Audition

Can volume keyframes be copied from one track to another... or can multiple tracks with keyframes be adjusted at the same time? If not... it would be super helpful... in Premiere attributes can be copied from one track to another, maybe I am missing how to.  In AVID 2 tracks can be adjusted at once keyframe wise.  It would be very helpful to have Adobe Audition have this capability, especially since it is the audio mixing program and in theory, there should be more ability to control.  Again please let me know if I have overlooked how to... I am new to audition.  Many thanks.

Hi everyone, I frequently work in Adobe Audition and often need to move multiple clips forward or backward on the timeline. In Premiere Pro, I use the Track Select Forward Tool and Track Select Backward Tool to quickly select and move all clips from a certain point forward or backward. However, I can't seem to find a similar tool in Audition, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to replicate this functionality here.  Has anyone found a workaround or method to select multiple clips forward or backward based on the playhead position in Audition? Or is there any way to use a macro or external tool to achieve this? Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions!

I really want AAF import support!

Currently, when I create a series of markers they are numbered sequentially which is fine. ie, 1, 2, 3... However, if I delete, say Marker 3, and then make a new marker, that one is named is Marker 4. I would expect the Marker name to resume at 3 since I just deleted 3. This is important to me because I often create selection markers for glossary terms that need to remain in the exact sequence in which they were recorded. If I delete a marker there is no way to go back and reset the count without deleting all the markers, closing the file and starting over. Manually changing the marker names is a time consuming process and definitely not a desirable option.It would be great if Audition would query the list of existing markers when a new marker was made, and automatically name the new one to immediately follow the value of the last existing marker.

Specially in multitrack mode Adobe Audition seems to forget in which new directory you just created and working in. Everybody's adminstration and seeking for the right file and file location, would be much simpler if the 'Untitled' files plus number & Untilted Session' names would automaticly suggest rename the name of the directory you're working in, in stead of this 'Untitled' BS.  Thanks for reading and bringing this up to the Audition creators.  Best, René 😉

I'm using the mac version (macOS 14.7), and after upgrading from Audition 2024 (V24.6) to Audition 2025 (V25), the fonts in the user interface are noticeably smaller by one font size, but I've searched around the settings and I can't find anything to set them. It's very annoying to have to adjust the overall macOS display settings because it changes everything else along with it. Is there any way to adjust the font size? Is this the only way to display more content on a 4K display with such small fonts? It's just too much, Adobe, can you please adjust it back?Translated with DeepL.com (free version)

i haven't seen this reported anywhere elsewhere so it seams like I'm an edge case, but essentially Audition for me is acting like programs do when your CPU is taxed 100%. The whole program is just extremely laggy, the whole window takes ages to move then I try to drag it around, it takes a long time to open effect windows, the playhead is laggy, ect... It's worth stating that my PC is pretty overpowered for Audition so there shouldn't be any issues like this and there weren't any before. It's just acting like my PC is working too hard but it's not, i have no idea why this would happen besides some weird bug.

Why does the same transcription feature from Premiere Pro not exist in Audition?  This would be a game-changer for anyone who uses Audition for making podcasts or radio stories.

I Know I'm not the first to say this, but definitely been a while since this question was addressed.I do alot of voiceover reads that come in all shapes and sizes, but most of the time it's just text on screen copied from a web page, as well as scratch and professional reads for work using transcripts, srt's, google docs, pdf's, etc. I realize that audition is an audio only workflow, as I've read in other forums, but why can't there be a simple text only window added to the (window) menu where you can copy/paste or input text into a field? Having to switch back and forth between pages while reading, or collapsing and expanding windows is kind of a pain, and yes, I have a dual monitor but the angles of my monitor vs where my mic is positioned isn't always in favor of that technique if I'm reading, or standing away from my desktop. Likewise scrolling while you read a document in another window can be distracting to the content you are making, and I prefer not to have to jup back and

Is there a way to normalize or match loudness a track on conditions? I.e.: only if track peack is higher than -2 normalize to -3, or similar...cheers 

I feel very comfortable if Audition can copy paste the effects from one clip to another clip directly without any preset options as like premiere pro can.If we open a audio clip from premiere pro to audition, that clip will be exported and opens in audition. I don't know if this can be possible or not, but.. If the clip can directly open without exporting, then we can also modify the clip timings. i.e: In and Out extensions/ Trimming or extending.

In every other piece of professional audio software I am aware of, I can share effect presets with others by finding the file, such as "giant_reverb.pst" etc., and sending to someone else who drops it in the same place on their computer, or imports, or whatever.In Audition 2018, these seem to be stored in a big single XML file. Can this really be true? Is there no way to share? I just spent all day creating presets to share with a co-worker, but now I find there is no way to share just the relevant presets without sharing the rest.This is a stunning omission IMO, and not realistic for a product that could be used by multiple people in a company, studio, band, etc.

PLEASE can we incorporate folders in Adobe Audition for basic organization! We need to properly collect similar audio assets together, the majority of which have very disimilar file names, into nicely organized folders so that sound design isn't a completely nightmare in Audition.

Creating a feature that allows the history to be exported to a text format for Adobe Audition or to be embedded in the metadata of the processed audio (similar to what exists in Photoshop), this would allow seeing exactly what was done to the audio file and provide traceability to the changes, in the forensic field it would be very helpful.

I know I'm not the first person to request this... Adobe. Babe. Please. PLEASE update and improve the essentially nonexistent media/file/folder management in Audition. PLEASE. What you have for After Effects should be the standard. It is absolutely infuriating that after all this time we still cannot organize media into folders and subfolders inside of Audition. Seriously - why is this not already there? It makes working on larger projects extremely unweildy. And yes, I've seen some legacy users reply to these requests with variations of "Grow up, it's not a problem!" and, respectfully, just don't. If it's not a problem for you, that's great and congratulations. It's a problem for enough of us that it's been raised for years. Anyway - Adobe... please... pretty please with sugar on top... FIX IT.

I think it may  have been  discussed elsewhere, but i present a radio show, my set up is a RODECASTER Pro II, a RODE NT-1 signature microphone, and i record onto ADOBE AUDITION, i drag the music MP3 file format. and record (i know some of you are gonna shout) a continious file, is there a way i can make ALL the recordings the same level please, (oh i have a MacBook Air) and it does have a mouse.Say how do i hightlight the whole show and make changes before exporting...Sorry i am kinda new to this...........but any help would be useful.  

It would be great if on the Mixdown dialog box, there was a check box something like this:[  ] Don't let effect tails increase track's durationCurrently, when you mix down a track, it may add a second or two to the end of the track to handle the tail of any effect, such as the decay in Reverb.  For Radio (which is what we use Audition for) you need very exact, clean, tight edits.  The extra duration that gets added from certain effects is a big problem.  We get around it by using automation and cutting off the envelope for the effects a second or two before the track ends, but that is a lot of work when you're dealing with hundreds of tracks each week.  It would just be great if we could check or uncheck a box to have the rail of any effects automatically cut off, so the duration stays the same.(You'll also see a lot of people on the forums very confused why the length of the mixed down track is larger than the track in the editor.) 

When I start a new editing project, I first create a new subfolder before I get started and put all the source items in that particular folder. Why does Audition keeps calling all new generated items, mixdowns and  sessions 'untitled'? Instead of copying the name of my starting folder? You'll be completely exhausted later, especially as Audition also has problems putting your mixdown in the right folder. AA always puts it in the penultimate project. Choosing the actual folder name instead of 'untitled' should at least be an option in settings, autosave & backup. Best, René

Adobe Audition is amazing I love it, it's awesome for editing audio but the one thing that is missing is a grid. This would make music editing so much easier. This way you could set the bpm & sync everything in time. Audition would also gain so many more users with a grid. Adobe make us a grid for audition please 🥺

I do a lot of editing in Audition. I understand that the space bar is used to start and stop playing. However, if an alternative button was available, to turn the cursor into a hand to move the editor display to the right or left instead of selecting audio, it would be excellent. Having to move the cursor back and forth from the top of the panel and back to selection is cumbersom at best.

A save projects option is necessary, to be able to save progress, similar to Adobe Premiere.In the forensic field it is necessary to know what exactly was applied to an audio, that is why a functionality is necessary to export history, which shows us in detail what was done and in what period. 

I'm in college and taking a digital media class which is required for my program.  In this course we get a pretty decent intro to the different apps in the cloud.  Part of the learning is that we go through the official Adobe tutorials for the corresponding apps we're learning (Photoshop, Ai, Au etc.)I noticed that most adobe apps have a tutorials panel (attached image is an example one of the tutorial panels in photoshop) that pops up and accompanies you through step-by-step instructions on how to perform a process.  This panel also shows points of interest and explains rationale.  This was actually pretty helpful in learning and completing assignments.   Then i got to the Au module in the learning.  I was given a list of tutorials i need to take and immediately upon starting them i noticed that tutorial panel is not there.  Rather, the tutorials consist of a bunch of very very short videos that demo a very short process but does nothing to

When performing manual pitch correction, if I just adjusted a pitch key frame then press ctrl-Z (undo), it does not undo the adjustment to the key frame. Rather, it undoes the action before I selected "manual pitch correction (process..)" There are two issues here:(1) unable to undo adjustments to pitch keyframes(2) able to undo the actions outside of the pitch correction process This feels counter intuitive and could cause confusion and loss of edit. I propose during the "manual pitch correction (process..)", the undo action should undo keyframes adjustments or other actions since "manual pitch correction (process..) was clicked. And if there is no more keyframe adjustment to undo, it should do nothing and beep or display a message "nothing to undo". If the user wants to undo the action before he click "manual pitch correction (process..)", he would have to cancel out of the pitch correction process and click undo.
