Dear readers,Within my company we create e-learning. With this e-learning we record our own voice overs. We have a proper soundbooth. Now I've found out that my workflow is pretty time consuming. And since I'm not a professional sound engineer It might be possible to improve my workflow. If you read this and have any suggestions or ideas please be so kind to advice me on this. My workflow is somewhat like this:We start with a proper script for the voice overIn the studio we record the voice over. With a template document (in multitrack mode) with proper set of effects in the effect rack with noise gates etc. After recording i have to split my recording in a LOT of seperate files. And here's my issue.I go through all of the recordings and mark the right best with range markers. This is incredible timeconsuming I can be busy for appr. 4-6 hours work on audio for 8-10 minutes clean audio and placing and naming the markers correctly. This can be up to appr. 40-60 rangemarkers. After being don
I need to synchronise one audio track with variable playback according to another audio, which is perfectly fitting video file. The problem is that in one audio file playback was changed to acceleration and deceleration randomly, withing 5% of original time playback of each part. It's almost not noticeable, but when add an audio to video file, it becomes unreal to see this garbage. I have another audio file, that fits to the video perfectly. So, the question is, how can I adjust and restore the synchronisation of my audio track to video, using the one with perfect synchronisation? How I see that, but don't know if that functionality presents in Audition:1. I put 2 tracks into Multitrack mode2. Using some markers I check the points or visible audio peaks that both tracks have3. These peaks are the same for both tracks, but not synchronised. I check these audio matching points in both files.4. Using some functionality, Audition changes one file by stretching and compressing fragments of au
OK, here is the scenario:I record audiobooks for audible in a small home studio, so, files have to be saved and uploaded to them with very specific parameters, basically they are:==========================.MP3CBR16 bit-depth192khz bit-ratemono==========================I record in .wav 44.1 16bit....==========================So, I record in WAV and save to MP3 in the parameters stated above, the PROBLEM is when I re-open the saved mp3 file the bit depth always changes to 32-bit !!Does anyone know why this is happening or even better, how to fix it?
I am running Audition CC 12.1.0.182 on a brand new MacBook Pro running OS 10.14.4 with 8GB RAM and 500GB flash storage.I use Audition to denoise audio files, and it has been working swimmingly until today. Now, almost every time I STOP playback, the program freezes and tries to use over 60GB of application memory. It is fine loading noise prints, denoising files, saving, opening, and even playing. It is only when I stop playing that the RAM goes crazy. I restarted my computer and it worked for a few files, then started acting up again. The files in question, by the way, are only about 50MB for WAV files or 300MB for MOV files. (I start with the MOV files and save as a WAV after denoising. It has not mattered whether I am using the MOV file or the WAV file, it's freezing either way.)I have two screenshots attached, from two different files, one with just the Force Quit window, and one with the Activity Monitor. What I found is that the program is running fine, less than 1GB of memory gen
Some time back, I downloaded a couple of trials of the latest and prior latest additions of Audition in the event I might need something more robust than my standard audio editor of choice, Audacity. I had used Audition in the past from a friend's computer, so I knew it had better capabilities than Audacity for several things, plus I have issues with frequent crashes/ freezing with Audacity. Anyway, being limited to a 7 day trial, I hope to be able to finish up a job I started yesterday in short order. Please note, and this is important, that I want to apply the following edits to a one hour audio file recorded off of a public radio broadcast. It is a one shot recording... nothing can be rerecorded in any capacity, but there are some very specific edits that I need to be able to do that I believe is beyond Audacity. Here is what I need to do:1) The background hiss varies throughout the file since the radio carrier wave became stronger and also faded
Has anyone experienced problems with showing all markers in all files?Prior to the update I was able to create CD Track markers in individual files and when I create a new CD Layout with "show markers of all files" selected in the markers panel, I could drag and drop the tracks from multiple files into the CD layout and then burn a new CD.Now once I create a new CD layout the markers disappear for all of the audio files and they are not visible when the CD layout is selected in the Files panel. In order to see the marker list I have to toggle the show markers of all files off. I learned that I can select all tracks for each file independently and insert into CD layout or Multitrack session but this has been quite unreliable.I have reset the preferences. And looked through the all the preferences for any reference to markers and came up with nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I really do not want to go back a version because I like to stay current with my updates but it is looking
So whenever I export my mono tracks from Audition using the "export to Premiere" feature in Adobe Audition. The tracks are exported as stems to Premiere, but some of the stems are in stereo while others are in Mono. This drastically changes the levels I set in Audition whenever I export to Premiere. There seems to be no discernable pattern to it. I am using Premiere and Audition 2018 btw.
Hello everyone! I'm working on my documentary and finished the video editing process. Now I need to smooth out dialogues and music in Audition. My Premiere Pro project is divided in folders. Each folder has a sub-folder for it's corresponding audio. When I open the premiere project in audition, it's shows me those exact folders but they're all empty apart from one. One of the sequences I can select is the entire project and selecting it opens a single audio file so I cannot edit the tracks individually. It seems as if I did something wrong with the folders. What did I mess up in my project?? Thank you all in advance
I am working with a 3 minute video and about halfway through the mic started buzzing. No problem I thought, I went through my audio editing progression and used the noise reduction process to get rid of the buzzing. And it worked. But, the buzzing still persists when the voice peaks. I can't seem to get rid of it even by isolating frequencies, and I can't find any information on how to do it online. Here is the .wav file, you'll start to hear the buzzing around 15 seconds in. I haven't done multi-track recording for a while. Been working mostly in Premiere as DP/Editor and using Audition for fix-up.I am recording my band tonight and yesterday purchased Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 USB Audio Interface. I installed the drivers. I configured ASIO and made sure I assigned and armed the tracks in Adobe. (I using Asus VivoBook PRO 15.6" 4K UHD Touchscreen Business/Gaming Laptop, Intel Quad-Core i7-7700HQ 16GB DDR4 256GB SSD+2TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 USB Type-C Win 10) I received intermittent results.1. The meters would not show input even though I could hear myself in the mic from the Interface.2. Upon re-boot and Windows diagnostic, I would get a wave form start recording, but then it would stop displaying during that recording session.3. Restarting the project (even after ensuring the tracks were armed and assigned). Again, I would not see a waveform record.4. Sometimes one track would record, but when I armed another tack the same way, I got no input.T

Hello all!I am a fairly new Adobe Audition user. I record weathercasts for a local radio station, and use Team Viewer to upload them into their content management system.I need help with this. I record weather as 8 separate files, then I run a batch process to work a few effects and save them into a folder where I can transfer them. I would like to add a music bed underneath them, and use one single process to add the music bed into them all, and save them.Is there a way to do something like this other than having to re-add them one by one into Audition and add the bed individually. I would like to see if there is a way to expand the Batch process to add the music bed into them all, after I process the effects for the voice files, and save them all individually automatically. Is this possible? If so how?Brad H
I just moved to a new PC from an Imac (2013) and am noticing very bad choppy/stutter/lag/latency/ when moving clips around in multitrack. (I have all snapping turned off. There is about a half second between moving my mouse to where the clip should go to the clip actually ending up there. Same thing when trimming tracks. Very frustrating. My new computer should be able to handle anything audition can throw at it. (i7 7700k cpu, gtx 1080 gpu, 64 gb ram (32gb allotted to audition). Is there a setting somewhere I am missing or what?
When I click "edit clip in audition" from premiere pro, and then edit the audio clip and save it, the resulting file is a mono file. I need it to not convert to a mono file and to instead keep it as a stereo file. (The original is in stereo). I have been looking all over for a setting that affects this to no avail. How do I KEEP the file as a stereo file so that it does not convert automatically to mono?
Hi there, i'am recording solos by my guitar using VST config, everything works well.i have in the track1 the complete song, and the solos guitar parts in track2.When i start rec a new clip into the gutar track i can't hear the previous recorded clip, which is important to take the right time to play guitar. So my question is that: is it possible to rec different clip on the same track, listening all the previous recorded clip during each new rec session?Thank you for any answer.
I set the cross-fade option to be active, but when I create tones and insert them side by side, there is no cross-fade at the junction between tones. It worked a few days ago, but not now.
Good evening,I am running Audition CC_2017.1.1; Build 10.1.1.11; and I have encountered an issue I thought had been resolved. While recording in "waveform" a straight forward narration project (no music, sfx, plugins, or favorites) Audition stopped working and stopped recording in the middle of the session. I had previously manually saved the audio file to disk (internal) as it is a long file and I do this as a normal practice. So when I had to force quit the program to recover, I wasn't concerned about the file. However, when I started Audition again, and was prompted to "cancel, delete or continue" with the file replacement, I chose to "continue". When I opened this file which is supposed to be a "recovery" file for just such occurrences, I noticed that the audio file had significant parts of the audio clipped/missing.What's going on here? The voice talent had to stay longer (at expense) to re-record these lines, not to mention the time lost prepar
Hi,After I updated to Adobe Audition Version 12.1.0.182 I get a weird error.I mix something in multitrack. Then I match the loudness settings and then I "Save all"., After doing that a couple of my files show this error message:This NEVER happenerd before and only started to appear after upgrading this week to the latest version of Audition.
Hello, guys. So, the dreadful 0 bytes file thing happened to me. My Tascam lost power during the recording. I left the SD card untouched and made an image copy of the drive so I could import it in Audition as raw data in order to find the corrupted take. My input settings were 48khz, 24 bit PCM, Stereo (just as recorded) and Little Endian. I have tried values 0, 1 and 2 (even 3) in the "start byte offset" space. What I get is an almost 4-hour long audio file with 85% ultra-saturated sound at 0db (or almost) and the other 15% are chunks of good audio with normal levels. Where levels are just a little below 0db I can tell those are takes that I recorded just fine--Apart from this one take I'm trying to recover, I can play all other files on my computer and they all have normal levels (all of them 48khz, 24 bit, stereo). When I change the value to 0, 1 or 2 the chunks that sound good are all different, but still, together they comprise about 15% of the entire file. When I changed the value
Hi, I'm an amateur voice actor in my own native language but today I started to speak English for the first time in my life and I find out that I'm too bad at speaking English. here is a few sentences I record in audition. https://instaud.io/3yMH Is there any hope for me to become an English voice actor?
I have created several sine waves end to end, but the waveforms do not abut against each other. How do I adjust the waveform on the right so that the signal abuts exactly against the end of the one on the left?
HiI'm trying to get the best and most consistent sound out of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47CVB4dATSo with Adobe AuditionI've already watched the tutorial videos and read several help articles about noise removal or audio restoration. but due to the overwhelming amount of tools, my lack of experience and no knowledge of the specific terminology I don't know how to get there.Would you mind taking a listen to the video to tell me step by step what I need to do specifically?Thank you so much for your help!JW
I am still having an impossible difficulty creating test tones in Audition. I want to have 19 kHz and 20 kHz sine waves at 24/192 sampling. When I create the tones, the base tone is 1 kHz. I set the level at -5 dB. I set the multiplier to be 19 and 20 but it won't go above 12. I set the duration at 1 minute. When I play the tones, it clips. It will not play them at - 5 dB. Audition is some of the worst crap software I have ever used. Just impossible.
Is there a way to set audition up so while recording it will only record from a certain db and up? If not does anyone know an application that records audio well that this is possible with?I am currently using Audition 2019. Thank you.
I have a podcast that was being professionally produced but now I am transitioning to doing it on my own with my co-host. My question is- How do I successfully plug two USB microphones into my Mac and record a multichannel podcast on Audition? Everyone seems to have issues with the second microphone quality or it doesn't record at all. Should I just use a different system or is this actually easy and all I need is someone to walk me through it? Thanks!Alexandra
