In the parametric equaliser, you are able to keyframe all the different values except the Low Pass filter (LP). Playing with the other envelopes doesn't give me the same scope of control and not being able to alter it over time is a bit frustrating! Am using it in the effects rack in Multitrack Editor. Opening up the "show envelopes" menu shows every value except for the Low Pass.
I’d like to suggest a powerful time-saving feature for Adobe Audition: the ability to multi-select non-contiguous regions of audio in the Waveform Editor, Spectral View, and Multitrack Editor.Currently, we can only select and apply edits or effects to one region at a time. This becomes extremely repetitive and inefficient when working with long sessions, like a 1-hour podcast or vocal track where you need to remove breaths, apply silence, or process certain words repeatedly. The proposed Multi-Selection feature would allow us to:Select multiple regions of the waveform, even from different places in the same clip or across tracksZoom, scroll, or navigate without interrupting the selection processApply edits (cut, delete, silence) or batch effects to all selected regions at onceWork seamlessly in both Waveform and Spectral views, as well as in the Multitrack EditorThis would save hours of manual repetitive work for editors, podcasters, voice-over artists, and sound designers. It’s a small
Please PLEASE work on our ability to select multiple tracks at once. This would be a massive time saver.Thank you!
Default file format export settings are really missing.
Premiere Pro can transcript (Speech to text). Why the hell isn't it possible to make the same process in Audition? It is very important for Podcasting, Interviews etcetera.
I want to be able to right click on a time gap in the multitrack editor, go to the Ripple Delete context submenu, and select an option called "All Gaps". Right now there's an option called "Gap", which closes the empty space between two clips in the track, but I want an option to do that with EVERY clip on the track, all at once. I record voiceovers in Audition and delete the dead air between takes, and right now there's a laborious, tedious, and unnecessary step between deleting that dead air and actually moving the clips together on the timeline. That step is to right click each and every gap between each and every take, one by one, and select the "Ripple Delete Gap" option (which there isn't even a keyboard shortcut for by default). This literally increases how long it takes to finish a job by a multiple of however many takes were recorded. There's no technical reason that Audition can't identify where empty space is on a track and ripple delete all of it. Other programs can do
ALAC is a commonly used high quality audio format and I discovered recently via a support session that is is not/no longer supported in Audition. https://helpx.adobe.com/audition/using/supported-file-formats.htmlIt used to be the case that I could take an audio clip of, for example, 2,116 kbps, slice it up in Audition's multitrack editor and export it to the same quality. This is no longer the case. Now when I export a slice of 2,116 kbps ALAC-format audio to the same format (choosing options to export at the same quality as the source audio) I get a file that's 1,591 kbps. Clearly, that doesn't reflect the export options I've selected. This is immensely annoying as ALAC is a format I work a lot with and I only started encountering this issue within the last few months. Please fix it. There's no justification for not supporting mainstream audio formats.
There a small window in Audition. In german it's name is "Auswahl/Ansicht", so I guess it's "selection/view" in english or similar, where you can see the timecode of you placed cursor and/or the lengh of your selection. I personally think that it would be useful if you could select the font size of the numbers.(Of course you can maximize the window itself, but that doesn't change the font size of the numbers.)
I've been using Adobe Audition for 20 years. I have projects as old as 15 years ago that I plan to revisit. Unfortunately, I can no longer open them because they are .ses files while modern multitrack files are .sesx files. Can we get something that has backwards compatitbility that could allow us to still open these .ses files? Or at least can we still have a link to download Adobe Audition 3? I would hate to lose access to these multitracks.
More and more mice (mouses?) have multiple keys. It would we tremendiously helpful to remap mouse keys to user functions as is possible with keyboard shortcuts.I would prefere that the scroll wheel could also be used to scroll in time, instead of zooming in and out.It would be great to map the additional mouse keys to functions as well. Thanks for your consideration.
I need to change the offset of the skip selection. The current default of one second is far too short. I would like to set it to 10 to 15 seconds, as to get the context of the cut.I used Magix Samplitude for many years and there I could set the offset to my desired time. The topic in Discussions was not helpful at all. Thanks for your consideration, as I am sure there a many more that look for that feature. Google brings up the question by many, but no answer could be found.
One feature that I find to be lacking in Audition is to record audio produced by one's computer. In the past, I used Audacity to do this, but I currently have issues with using Audacity. I think that Audition needs a feature like this where I can record audio from my desktop. For example, if I want to record a podcast that I'm playing on my computer it would be great for Audition to directly record it without having to use a mic.
Maybe this is a thing, but I haven't found it yet, but I would love to have the ability to search music in Audition the same way I can in Premiere. I do quite a few radio spots and always need to export the audio track to bring into Premiere to search for audio tracks from Adobe Music. If this is already available, please let me know how to us it in Audition.
Why can't we overwrite files during exports?I use the audio I export in different programs like premiere pro. Why can't I just put an audition export on a premiere time line, change something in audition and overwrite the previous export so that the new one takes its place in the premiere pro timeline. I don't think there is a technical obstacle for this?pleas make it possible
I hate Microsoft with a passion, they've bricked 2 laptops and cost me THOUSANDS trying to retrieve lost audio files (yes, yes, I should've backed up my computer, but I didn't because I was like 19 and stupid and the automatic updates that I turned off **shouldn't have gone through anyway, and an update shouldn't have broken my computer**) so I'm ditching them for Linux, but I love Audition and really hate to lose my favorite audio editing software. It would be sooooooooo so so cool if you guys could make a version that's Linux compatible, especially with the rise in Linux users that's happening these days.
Would love to have auto-fade option on razor tool. Whenever I edit an audio clip, I create fades on both sides to make sure the audio doesn't pop or crackle. Other DAWS have the feature to create automatic fades with the cutting (razor) tool. Would really like to see this in adobe as well. Thank you.
Hello,I just wanted to say that we're in 2025, and I'd like to know if Adobe will ever manage to remove the word "mixdown" from files exported in Adobe Audition.Thank you.
I would appreciate the ability to re-program the playback shortcut from Space to another key - for me, it would be the down arrow key. This would allow me to very quickly edit my audio without having to move my hands on the keyboard at all as I have reassigned Mix Paste to Shift + Up Arrow, and as a I mouse left handed, toggling is the only thing I really need to lift my hand for.
when released date exactly for adobe research like Project Music GenAI Control and i need request photoshop for audio or add feature on firefly name " rewrite or redub text edit for video or audio"
With Audition 24 and above, Burn Audio to CD… is an option under the File > Export menu, but now an error message comes up: "Sorry, Audition doesn't support CD burning on Arm processors." This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. If it doesn't support CD burning, then why is it part of the Mac version? Not to mention that I haven't had any problems burning discs in Apple Music, or burning files to disc from my Mac's desktop. So, clearly it is possible. Yet, for some strange reason, Adobe chooses not to take the time to re-enable the feature. What's up with that? I would like to not have to keep several versions of the same program on my computer just so I can use all of the features it used to have… Kevin(Mac Studio, M1, MacOS Ventura 13.7.2, Sony external DVD/CD burner)
I record voiceovers in the multitrack mode of Adobe Audition. This allows me to edit non-destructively. After recording, I go through the track and delete all breath sounds which separates the file into separate clips.Next, I apply subtle symmetrical fades to each clip on the track to smooth transitions between silent and audio sections, eliminating subtle 'pops.' Applying the symmetrical fades can be a very time-consuming process depending on the length of the recording. I've been wanting this for years. Somebody please make this happen!
I use Adobe Audition to record dialog for an animated web series that I create. For years I had difficulty getting clean recordings due to background sound. As many know, without an actual recording studio, it is difficult to have a completely quiet place to record. It never fails, when I would try to record, someone was running the vacuum, mowing the grass, banging pans, etc. Even the sound of a fan or air conditioner is bothersome. Well… I no longer have that problem. I bought a new laptop, with Windows 10. Surprisingly, I found that when I recorded audio, it will ONLY pickup voices. It will NOT pickup any other sound. I can literally clap my hands right into the microphone and it will NOT pick up the sound. I can bang my hand on the desk and make the loudest sound possible and it will NOT pick up the sound. It is amazing. I can run the air conditioner and it will NOT pickup the sound of it. As I noted, it will ONLY pi
hi guys .. my name is dani, i have a beast of a PC with 28 cores to work with and Audition only knows to use one of them, two at best .. my suggestion is to work on multicore usage .. thank you ( btw i have a 150k subscribers youtube channel :D, i have somwhat of a voice) 😄 thank you ..
Currently, if you open several files for batch processing, and then run a batch (let's say an Amplify), the batch runs properly, but then it automatically saves all the files. It seems that it should not save the files unless you select to Save All Files. Currently, if you run that batch, and then realize you made a mistake, you then have to Undo that Effect for every file, and then select Save All. This can be very time consuming with a large batch of files. There should be a setting to change this behavior if preferred.
