Hello all!I am a fairly new Adobe Audition user. I record weathercasts for a local radio station, and use Team Viewer to upload them into their content management system.I need help with this. I record weather as 8 separate files, then I run a batch process to work a few effects and save them into a folder where I can transfer them. I would like to add a music bed underneath them, and use one single process to add the music bed into them all, and save them.Is there a way to do something like this other than having to re-add them one by one into Audition and add the bed individually. I would like to see if there is a way to expand the Batch process to add the music bed into them all, after I process the effects for the voice files, and save them all individually automatically. Is this possible? If so how?Brad H
I just moved to a new PC from an Imac (2013) and am noticing very bad choppy/stutter/lag/latency/ when moving clips around in multitrack. (I have all snapping turned off. There is about a half second between moving my mouse to where the clip should go to the clip actually ending up there. Same thing when trimming tracks. Very frustrating. My new computer should be able to handle anything audition can throw at it. (i7 7700k cpu, gtx 1080 gpu, 64 gb ram (32gb allotted to audition). Is there a setting somewhere I am missing or what?
When I click "edit clip in audition" from premiere pro, and then edit the audio clip and save it, the resulting file is a mono file. I need it to not convert to a mono file and to instead keep it as a stereo file. (The original is in stereo). I have been looking all over for a setting that affects this to no avail. How do I KEEP the file as a stereo file so that it does not convert automatically to mono?
Hi there, i'am recording solos by my guitar using VST config, everything works well.i have in the track1 the complete song, and the solos guitar parts in track2.When i start rec a new clip into the gutar track i can't hear the previous recorded clip, which is important to take the right time to play guitar. So my question is that: is it possible to rec different clip on the same track, listening all the previous recorded clip during each new rec session?Thank you for any answer.
I set the cross-fade option to be active, but when I create tones and insert them side by side, there is no cross-fade at the junction between tones. It worked a few days ago, but not now.
Good evening,I am running Audition CC_2017.1.1; Build 10.1.1.11; and I have encountered an issue I thought had been resolved. While recording in "waveform" a straight forward narration project (no music, sfx, plugins, or favorites) Audition stopped working and stopped recording in the middle of the session. I had previously manually saved the audio file to disk (internal) as it is a long file and I do this as a normal practice. So when I had to force quit the program to recover, I wasn't concerned about the file. However, when I started Audition again, and was prompted to "cancel, delete or continue" with the file replacement, I chose to "continue". When I opened this file which is supposed to be a "recovery" file for just such occurrences, I noticed that the audio file had significant parts of the audio clipped/missing.What's going on here? The voice talent had to stay longer (at expense) to re-record these lines, not to mention the time lost prepar
Hi,After I updated to Adobe Audition Version 12.1.0.182 I get a weird error.I mix something in multitrack. Then I match the loudness settings and then I "Save all"., After doing that a couple of my files show this error message:This NEVER happenerd before and only started to appear after upgrading this week to the latest version of Audition.
Hello, guys. So, the dreadful 0 bytes file thing happened to me. My Tascam lost power during the recording. I left the SD card untouched and made an image copy of the drive so I could import it in Audition as raw data in order to find the corrupted take. My input settings were 48khz, 24 bit PCM, Stereo (just as recorded) and Little Endian. I have tried values 0, 1 and 2 (even 3) in the "start byte offset" space. What I get is an almost 4-hour long audio file with 85% ultra-saturated sound at 0db (or almost) and the other 15% are chunks of good audio with normal levels. Where levels are just a little below 0db I can tell those are takes that I recorded just fine--Apart from this one take I'm trying to recover, I can play all other files on my computer and they all have normal levels (all of them 48khz, 24 bit, stereo). When I change the value to 0, 1 or 2 the chunks that sound good are all different, but still, together they comprise about 15% of the entire file. When I changed the value
Hi, I'm an amateur voice actor in my own native language but today I started to speak English for the first time in my life and I find out that I'm too bad at speaking English. here is a few sentences I record in audition. https://instaud.io/3yMH Is there any hope for me to become an English voice actor?
I have created several sine waves end to end, but the waveforms do not abut against each other. How do I adjust the waveform on the right so that the signal abuts exactly against the end of the one on the left?
HiI'm trying to get the best and most consistent sound out of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47CVB4dATSo with Adobe AuditionI've already watched the tutorial videos and read several help articles about noise removal or audio restoration. but due to the overwhelming amount of tools, my lack of experience and no knowledge of the specific terminology I don't know how to get there.Would you mind taking a listen to the video to tell me step by step what I need to do specifically?Thank you so much for your help!JW
I am still having an impossible difficulty creating test tones in Audition. I want to have 19 kHz and 20 kHz sine waves at 24/192 sampling. When I create the tones, the base tone is 1 kHz. I set the level at -5 dB. I set the multiplier to be 19 and 20 but it won't go above 12. I set the duration at 1 minute. When I play the tones, it clips. It will not play them at - 5 dB. Audition is some of the worst crap software I have ever used. Just impossible.
Is there a way to set audition up so while recording it will only record from a certain db and up? If not does anyone know an application that records audio well that this is possible with?I am currently using Audition 2019. Thank you.
I have a podcast that was being professionally produced but now I am transitioning to doing it on my own with my co-host. My question is- How do I successfully plug two USB microphones into my Mac and record a multichannel podcast on Audition? Everyone seems to have issues with the second microphone quality or it doesn't record at all. Should I just use a different system or is this actually easy and all I need is someone to walk me through it? Thanks!Alexandra
I've encountered a fatal error in my program: it immediately crashes upon opening one particular session: It was functioning properly, but I went to add additional vocals and edits to it, and I drag copied one particular clip, and it initially gave me the fatal error and needs to shut down message; after reopening it, it pauses for a few seconds, and same thing - encountered a fatal error and needs to shut down; I have most, if not all of the tracks pre-rendered, and it seems as though it's causing some real bad latency issue, which is subsequently causing the error. I have the Auto Save every 10 mins box checked in the preferences, but can't locate a folder for it anywhere in the system (macOS Mavericks - Audition CS6), previous research enlightened me that the Auto Save feature got updated/expanded with version CC2015, but was hoping for some sort of file retrieval option for my particular version if anyone know of any... alternatively, is there a way to open a session with the pre-r
Starting last week, when in multitrack, right-clicking, insert->files command stopped inserting the files to the track. It opens the files but doesn't insert them into the multitrack session. I can use the right-click->insert->[name of already open file], that works fine. "Insert files" from Multirack menu doesn't worker either. Is there some setting somewhere I need to reset to get open and insert to work again?
Unfortunately there's a bug in this release which was only discovered just before launch date. The situation is that when you right-click in a blank part of a Track in Multitrack view and select Insert/Files, it doesn't work any more. If you select a file in the Import File window that opens, it now just gets added to the Files panel, and not directly onto the Track. In the previous release, it's added to the track, as it should be if you select it from there.Things you can do: You should have no difficulty in rolling back to the previous version using the CC app, if this is really bugging you.Alternatively, although not ideal, you can go about the process in a slightly different way: If you have a multitrack session open, you can locate the file you want to add completely outside Audition (i.e. not in the Files window but in its own folder on your machine). Pick it up, and drop it on the timeline. It opens where you drop it, and it's also now present in the Files window. This should, I
Hi Fist time on here Im hoping you can help Im running up to date Adobe Audition cc and its linked to a Behringer X32 through USB, 32 in/ 32 out. It records fine no issues at all, but I was trying to get the AA to Playback through a different sound card but I have just learned from here that that's not possible, so this is OK, but I have no idea how to Route AA so it will play back to the X32.So how the inputs work is - Channel 1-9 is just Drums. When I play back a multi track session, how to I route this back to my X32, so I can hear it on my monitors? and can the same setting be use when playing back a Single track session? Thanks for any help CheersGlen
When recording the overload indicators on the level meters don't function anymore how overload the incoming signal may be. I tried resetting Audition (CS6) and I even reinstalled the software but to no avail. It is just like if a hidden hard limiter is at work. Even with ridiculous high input levels the signal seems not to go over 0 db. Can anyone explain me that (and give me a tip how to resolve this?
When editing long passages of dialogue, I like to stretch the original audio to 66% and then continue on editing. I use ripple delete to get rid of unnecessary pauses and such. When I'm done and I have a handful of clips leftover, if I hit Cmd+A and try to stretch everything back to 100%, I get a bunch over overlapping clips. The reason this happens is that none of the clips' start positions move. Is there a way to stretch multiple consecutive clips such that the later clips adjust their start position relative to the earlier clip's stretched end positions?e.g. I have Clip A and stretch it to 66%. I used Ripple Delete in the middle of Clip A and now have Clips B and C with the beginning of C snapped to the end of B. How can I stretch both clips (back up to 100%) so that Clip B doesn't stretch into Clip C? I want Clip C's start location to move with Clip B's new end location once it's been stretched back up to 100%. Put another way, I want the snap between Clips B and C to move when I s
How do I generate a tone in only one channel, with the other channel being silent? And how do I generate separate tones in each channel?
Ok, so nooowwww…..I want to click between files...well, the picture says it all.thanks in advance.
eg Session1: Interview recording - needs 2nd mic muting when not used (with appropriate fades), eq, compression, level adjustments etc.Session2: editorial cut of session1, music added etcIdeally it would also be possible to ‘relink’ the session 1 to an updated version. Why?:Mainly to enable 2 people to work concurrently in a fast turnaround situation but also there are times when the same interview may be used multiple times for different shows. Be very useful to have non-destructive & tweakable cleaned master interview.Bonus question:Are there other DAWs that have this? Certainly some NLEs do.(Workaround currently is to do export session1 and relink master file to the fixed wav in session 2)
Hi! I updated to 12.1.0.182 and all of my prefs are missing. File>Import> application setting gives me error messages "could not be imported as application settings due to an unknown error.." How do i get them back?
