the overlap being used by default. Is it the same for all possible windows used (Hann, Hamming, Blackman, etc)? Anyone knows where I can find that information?FYI I'm using build 13.0.4.39Thanks.

  Hi everyone, I'm using Adobe Audition 2020. When I came on today to do some editing, I noticed that all my tools (to the right of "Show Spectral Pitch Display") are entirely greyed out. I have been unable to edit with the tools i.e. use the razor tool, move tool, etc. This is the first time it's happened to me and I was editing just last night. - My Audition is currently up to date, and ran an update for the entire Creative Cloud this morning. - The waveform file that is in the picture that I'm working on was actually a multitrack file from Audition 2019 from my work computer. I thought that there was a compatibility issue at first, so I created a mixdown on my laptop with Audition 2020 and tried to re-open it. I had found the issue again.   Any thoughts on how to deal with this? I'm going to restart my entire device as well and see, but I greatly appreciate any advice or fixes you folks may have. Thank you!

Using Audition CC, is there a way to have transport controls at the bottom of the Multitrack window to include a next marker and previous marker?  In Premiere Pro, I can add these control icons to the transport control BUT I can't find a similar feature in Audition.  Any ideas?

I made two Audition files, one on one day and one on the next. My setup was the same (same mic, same distance from input (e.g. guitar). But the second file is much louder than the first. I had the same volume settings. Any control I may have changed inadvertently?Second question: how do I create equal volume levels between several files? I

Hi Everyone,  I'm editing my podcast. Extracted the entire session. I listen and 99% of my audio is missing (main speaking track and music) my spoken intro is all I can hear. What's happeing? It plays corretly in Audition.  I'm fairly new to audion to not intermediate or advanced right now.  How can I fix this? Thanks in advance,Kaylia

I am using Adobe Audition CC 2019 and my Soundcraft 12 mixer with usb interface.My recorded tracks are being sent to a Bus which is sent to the Soundcraft 11/12 stereo return for monitoring. when I overdub my new track Im playing with the recorded tracks in sync but when I listen to play back, My new track is Not in sync  Any ideas??

Hi there.I have just rescued a Rocksmith usb guitar adapter from the original xbox game and I'm trying to use it to record in Audition CC (version 13.0.2.35). Is it possible? Audio control panel in system preferences shows it properly and it seems to receive signal. But no response in Audition, where it also shows up.  No signal in audition track.Using Macbook pro 13" with OS catalina 10.15.3Am I missing something?Any help?thnkx in advanceDavid

Hi there! I’d love to see the ability to change the color scheme for the spectral display. Why? Because I see sound. I’ve been cutting in spectral view for years now. I can almost read what people say in a recording. But sometimes it would be nice to make it brighter, to be able to easier see noise and unwanted things I’d want to filter out. For example, if you disable the channel in single-file-view it get’s black and white and brighter. It would be enough to switch to that view…Could you make that possible? I love Audition 😄 

I'm trying to install Adobe Audition 3.0 onto a  Dell Inspiron 15 7567. Runs Windows 10 with 8gb Ram and 300+ GB of storage avaialable.  It isn't working and it just won't launch.   Is there anything you can do to help me out?  Thanx! David O.

Am trying to import old audio interviews from a Sanyo dictaphone/microcassetter recorder.I have a 3.5 mm lead coming from earphone output on the recorder to a Scarlett Solo. SEE Photograph I can only input to Port 2/instrument input.I cam hear interview through headphone in Scarlett jack, but I can see no input levels on Audition.Thoughts as to what I may be doing wrong, or other settings I could try? Much obliged. Everyone stay well x

Hello.  Using punch and roll for VO/book recording.  Would like the ability to do one of the following:   1) overwrite existing clip when punching (so only one final take exists on the track),  or 2) disable the mulitple take function, or 3) remove unused takes from a track (is there a menu option for this?) I want to easily clean the punch points if necessary but find myself wrestling with the underlying takes on the track.

First, I love adobe auditon CC 2018 which I use at work.Now that I am at home (social distancing) I am unable to record live broadcasts or even You Tube audio.On the Audio Hardware --under preferences--( I can only choose between Stereo Mix (Realtek Audio), microphone (Realtek Audio) or no input.I need some help and thank you. 

Adobe Audition 3 (!!!!) I am, a long-time user of Adobe Audition -- for almost all pedagogical stuff as a cantor in a synagogue.  Because of Coronavirus, I'm doing things at home that I didn't used to do at home.  (That sounds weird, but you get it. . . )  This includes loading Adobe Audition 3 onto my laptop from the original DVDs .   Loaded it successfully.  It works beautifully.  But then there's that warning that my days are numbered. . . and attempts to register fail -- as Adobe no longer maintains the site or phone numbers for that purpose.   So. . .what's going to happen at the end of my 30 days?  Is there a work around?   Many thanks. 

Hey gang. Thanks in  advance for any help.      So we have been trying to get a 3 mic set up, eventually however many we want, for a podcast. We are using Blue yeti's. They sound great but no matter what, which mic, which cable, etc, we cannot get the third track level at the same as the other/first two. So it seems obvious its not the mics'. I want to use Audition because it has more capability than we need but seemed easy enough to use on a basic level.     I cant figure out what to do to up that level and get the same sound. Has anyone experienced this? Is it in audition that I need to look? Or commputer/soundcard/hardware stuff?

Hi Everyone,I'm currently working on an important project on Adobe Audition and after I saved it and reopened the file to edit again I found clips that have a question mark and written on them 'offline'. I looked it up and I understand that the problem is related to space or something of that sort. My friend showed me how to fix it but her laptop is not a macbook so I don't understand how to solve this issue on my macbook laptop. I deleted stuff from my trash to clear up some space. Please let me know what I can do to fix this. Also, it there ANY hope to fix this without having to delete the offline clips? 

Hi all! Been here lots before, but first time posting on the community. Thank you all for your constant vigilance! 😄 I'm a voice over artist and use audition to record voice clips to send to clients. I recently upgraded from Adobe CS5.5 to CC. As soon as I did I started having issues with input levels. When playing back after recording, I'm finding that the input levels aren't uniform all the way through. The volume will suddenly get a lot louder or softer unexpectedly. To compensate, I'll have to raise or lower the volume of certain phrases, which isn't ideal. A picture of what I'm talking about is below. Sometimes this will happen mutiple times throughout a recording which makes editing a headache.  Anyone know what might be causing this? I've tried changing drivers from standard MME to ASIO4ALL and hasn't fixed issue. Specs that I'm working with are below. OS: Windows 10 homeProcessor: i5-9400 2.90GHzRAM: 16GBSys type: 64bitMic: AKG Perception 4

Hi all, Wondering if folks have found a nice solution for using an iPad as a remote/custom shortcuts solution? Surely it is possible, and developers have created such apps, but wondering if folks here have any experience to share. 

I'm curious if others have experienced HomePods. I just got a pair via Best Buy sale ($199 per; no longer there but OWC has them for about the same price). I'm very impressed with the sound generally; great clarity. Besides just enjoying the sound, I'm using them as another set of test speakers, and also as a mono speaker test. Other thoughts from others?? 

I can't seem to get my X32 to control Audition.  I have tried several things and I'm sure there is something I'm not selecting correctly.  I have no trouble using it as an interface and recording to Audition, I just can't seem to use it as a control surface.  It says it is able to do this but I am just wondering if others have gotten this to work.  

I'm running low on space on my Macbook, because all of my sessions are around the 2GB mark. Whenever I start a new session, I used copy/paste the previous one to use as a template rather than just use an empty template to start with. I've since fixed this and it won't be an issue from now on, but I've got about a year's worth of 2GB sessions clogging up my laptop. Clearing unused files manually is a chore because you have no idea what's being used by the session until you remove it, restart the session and see if it throws up any warnings for missing files. Pro Tools has a function where you can select all files not currently being used on the timeline and delete them. Is there anything like that in Audition? All I could find was some external program from about 2008, so I'm not too sure about it. Plus it seemingly only runs on Windows, and I'm using a Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Adam

Hi everyone, I've got the Steinberg UR44 with inputs on channels 1-3. The stereo option allows me only to hook up two channels. When I went to Multitrack, no sound was coming out if I did MONO- Input 1-3, or hit Stereo (it was showing only options for input 1, 3, 5 -- when I only have 4 inputs?).  I'd much prefer to just use waveform for now, but how can I get it to recognize and record 3 mics?Thank you!Mackenzie
